The apartment was immaculate and we had daily housekeeping with several bed changes and towel changes (we stayed for 7 days). Reception staff were so friendly and helpful, they arranged taxis for us a couple of times, fixed a problem with our door immediately, and gave us more nespresso pods when we asked. They also allowed a slightly later checkout time as our flight wasn’t until late. Can’t praise them enough! The apartment had everything we needed, was beautifully decorated, and the bed was unbelievably comfortable. Location wise: there is a mini-mart 1 minute down the street for essentials; a bigger Lidl is a 10 minute walk; the beach is 15-20 minute walk along the harbour to the west; and the town centre is 15-20 minutes along the harbour to the east. Everything is within walking distance and the hotel staff are happy to help with buses and taxis for anything further afield.

Communication from booking, to arrival and even assisting with an issue we had a check out the staff was spectacular. Our room was a great size for our family, it was clean, had two washrooms and they provided water and coffee. Location was central to the city’s restaurants and to the port. I would recommend renting a car to explore other parts of this big island if you have the time - Pavo assisted us with the car rental. I cannot thank the staff enough for assisting us with our early morning issue at time of check out as I misread the parking instructions! Thank you

Our room (n 100 at the ground floor) is spacious, clean, modern, well furnished according to some nice art design. The kitchen is also professionally equipped by modern items (micro wave, fridge, stovetop, nespresso machine with cartridges, and all necessary kitchen tools...) The bathroom is big, beautifully designed, and contains a walk-in shower. Both the room and bathroom are comfortable also the bed. We took our Nescafe in the terrace which is an-added value to the room. The owner and the team sent us, before our arrival, full details by email, about the parking and our room number along with access code. So, there is no need for key or card to open the room door, it opens by digital code. No worries about parking, there are lot of free spots nearby. A walking distance (20 minutes) to reach the old town as heading by car there is difficult. There is a supermarket in the neighborhood in addition to pharmacy, coffee shops and restaurants. The Owner and the team are very kind and supportive and provided us with needed tips that made our stay lovely. Definitely we will come back again.

The building and room were beautiful, clean, new, and comfortable. The staff went above and beyond — Laurentias was friendly and answered all our questions for restaurant and transportation recommendations and even helped us handle a confusing situation with a car rental company by offering to call them and translate for us. Katerina was also very friendly, and helped us store our luggage and call a taxi to get to the airport.

Everything about the hotel and staff was great, but we wished we were a little closer to downtown for better walk ability to some things. Pavo Art was a 20-25 minute walk from the closest things in the city center, which was fine, but we would have done more a little closer. Then again, Pavo Art is just a couple minutes walk from a great view of the northern coast, and the Venetian walls.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and modern with beautiful designs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. The location is about a 15 minute walk to the old town. It was an easy walk and we found the area easy to get around.

Nothing we didn’t like about the hotel. It would be good to have a washing machine on site or in the room. There was a laundry around the corner. You need 2€ coins to access. It was easy enough to use, but it is convenient to have access to a laundry on site.

I never give 10s, but this hotel deserves a 15. Where to start? Super friendly and helpful staff (Thank you George and Dimitri!), so esthetically pleasing, bright, light, modern, clean, comfortable. Tastefully decorated, art everywhere, quality bed and bath linen, quality shower products and coffee & teas. First hotel where there are enough hooks to hang our towels! Enough chairs for the number of guests. Lovely porch where we ate al fresco. Lockers to leave our luggage since we had arrived before check-in. And the combination key pad to open the rooms, so no need to hunt for the key, or share it. Too many thoughtful details to mention! If I ever go back to Crete, this is where I will stay again.

Mmmmm, let me think... Nothing I did not like! If we had had a car, parking would have been a bit difficult. As for the hotel itself, George thought of everything, and he did a masterful job. He totally raised the bar of hotel standards.

Great staff, very attentive. Huge shout out to Dimitri for advice on transport, travel etc. Room was extremely clean and trendy. The size of the room, the design was all fantastic. The coffee machine was indeed an added bonus.

It's not very close to the city centre - by foot approximately (25min). Which is fine except in the summer. Not enough trees lining the the road meant little shade. There is a shuttle bus nearby but that departs every half an hour and gets pretty packed. We actually preferred walking. The bus station is also about 35 minutes walk from the hotel.

Amazing service! The messages were personalised (thank you George), advising on check-in instructions and also well-wishes for a speedy recovery. I had surgery at a nearby hospital, and sadly had to be kept in due to complications so I didn't get to use the hotel room. My Husband did, and said Dimitris was excellent, the room was perfect and very comfortable. Check-in was very easy. Thank you Team PAVO! We will certainly book with you again should we visit Heraklion and I would not hesitate to recommend you to friends. A perfect example of excellent customer service and customer experience!

Everything was perfect!!! I had the best sleep better than my house. We have booked this room because we weren’t satisfied with the first room we had in another hotel. Pavo Hotel made our stay an exceptional experience. We found it last minute in order to be saved from the previous hotel we had and we were so so lucky that we had found. It was so good that we didn’t want to get out of the room. What can I say about the stuff, the cleaning is the beds, everything was extra ordinary. Bravo for the decoration and the facilities. Good job keep on.

charming and stylish hotel/apartment with remarkably friendly and helpful host. there is someone onsite to greet you and help you - not just a lockbox. The room was clean and stylish, the location was great and everything worked out very well. Because its s hotel, not just an apartment, they stored our luggage all day after we checked out which was superhelpful. The best of an apartment and a hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Great experience! Great location! very comfortable for 5 people.
