Nice clean hotel with great facilities. We arrived before check-in time and there was a place to store luggage, a comfy room to sit down and have a free hot chocolate from the coffee machine, and also toilets on the second floor we could use before we got into our room. There's a supermarket nearby and a few places to eat. The room was very nice with everything we needed for our stay. There is no reception but a phone that can be used to call the manager, though we didn't need to use it. The hotel is about a half hour walk from the centre of Reykjavik so we hired e-scooters to get into town, though the bus was also an option. Parking outside the hotel was free and easy when we picked up our rental car.

Loved the self service concept, room was super comfortable. We spent 2 nights but could have stayed more without any problems. Location is great, in a quiet area. Free coffee, hot chocolate tea etc...

Clean, new furniture, comfy bed, good heating system. Common area in ground floor has free tea/coffee/chocolate as well as microwave, toaster. There were even some snacks that other people left in order not to waste food. The design of the common area and stairs has interesting facts about Iceland, I,ve learned a lot of new facts 😁 There’s also a laundry room fully equipped, you don’t need to buy anything

A great hotel! Extremely clean, staff is super friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel is self service, the manager is available to answer any questions and help. Coffee and hot chocolate are free in the kitchen on the ground floor. Coffee is very good (freshly ground grains). There is also a microwave, toaster and panini maker available. Washer and drier available as well as detergent. Small fridge available in room which is great! Storage for your bags as well is free of charge. Location is great only 5-10 minutes walking from the city center or 5 minutes by bus.

I have never rated a stay so highly as this one. Ole the manager and owner is a fantastic host and a lovely person to speak to. The hotel has everything you need from a self service perspective, including great free tea and coffee, a toaster, a microwave etc. It was spotlessly clean, and I love the self-serve concept. Perfectly located if you’re hiring a car, with ample parking around the hotel. The accessible room was fantastic and had loads of space for a wheelchair to get around, and the bathroom is great. We had an accessible parking space right next to the door which was great (thank you Ole for sorting this out)!

The building houses two hotels and it wasn't easy to find the entrance at first. I called and a very nice staff person helped us to find it and get our key.

Loved my ground floor room! very clean with very comfortable bed, fridge. Free laundry with free detergent. Very nice community area with tables, free coffee/tea/hot chocolate, microwave, toaster. Great location. Great staff! Teresa helped me to figure out bus routes and provided great recommendations! Thank you!

I liked everything!

The hotel was in a great location, really accessible to central Reykjavík by bus (two bus stops nearby) and local tours offer a pick-up/drop-off at the Hilton Hotel across the road (literally a 3-minute walk). On the ground floor, there is a common area with two coffee machines as well as some cutleries, a kettle, a toaster, and most importantly, a microwave. The nearest supermarket (called BONUS) is around a 20-minute walk away, we bought instant porridge and some microwave meals almost every day which saved us a lot of money. Our mini fridge was able to fit more than 2 meals plus drinks for two people. I highly recommend bringing a thermal travel bottle so you can fill up hot chocolate (from the coffee machine) in the morning and drink it throughout the day. Our room was on the top floor, not only did it have a huge bathroom but was also super clean. My favourite, apart from the common area, was that they didn't skimp on heating. I was worried that our room was going to be cold but we were able to adjust the radiator and it was like heaven walking into our room after we ended our day.

Unfortunately, there wasn't a window in our room so we weren't able to see the night sky. The nearest restaurant is around a 15-minute walk and is absolutely delicious but expensive. If you don't want microwave meals or supermarket sandwiches, then you need to go to central Reykjavik or the few restaurants nearby. They provide body wash and shampoo but I recommend buying a shampoo from the supermarket. Also, bring or buy your own tissue if you don't want to use toilet paper as your everyday non-bathroom thing.

It was really clean and comfortable. The location was great. I read a couple of reviews that it took them 40 minutes to walk to the city centre but it only took us 25 minutes, so if you’re happy to walk a bit then it’s great! All the excursion buses left from the Hilton which is less than 2 mins walk from the hotel. Really enjoyed the free hot drinks in the communal area too- bring a thermal bottle with you and fill it in the morning. “Secret Stash” in the kitchen, great idea, which is a drawer that people kindly leave food they didn’t use for example a microwave meal, which helpful in an expensive city. Easy check in and check out. Supermarket close by. Bed was comfortable and the room was really warm. No staff at the desk but very quick replies when you message them plus an informative email is sent when you book. Would definitely go back!

Not a big one but the TV didn’t work not sure what the issue was, but we messaged and they solved the issue the next day, super fast and responsive!
