Restaurant Dicker Mann Hotel zum Blauen Krebs

Difficult to say what I liked most about the hotel. For me it was probably the authentic and rustic charme of the complete building and the room. Each room is unique, and you can breathe the history that surrounds the building. There seem to be no straight lines anywhere. Everything is smooth and wonderfully aged. The hotel has a charme that is impossible to describe. If you are a fan of modern and uniform looking hotels, you may need some time to adapt. My room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Same for the bathroom. And if you get the chance, don't miss out the great restaurant in the same buidling. Staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and each of them went extra miles to make the guests feel welcome. I can wholeheartidly recommend this hotel and restaurant.

It is a cute place with a great restaurant attached. We were welcomed with a complimentary cocktail that was tasty and original. The man who checked us in was jovial and friendly. The room was large and very well apportioned.

The hotel is adjacent to the restaurant and you have to kind of check in at the restaurant and then go through a patio next door to go to the hotel. Not really a bad thing, but out of the ordinary. My only real complaint is that the waitstaff at the restaurant were impatient and gruff. We have German speakers in our party, so it wasn't just impatience with English speakers, rather just grumpiness. Having said that, the waitstaff did peak English, the food arrived in a timely fashion and was very good.

We hadn't visited Regensburg before, so didn't quite know what to expect. We were very happily surprised to find ourselves staying at this charming hotel, in a large bedroom in the 14th century house. It was like visiting a well-maintained medieval manor house, yet being permitted to stay there as guests. And right in the heart of the beautiful old town too, wonderful. Everything about this stay was exceptional, from the smile on our breakfast eggs to the friendliness and care of the staff. Highly recommended.

Very cool old building with lots of character. Each room is uniquely themed and furnished accordingly. Room well-equipped (we were in the Mozart room) with a nice bathroom. Bikes securely stored in their inner courtyard and breakfast was served at the table with eggs, bread, croissants, meat, cheese, etc. Very generous. If you want to eat dinner there, you definitely need a reservation!

Only thing to the negative was that we were up three LONG flights of stairs to our room. There is no elevator. Stairs are a bit uneven so had to be very careful.

This is a perfect getaway hotel with adjacent restaurant—the food is authentic German, with big portions and moderate prices; excellent selection of local beers and wines; and you know it’s good by seeing so many locals every night. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with an “Old World” decor that’s still comfortable. The staff is very welcoming and efficient. Breakfast is authentic German and varied in selection of eggs, meats, pastries, etc. Location is central to shopping, many, many bars and restaurants; and train station is less than a mile away.

- Great location very close the old town sights - Toscana family room is located in the building right across the narrow cobblestoned street from the restaurant where the reception can be found, the room is very spacious, clean and looks marvelous (old fashioned style interior but with modern facilities) - Complimentary bottles of water are always appreciated - The check-in was easy despite the staff being very busy with the restaurant guests - Free drink vouchers as a welcome gift is a very nice touch (at least available in September 2022) - Breakfast was delicious and substantial (a platter with cold cuts, veggies, cheese, fruits and berries, yogurt, spreads, boiled eggs, bread basket also containing fresh croissants, orange juice and a drink of choice (tasty cappuccino in our case)), it's brought right to your table (the tables for the hotel guests are booked for breakfast time in the restaurant) - Not related to the hotel itself, but we also had dinner in the Dicker Mann restaurant, and it was super good, highly recommend to eat there at least once :)

This hotel was in a perfect location for attending the Christmas Markets located throughout town. It was an easy 12-14 min walk from the train station and conveniently located to everything else within the town. In addition, they have a very good restaurant for dinner and their morning breakfast was very nice too.

It's not that I didn't like it, but we had a room on the 3rd floor and the building doesn't have an elevator. It did not affect our stay but it is something anyone with mobility issues needs to keep in mind.

excellent location in centre of Regensburg. Very quirky medieval building. Large room and comfortable bed. Hotel restaurant had great food -best meal we had in Regensburg. Staff were charming and very helpful.

Because of the age of the building floors creaked and therefore people above could be heard but this is part of its charm. I would have no hesitation in booking again on another trip to Regensburg

Amazing location, walking distance to everywhere. Parking is also close to the accommodation. Great breakfast, cleanliness, staff, food in restaurant and draft beer :-).

Noise. The guests behaved like inconsiderate and drunken cattle. However, the hotel is not responsible for the behavior of the guests, every self-righteous person should know how to behave. Otherwise a pleasant stay for us. Regensburg is a beautiful city.

Location in the centre of old town. Modern, clean facilities in a big and comfortable bedroom with quality linen. We received clean towels each day as well. We enjoyed the breakfast and excellent coffee as well as their beer. Can certainly recommend this place.

Our window was next to the restaurant and ons of the evenings the guests were loud until midnight.
