Location was amazing ! Breakfast with beach views on the sand . Staff were amazing and friendly , cared for your every need . The food was delicious , best on the island Best cocktails on the island , Air con wasn’t great , I’d your a hot sleeper , kind of a basic room for the price , The restaurant and surroundings were defiantly a highlight . Would 100% go back

Air con Rooms need for shelfs / open storage

We had the absolute best stay at Mowie‘s during our honeymoon. Not only that it is one of the most peaceful places ever visited, right at the ocean front with sundown view… This place comes along with a perfect restaurant and kitchen chef, absolutely everything was delicious, the salads, tuna tartar etc (everything fresh and clean!) Mixing menus from breakfast to dinner throughout out the day wanna let you explore everything! Also the cocktails are out of this world. All of this is topped with outstanding service and the super kind people, a real kind team having an eye on every detail and providing you the perfect customer experience. Thank you guys!

You could literally get out of bed and into the water within 2mins. A walking distance to the most beautiful waters I've seen in my life. A great little place to stay, with few rooms/huts, a swimming pool and bar/restaurant that is open all day. I don't think you can ask for more! Their breakfast was nice, but their lunch/dinner menu is better in my opinion (definitely try their smashed burgers), as well as their cocktail options. The staff can make arrangements for you to go snorkeling, rent bicycles and get a carriage to take you to/from the port. The hut was lovely, possibly on the small side, but we only went back to shower and sleep, plus the vibes of the island and the things to do, counterbalanced that, at least for us. Would recommend, a great place to stay for friends, family or couples.

Relatively small room

Mowies is an incredible place. The location right on the beach, the beautiful beach hut rooms, the kind and friendly staff and the delicious food all make this place extremely special. During our time here we unfortunately had to leave a night early due to needing to go to a hospital appointment on mainland. Martono was so kind and helpful when it came to rearranging all of our boat tickets and sorting us out a transfer from Sanur to the hospital. Along side Martono, all the other staff in the restaurant were equally as kind and amazing It is the best hospitality I have ever received in Bali in the 3 months I have spent here. I hope we can return again soon!

Love the location right on the beach. Tables and chairs and sun beds under the trees, best way to spend some time on the island. Food was good too and reasonably priced too. The cottages are lovely. Very nicely styled in white and neutrals. Outside bathroom enclosed with mosquito net which is a great idea. The staff were all super friendly and extremely helpful. We asked for a couple of things for the room and they went out of their way to accommodate us. This will be our place to stay from now on.

There’s nothing not to like in my opinion. There were a few things that can be improved but they’re just small things. A few hooks inside and outside for things like towels and bathers would be helpful. We asked for a towel rack cause there was nothing to hand wet items on and they immediately got us one. A bench for suitcases would be great, there’s plenty of space in the cottages for it.

We spent 2 nights in this beautiful hotel and regretted staying only 2 nights 5 minutes after arriving. The location is a 5-minute walk from the little port and is perfect for walking. You are immersed in Indonesian hospitality, get a delicious welcome drink and can immediately relax from the trip. There is a very calm and nice atmosphere, it looks beautiful and it is cosily lit up at night. The hotel's restaurant which is partly covered and partly on the beach was a big plus for us. You can go there for delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food is really excellent and very reasonable in price. There are Asian dishes available but also many western dishes. We really liked this after 2 weeks of travelling through Asia and eating only Asian food. The staff are excellent, genuinely friendly and cheerful and ready to help you at any time with anything you ask. Without them, this beautiful hotel is worth nothing. Many thanks to each of them for making our stay and our memories of it so enjoyable. We can only recommend this hotel as it is a gem on the small paradise island of Gilli Air

It was my second time at Gili Air. 1st time I went basically everyday to Mowie’s restaurant to eat as the food is the best in the whole island. This time we’ve stayed at the hotel at deluxe studio suite. Even better. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were so very nice, friendly, kind, helpful and always in a good mood. The food is so very delicious and we really were taken good care the whole stay. I always take Gili Air and Mowies with me in my heart wherever I go. Thank you

Mowies is the best place to stay on the island as it is close to the main strip and port for access to the other islands and far enough away from the noise and people It is right on the beach ....small cottage style rooms which are spacious and clean The food was exceptional, and there was always service with a smile Fantastic fruit smooties and juices in a great atmosphere day and night I highly recommend this place for a short stay ....it has a cool relaxed island vibe Kick off your shoes and relax GILI Air needs to find a way to improve its waste management problem (which seems to be a problem all over indonesia), and there is fallout from rapid over tourism and development ! Mowies made our stay on the island very pleasant....it was truly a little pocket of loveliness 😍

Everything was great

The location is superb, the service was very friendly and the food (+cocktails) in the restaurant were absolutely great! The room was nice and cozy (beautiful boho interior) and bathroom was beautiful and spacious.

There should be at least one whole doby mirror in the room (only one mirror in the bathroom). Also they didn't have any place for luggage in the room (no tables etc.) and we had to keep them on the floor. As a minor detail, there's a lot of corral on the shore and therefore it could be nice if the accommodation offered/rented some shoes for swimming.

Location, great food esp breakfast savoury board and fresh juices, friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed, clean swimming pool, room cleaned every day, call to prayer was quiet and soothing even hearing that at dawn, definitely nothing to complain about.

Can't be helped because of the layout of the rooms and work area behind them, but busy staff are constantly walking back and forth past the rooms all throughout the day. It's not a peaceful environment for someone wanting more privacy and seclusion.
