We were two adults and a 12 year old staying for three nights. This place was every bit as good as we hoped with probably the best sunset position on the island and the loveliest section of beach. The room and beds were very comfortable with maybe only 10-12 chalets set in beautiful gardens arranged in a cul-de-sac facing the beach. Taking a walk along the beach-front in either direction you come across a succession of other small hotels and bars to eat and drink in and the whole island is only about a 20 min walk from end to end. As with all other places in Indonesia, the food and drink was inexpensive and good quality. Typical Indonesian dishes were between £2-3 and beer £2-3 for small and large. The included breakfast options covered both Western and Indonesian options with tea/coffee, juice and fruit and was very good. The staff were very welcoming and were keen to learn and address you by name every day. A few asked if we wanted to go on a snorkelling trip, which obviously earns them a little commission, but they were the same price as everywhere else for a private boat. It can be done cheaper if you want to go on a larger shared trip though so ask a few questions before you make up your mind but do go! Having dived in the Red Sea the snorkelling here is as good. You will undoubtedly swim with some green turtles and experience a huge amount of tropical marine life. Highly recommended. As for Island View, overall it’s a big thumbs-up from us. We really enjoyed our stay here and it was good value for money.

This place is great, the rooms are comfortable, clean and air conditioned. As a family of 4 the layout was perfect for us. So close to the beach which is super quiet and chill, this seemed to be the quiet side of the Island. Breakfast and all the meals we had were delicious and not overpriced which we found in other parts of the Island. Enjoying Breakfast overlooking the ocean was a highlight of our trip. The staff are all so lovely and helpful we booked a private snorkeling trip to see the turtles which was all arranged seamlessly and we really enjoyed it. Stop looking stay here :-)

Was fine for us, but I guess the steps to the top level bedroom could be tough for some. Dose not have a pool, but this suited us as the ocean is right there!

Breakfast was simply and acceptable. The fresh fruit was a lovely bonus. Arrived at this hotel having newly broken my ankle and the family couldn’t have helped me any more. From taxi literally from our room to anywhere you wanted to go, to bringing lovely meals from the family run restaurant to our terrace. Including the most delicious lobster. Emy and her family are what make D& D Homestay. Very convenient for the airport and the ferries over to the gili islands. Small pool was very welcome too. Would most definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Most beautiful hotel in the Island with direct access to beach. Great sunsets. Very chill and tranquil vibe. Staff at bar and restaurant is nice, the grilled shrimp at night were amazing!! Breakfast is also quite good! Spacious and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Beautiful overall.

The bathrooms could use some renovation, the painting was falling from the ceiling. Please stop using plastic straws, right in front of the beach, which gets a lot of plastic waste already! Wish more would be done to prevent this! Staff at reception was not very helpful when we asked for a room change they just didn’t even try and promised to come back on it and did not do it. A small but great detail would be to be able to wash your feet after the beach before entering the room area, maybe a feet washing station or a shower could be added.

We liked everything! We stayed in a family bungalow (#14-15), rooms were clean and spacious, minimalistic style, but we didn’t need much. Outside on a terrace we had two hammocks, excellent for chilling. Bathrooms might need some renovation, but it really didn’t bother us. This hotel has one of the best territories: trees, flowers, very green. Beach and restaurant areas are also tidy and beautiful. Just remember the tide schedule, it’s not possible to swim after 15:00 already. Staff was very helpful. We rented bicycles and went around the island. For a dinner we can highly recommend hotel BBQ, Mama’s pizza and Shark Bite.

Fantastic increadible amazing wonderfull stay and Everything is great the atmosphere the location the sea view the birds sound and the bungalow is very clean and the bed is so confortable and the stuff are extremely helpful and positive and special thanks to Maday he is so dedicated and really takes care of us and of all our needs he is giving an extreme valuable service and beyond our expectations . It is our best stay in bali and If you want to relax in front of the beach just go there . We will definately go back .

The hotel is amazing with all the bungalows in a peaceful and calm area, surrended by a beautiful garden. The staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious with fresh fruit. The have not only Lombok coffee but Nescafe as well. Fresh mineral water is put in the room every day. They give you every support they can with organising programs (we got help to visit Lombok) or also the way to the ferry port. Lunch and dinner is also served if you want to stay there all day.

Island View is in a lovely quiet part of Gili Air. The beach is wonderful, with sun loungers and cabanas at the waters edge. Our bungalow was perfect and very clean, comfy bed with good A/C and a lovely bathroom. The area is well kept and the garden is beautiful. Every meal we had at Island View was delicious. All the staff were friendly, and helpful. We would definitely recommend this property and would return.

Fabulous views of Gili Meno, fantastic food that was very tasty. The staff are fun and jovial and will do what they can to make the stay comfortable. No hard sell for boat trips etc. Bikes can be hired but a lot of the island perimeter is sandy and not great to ride on. Walked around the island in an hour. I had a really relaxing stay here. Would recommend to friends.

There was a bit of daytime noise due to bungalow renovations, but hey its out of season and they have to do it sometime.

Amazing location - the best on the island we thought. The place is relaxed and friendly, with a great restaurant and walking distance to other places for variety. The staff were wonderful too. Very comfortable places to sit and enjoy a drink, food, or simply swim and read right on the beach. Recommend!

We would have liked a fridge and kettle in the room - but the bar gave us everything we needed.
