The hotel is in neighbouring city, but you can reach central Reykjavik in 20 minutes by bus; there's bus stop next to the hotel. The room was pretty spacious, as was the bathroom. The beds were good. The breakfast was sufficient, with bread, toasts and croissants and something to put on it. The place was rather clean, and the staff was mostly helpful (we could gest extra towels and blankets, kettle etc).

The wallpaper on the wall in our room was torn, so it should be glued back. There was only one power socket by every bed, and in general they were rather sparse in the room. The curtain was not working as the string was damaged; it should be repaired. Wi-fi was not working for most of the time.

While the room was basic, it was clean and comfortable. The water in the shower was hot. Breakfast was simple-bread, ham slices, cheese, cereal, yogurt, apple, banana, and hard boil eggs one day. Of course, coffee and tea. Ask for a hot kettle for your room. We took instant coffee, tea and hot chocolate for the room. One receptionist was exceptional-always smiling and helpful.

We would have asked for a room that didn't face the parking lot for privacy and less parking lot noise. We were on level 2. The afternoon sun heated up the room also. We opened the window the entire time during our August visit.

Stayed here on first night in Iceland. We arrived really late. It was almost 2:00 a.m. when we arrived at the hotel. A staff member met us at the door and let us in, handed us keys, check in complete! The room was a good size especially for Iceland. Two single beds - fine for me and my daughter. Washroom was located in the room - bonus (again for Iceland). There is a self serve wonderful continental breakfast. The lady at the front desk the next day let us leave our luggage there so we could explore the mall next door (while waiting for our Iceland tour to start). I would stay here again for sure. I could see this hotel being nice as a "home base" if you had a rental car and wanted to explore the area around Reykjavik.

Complementary breakfast has not so many options but in good quality. I think it is pretty nice and a bonus point when you consider the price level in Iceland. The room is small but quite clean and tidy. 10 min drive time to Reykjavik center. It is also quite interesting to sit in the hotel lobby and watch the TV there broadcasting the real-time camera over an volcano eruption. The price of hotel is quite OK compared to the ones in Reykjavik center. It is a quite cost-effective choice in summer. A kind reminder, the hotels especially the good one running out really fast in Iceland summer, so you need to be quick when making travel plan.

One of the room we booked has quite bad smell of sewerage. As summer is peak tourism season in Iceland, the hotel is fully booked on those days so unfortunately we cannot get a room change. Breakfast time is quite busy. Sometimes it is running of out dishes. Many of the coffee mugs have stain and are not very clean. Maybe it is due to the kitchen facility is not adequate to deal with the high numbers of the visitors in summer, and mugs and dishes can only stay in dishwashers in a shorter time.

The hotel is convenient for the highway and was a reasonable price for Iceland. The receptionist was friendly and helpful when we arrived and check-out was quick and easy, as we had pre-paid our stay. The room was pretty typical for a Scandinavian 3* - fairly minimalist in style, but everything was there and functioned well. The room was clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. The breakfast was included in our price and was a fairly typical Scandinavian-style cold buffet (no hot food available). The hotel is on the right side of Reykjavik if you are arriving/departing the international airport in Keflavik. It's also close to the domestic airport in Reykjavik if you need it (no aircraft noise when we were there). There is a small shopping mall approx. 500m away with a few international brands (H&M, etc.).

The area around the hotel is mainly a business district on the outskirts of Reykjavik. It was a few miles from the city centre, but we knew that when we booked. The hotel does not offer dinner in the evening and there aren't many restaurants in walking distance. Quite a few take-away choices though. The blinds on the bedroom windows didn't totally block our the light, so the room wasn't totally dark, which might be a problem for some in the middle of summer. (Travellers' Tip: Drink/Driving alcohol limits are very low, so better not to drink at all when driving in Iceland - typical for most Scandinavian countries)

Good size room & bathroom. Shower is great. Great eateries within 200m walking – Chinese, fish & chips, mediterranean, Indian, pizza, Warm place. TV but mainly IS channels. You could plug in USB, laptop, etc. Nice breakfast food with staff working hard to keep guest tables ready and food resupplied. A nice fruit selection. Loved the amount of parking on site.

Wifi is poor/intermittent in our 3rd floor room - concrete building? TV with BBC channel for English speaking guest but a choice of login with Netflix/YouTube would be nice. The low hanging lamps in the breakfast dining area are a nuisance. Remove or lift up higher.

We loved this hotel! We checked in after an evening flight around 1030pm, and the hotel was able to accommodate our late check-in. The hotel is in an amazing location, easy to get to downtown Reykjavik but far enough away where you're not bothered by the hustle and bustle of the city. The breakfast was wonderful! Fresh croissants, bread to make toasts, selection of cheeses and meats, fruit, cereal, and a variety of juices. The staff was amazing in making sure that there was plenty of food and that the dining area was kept clean. The room was spacious and there was plenty of room for our suitcases. The bathroom was extremely spacious and clean! This hotel is an amazing value for the price.

The staff were very friendly and it was convenient to have a bar downstairs. The free breakfast was great. The room was very clean and the blankets were comfortable. Check in and check out was easy and they have open WiFi. The lounge/bar area are extremely cute and they offer a second lounge on the third floor.

I understood the location was not in the city center and picked it because it was a bit closer to the airport on our last night. However, I did expect there to be a bit more within walking distance around the hotel. The bar only served beer and wine, which was still great but would have been nice for more options. The beds were not just two mattresses in one frame as I expected but rather two beds pushed together that kept moving apart during the night.

The hostess on duty was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient at her job. The place is similar to an American hotel and the breakfast had a nice selection of fruit along with the traditional cheese and processed meats.

Unfortunately, I didn't realize this wasn't in the heart of the city. It's in an industrial area and near a mall. It would be a great spot to be close to the airport the night before leaving, or if you were on a business trip. But if you are vacationing, I'd opt for something right in the center of Reykjavik. We ate at Sport Grill, which was similar to a mall restaurant you might find in the States.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the room was roomy and comfortable.

The location was a bus ride outside of Reykjavik and the hotel was on top of a rather steep hill, which was tiresome at the end of a long day out and about. But friendly and enjoyable.
