The location was perfect! Very central. With plenty of cafeterias around. The views were beautiful. Beautiful area. The staff was great!!! Very pleasant and helpful. The receptionist Kari that we have met first day was very friendly and helpful.

There was some problem with the shower cabin in our room. After shower, the water was around shower cabin on the floor. So, there might be some insulation problem that needs to be fixed, though the maintanance man came in to see it and tried to solve it but the problem was not fixed. The staff was very helpful though and gave us some extra bath mats to absorb the water. So, the hotel needs most probably a proper plumber to take a look at it and figure out what causes the problem.

The location was excellent - we were so close to everything we wanted to see and do. We also had fabulous views of the basilica from our room. The decor was fun, the complimentary toiletries smelled great and the bed was very comfy. Also the hotel staff were really friendly and so accommodating.

There was no coffee machine in the room - we had to go to a kitchenette in the common parts to make our morning coffee which was a big negative and made the hotel feel like more of a hostel. The room would benefit from a chest of drawers for storage and some kind of shower screen or curtain. Also some privacy net curtains at the window for when the blinds are open.

The location is the strongest selling point for this hotel, it was up there with the most convenient holiday location I’ve ever had! Staff were super friendly and room was always cleaned each day even though we left later in the morning. It was SO warm in the hotel, it was welcome after the temperature outside in December!

As we were warned about the noise when booking it wasn’t so bad and we are both deep sleepers so was manageable but worth mentioning for other guests that there is thudding type club music until around 12/1AM each day. The only thing that we marked this hotel down for was the bed, it is absolutely rock solid and we were waking with aches each morning from that and the 1 thin pillow per person.

The location was brilliant, our room was kindly upgraded overlooking the Christmas markets in front of St. Stephen's Basilica cathedral. The reception team were not there on arrival as we were a late check in, however they emailed clear easy instructions on how to get into the building and access our room key. The room was big with huge windows over looking the square and heating on so lovely and warm. The reception team had also emailed me recommendations on where to eat and there are so many amazing restaurants on your doorstep of the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

The shower head not being adjustable but that’s just being picky not the end of the world. You do hear a lot of noise from outside but this is clearly pointed out on the write ups of the property as it is central so we were aware and it didn’t stop us booking.

The location was amazing - right by the Basilica and its beautiful Christmas Market and easy access to wherever we wished to go. The Big Bus Stop No. 1 is a stone's throw away. The room was large, light and bright and very warm! It was a treat to return to after a long, cold day outdoors. The modern room in the old building works really well and it was great to have a communal area where we could access teas, coffees, water etc. There were even lots of chocolate treats on one day! The view from the room was straight onto the Basilica and overlooking the Christmas stalls in the Market. We were able to watch the magical light show pouring down the walls of the cathedral from our window. Brilliant!

Nothing. We loved everything. The reception staff are lovely and Kari was so kind, warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble to arrange or organise.

Great location and with the panoramic view room it was exactly that and had a panoramic view of the Christmas market and the light show projections. The staff were super friendly and the receptionist was so lovely which made the stay even nicer. Check in was easy as was check out and we stored our luggage there post that which helped us explore the city more before leaving. To note the bells start at 6am so if you are a light sleeper perhaps don’t book this room! We were fine with this and had expected it.

I’d prefer a full shower , the bath has a shower attachment but not one you can stand in and use as a shower alone.

Nice and clean. Good bed and bedding. I liked the writing on the wall and the choice of decor. Also the eco conscious bits in bathroom I liked. Good to have the common space with books. Unfortunately we just needed a place to sleep so our stay was very short. Friendly and very helpful young lady at the reception. She helped with making phone call to our shuttle bus driver!

We arrived late and could not get in the hotel. It was really a last minute arrangement so we were stuck without the language and possibility of contacting the hotel. Luckily there were three young ladies/angels who helped us. They were in the square coming back from a Halloween party and so so helpful even till we got entrance to the room!

Located right next to St Stephens Basilica and the Christmas markets were right at the doorstep. Beautiful views of basilica and square from our window!

No washing machine (it's supposed to be an "apartment" rather than a hotel). Our bed was not the four-poster bed in the picture on Booking.com. The temperature of the shower water is very unstable; one moment it is freezing cold, and the other moment it is scalding! The lift was really small and if overloaded with more than 3 people it will stop moving; there were 4 in my family, and we had a wee panic after the elevator didn't move and we seemed trapped! The luggage storage was not secure, it was just in the kitchenette behind the reception and anybody could walk away with our luggage.

The Magazine appartment hotel is a perfect choice for your money if you want to spend a few days in the very centre of Budapest, and you don't want to blow your travel budget. It is literally in the best position in the downtown. Everything is in walking distance, the neighborhood is lovely and romantic, lots of cafes, restaurants, bars, etc., lots to see. Nice, polite and helpful staff. Special thanks to Carolina at the reception. We had a small issue with our room door, but she acted immediately and the problem was solved within shortest time.

No complains.

Best location ever, the most central you can hope for. Beautiful view on St Stephan's Cathedral, with trees... Room very clean. Bed very comfortable. Incredibly friendly staff. Very good price for the location / quality. Cosy room, decorated with style, simple but really good taste. We were very happy about our stay.

Though, 2 things could be really improved though, so your hotel would be like the absolutely best place to stay in Budapest: - the absolutely transparent door to the bathroom AND toilets... Very awkward, honestly... Please for your next customers, think of an opaque door... It kinda kills the romance, and also requires some logistic, very uncomfy... - the cleaning starting at 8.30 (vacuum cleaner). Please start with the silent chores when cleaning the rooms between locations, like change the bed linen, wash the bathroom, etc. This really spoiled our last morning, which was the only day we had planned on a quite lazy morning, and with huuuuuge hangover. Check out is at 10, I think it's quite decent to wait that time to be noisy, honestly.
