Fantastic location, in walking distance to all the sights. A very good breakfast spread with my favourite Ronnefeldt green tea. The room was refurbished in a contemporary way but with respect to the old building.

What I didn’t like was the glass door to the bathroom. I want my privacy when I am in there but I was in plain sight from the room when I stood in front of the sink and washed myself. Also, the light in the bathroom switched on when you entered and stayed on for about 5 minutes after you left. Not good when you go to the toilet in the night, with the other person in the bed being woken up through the light (glass door). On a different occasion my partner was in the shower and because he was too far away from the sensor for the light, the light switched off and left him in the dark in there.

A beautiful hotel in the middle of the old town. We had a douple room with a nice view to the old Roman citywall, it was right next to our window. The room was very quiet and comfy and had a good bed. The staff at the hotel were very nice and helpfull. We had a very good breakfast every morning at the hotel and a delicous dinner one evening at the hotel restaurant, wich was crowded, so book ahead. The hotel is in very center of everything at the town, so you can easily reach everywhere walking. We arrived by train directly from Munich airport. It took 1h15m and was very affordable. From Regensburg Hbf it was only 10 minutes walk to the hotel.

As always in Germany, the pillows are not so great.

Breakfast was great, staff very friendly, excellent breakfast service. Can't beat the location, close to the river and in the old town. Room was comfortable, nice view and very clean. Just loved the feel of the hotel and room. Highly recommend it.

The inner courtyard has cobble stones, beautiful, but rough on the luggage, if you have to pull your bags from parking garage to the reception and the back to another building to the room, the hotel should offer trolley service and help with the luggage, so you don't ruin your luggage on the cobble stones.

This is an amazing hotel in a perfect location. The courtyard experience for breakfast and lunch is legendary. Parking on site was a big plus for us. The breakfast was included with our room and by far the best we had on our trip. I wish we had stayed more days at this hotel. It way exceeded our expectations. I recommend everyone visiting this town to book this hotel asap!

The parking lot entrance is difficult to find, but park on the street for a minute and talk to the staff and they will direct you.

The friendly staff made sure we enjoyed our stay at Bischofshof am Dom. Recommend both the hotel and the restaurant. Perfect location next to the Dom, and easy walking to all of the sights in the Altstadt.

Everything was okay, no problems. Finding the parking garage was a little tricky, but that was my own fault. It is important to enter the address of the garage into the Navi, not the hotel. Also, note that the entrance to the underground parking is actually from the inner Hof, so when you are driving down the little one way street looking for the garage, be on the lookout for the driveway into the Hof.

Amazing. If you want to take a trip back in time and literally feel like you’re back in history, this is the place for you. Charming picturesque and centrally located behind the cathedral whose spires I could see out my window!

The only downside is the WiFi which I’m sure because of the historical building and thick walls was spotty in the bedroom. (Good at the front desk). So if you are traveling for business and need WiFi I don’t recommend. But if you want a nice trip for pleasure or enjoyment I couldn’t rate it at higher! Highly recommended!

Nice hotel, great location

Service ends quite early which is rather uncomfortable for business travelers

The wonderful old architecture of the hotel, the archway access to the cobbled courtyard and reception. The magnificent Dom (cathedral) is right next door. Our room was in a quiet area, normal access across the courtyard. However there is a fascinating indoor route to the restaurant etc which takes you twice as long as the courtyard but is good fun as you soon lose your bearings ! Restaurant meals were really good and dining room attractive. Staff. especially reception and waiting staff coud not have been more helpful. Liked the assistant in full lederhosen, braces and traditional hat touch. Now the large walk in shower with a full glass wall facing into the room and yes , it's clear glass and not tinted. Then there is the large glass door to the bathroom facing the bedroom You can't escape ! Great entertainment. Fridge very welcome for the oysters and champagne.

Quality of breakfast was excellent but we thought the eating area was small. This is a large hotel and we were surprised that the breakfast area was so small. Minor quibble really as one day we had a taxi coming early and the kitchen had made a delectable selection of food to collect from reception. No hair drier that we could see

The location was excellent. An easy walk from the train station and everything we wanted to do was In walking distance. I made the special request for a room big enough for my 2 m / 6‘7“ husband and not so many stairs because of my bad knee. We had a room that there was no chance of him bumping his head and it was elevator accessible- perfect! Also it was very quiet in the hotel. Sometimes there was street noise but we shut the window and it tuned it out so we could continue sleeping. We definitely would like to stay there again.

The only thing we can criticize is an easy fix: there was only one very tiny waste paper basket in the bathroom. Recommend a small one by the desk as well . This would also allow recyclables to be retrieved and sorted.

Excellent location, great historical hotel, a little tricky to find their parking so get that straight before you drive there! Lovely breakfast, clean spacious bathroom. Refrigerator and A/C in the room category that we booked. You are already in the Altstadt so you won't need your car once you're there.

Room was a little tight, but that's normal in historical hotels. Some staff could be a little more welcoming.
