Hotel Goliath am Dom

Everything! My wife and I especially appreciated one small detail, having washcloths, which are a rarity at a German hotel. The staff was so helpful and pleasant. We loved the breakfast, which featured a lot of nice fruit, delicious breads, and a wonderful selection of meats and cheeses.

The parking is close to the hotel but a little tricky to find. I don’t think there’s much they could do about it because big signs would be very out of place in the well-preserved old town.

Perfect place for our stopover visit in Regensburg. The hotel is very neat and pleasant. Friendly and professional staff. Wallet parking at the hotel, which was very convinent for us upon late arrival. During week day street sounds may be waking up early, but only when sleeping with windows open. The hotel also serves excellent and tasty breakfast. Short walk to Orphee restaurant nearby. We liked our stay at this hotel.

Very centrally located close by all main sights. Nicely furnished. Agreeable coffee bar at ground level. Parking nearby. Very good breakfast. Receptionist was quite helpful in pointing out where the main sights are in town.

Pillows were very thin. Getting out of the bath/shower is a bit difficult. Website should warn foreign travellers that in Regensburg, there is a need for an ‘Umweltplakette’ - an environmental sticker.

Location of the hotel is amazing. Breakfast was charming and yummy. We liked that we could book and use sauna and wellness room just by ourselves, not being intereptued by anybody.

The room which we got was way out of what the hotel is presenting on the booking as standard room. I chose the hotel because I liked the visual site if the room, colorful walls and cool combinations of colors. We got room with white walls, not very well combined furniture, faded old carpet. So we were dissapointed that hotel is promoting different level of room on the booking than reality was. We were looking for the visual aspect of the hotel. Only nice room which we have seen was hall and coffee/breakfast area.

I come here for work travel a few times a year and always try and stay at the Goliath. I love this hotel, everything is clean and top notch. The breakfast is really good and the WiFi is stable and fast.

Due to Covid-19, the breakfast was restrictive, not buffet style and poor in products.

We had two rooms on the 4th floor. One of the rooms only had a small window and therefore was darker than we would have liked.

The location, room and staff were amazing. They also helped recommend local places to eat and shop.

A perfect place to stay and for discovering Regensburg!
