This accommodation was perfect after a long day of explore all that Reykjavik has to offer. It’s located slightly outside the city which was great for us since it made departure much easier. The room was quiet, welcoming, and had a modern flare which was vastly different from our other stays. The room comes with a small kitchenette and all the utilities you could possibly need. The hotel offers free breakfast but we sadly didn’t get a chance to try it out but I’m sure it was fabulous! However, if you are an early bird and need something small and quick, check out Bread Co!

Nothing, it was great!

Really large and very comfy bed. Nice warm room – didn’t even need radiators on. Very good shower. Kitchenette very useful.

Very strange set up with the bar/coffee shop. Could have been very useful but no opening times displayed and during our whole week it was unmanned. Very weird as it was lit up and music playing but no sign of life! I tried to ring twice to ask about opening times/breakfast but got cut off each time. Fortunately it's only a 10 minutes walk to Braud! Needed more shelf space in the shower room. Nothing to put anything on. A cupboard for food storage would be more useful than the miniscule dishwasher which you wouldn’t use for 2 people anyway. Ground coffee was provided but there was no machine. Instructions for using oven would have been helpful. Virtually impossible without!

The hotel stay was excellent. It was confusing to find the hotel; the only sign said T13, not R13. The door code worked to enter the restaurant (T13). (We had to help some other guests find it, though.) It took a bit of searching to locate the kiosk to check in; while it is obvious in retrospect, it was not at the time. It's a small device, not a large kiosk. The directions on where to park were vague, and there were 'tow away' signs in front and in back of the building, which were areas where we were directed to park. There was no one present, so there was no easy way to ask questions. If someone could provide better information on parking and checkin, that would really help. The room was great.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. The room is pretty good and looks same as at pictures. Cleaning was arranged every day. Big space for parking. Tea and coffee inside the room. The location is good as well.

Unfortunately, I didnt recieve instructions for check-in via email and had PIN code in my booking which didn't work at the entrance. Inside the hotel it was not clear where to go for check in (you need to use a tablet at the bar and check-in yourself there). I think the hotel can make some sign in the hall inside the hotel with the instructions and maybe some kind of arrow where to go for check-in. I think it will help to avoid such issues.

Location is nice and quiet and breakfast was basic but very professional. Nice lounge area to hang out. I was there summer of 2023 and they were in the middle of completing a small cafe/pub/coffee shop to the lounge too!!

My room had a view over a beautiful park...but there a large public electrical box there (and that is perfectly fine)...BUT facing the view of the green park on this giant box is GRAFFITI (like drug meeting symbol type - not ''art graffiti) and it kind of takes away what would be a nice view and memory. I would suggest the owner to just go there and spray over it when it appears. (These graffitis are more often one-off instances of a single jerk doing it one time and then it just stays there forever.) Suggest he paint it over as I do not think there is plan in place in Iceland to remove graffiti...once it is there it is their culture to keep it there forever.

I liked the size of the room, I liked that it had a kitchen, l also liked that it had a TV something to entertain us during the long nights of the winter. The location is fairly close to the centre by car. The staff was friendly and helpful as well.

It didn't have a rack to put our coats and clothes so we just laid them on the seat below the TV which made our room a bit messy. But other than that our stay was good.

I absolutely would recommend R-13. The owner/manager and the staff were amazingly helpful from my check-in, to guidance on things to do and transportation. Breakfast was very good and they were just about to start serving dinner - testing out some recipes while I was there. The rooms were fine for staying to sleep and for basic food preparation. You don't stay here for a 'resort' experience, but that was part of the appeal. The music in the 'lobby' / breakfast area was nice too. The price for the amenities, again - Great staff and facilities, and the overall offering was very good.

The location was one of the only downsides. It was a bit out of town and getting around was a good amount of walking or you were paying for taxis. After I figured out some of the buses - that worked well too.

These fabulous studio rooms with full cooking facilities are a real boon in a notorious expensive if amazing country. I could make my pack lunches and go exploring all day and the return late for an evening meal. They are also generous in supplying extras like coffee, tea and even kitchen roll. I also liked the invisible presence approach. Everything has been streamlined to be no nonsense, no fuss. Self check in, automated payment. This is a great find. It is probably not for you if you want a lot of flunkies flappy around you. It is for people who like to do their own thing. I will be back.

Room was a good size, comfy bed and nice sized shower. The kitchen had the basic utensils you would need and also have an oven and a fridge. Walking distance from a few restaurants. Room was perfect for us a one night stop before heading to the airport. Good price too when compared to other places.

Not close to the centre but we had a car and wasn’t too bothered with the distance. Probley not suited if you wanted to explore Reykjavik for a few days and didn’t have a car. Not sure how easily accessible it would be to reach the centre by bus. Our tv didn’t work but to be honest we didn’t ask someone to take a look as we were only there for a short period of time.

Really happy with this hotel. We arrived earlier than check in and the man working promptly sorted a room for us to check in early. It made a huge difference as we could take a nap and head into the city later that day. The room was perfect for us 2 adults and a toddler. Big comfy bed and well stocked kitchen to cook our own meals. Shower and bathroom products were lovely. No complaints at all. We booked an extra night and were accommodated to stay in the same room. Fast communication etc. Highly recco.

Nothing everything was perfect except do have a car is the only thing as it is a little outside of city :) safe area though.
