Our hosts went above and beyond! Not only was the property in the most beautiful of locations with incredible views, but we also had the ability to walk around the farm and interact with the donkeys, hens, goats, horses, etc. and with loaner Wellingtons available to keep our feet/legs dry. Our hosts made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable, and daily prepared the most delicious breakfasts. When we had to leave early for the airport on our last day, she even offered and prepared and set out muffins, juice and coffee for us so we could partake early since we would miss the typical breakfast time. What a memorable experience; will definitely be back!

Beautiful view of the lake, although not as close as I anticipated! Well proportioned room with small kitchenette, high quality fixture and fittings. Homemade cake on arrival is a nice touch.

I was slightly disappointed with the range of items on the hospitality tray, at this price point I would expect a range of speciality teas and hot chocolate as well as the standard tea and coffee. I also need a pitch dark room for a good nights sleep and the feature window and skylight let in too much light. I would have liked a little more interaction from Niamh, it's always good to find out local gems from the host and she didn't seem inclined to chat.

This property was an idyllic Irish countryside dream. Nestled atop the foothills of the stunning mountains and overlooking glorious pastures and a shimmering lake, it was hard to bring ourselves to leave. The Farm Walk down to the lake was like strolling through heaven and the lovely signs with inspiring words along the way were very touching. Beautiful gardens and sweet farm animals also made this place very special. Aside from the Eutopic scenery, the house and lodgings were perfection. Everything was clean and comfortable and felt very much like home -as if everyone staying there was as welcome as family. We plan to come back in a few years with our children so they can experience the magic of Abhainn Ri as we did.

Niamh was an attentive and gracious hostess and the breakfasts, cooked to order and at the time we chose, were exceptional. The scenery was beautiful and we were welcome to walk around and enjoy the animals and paths on the Farm. Niamh gave us local tips on where to go and where to find certain things we needed in town, which set us up for a very lovely stay of 4 nights. We will remember the Farmhouse if we are back in this part of the world!

There was nothing that did not meet our expectations.

Beautiful modern farmhouse with amazing views over the Wicklow Mountains and lake. Lovely walks from the farmhouse to the lake and surrounding countryside, wellies provided if needed. Amazing room with views and private patio. Home made breads and great choice for breakfast. Friendly host and great location. The drive through the Wicklow Mountains on the Military Road was mazing and the views were awesome. Would highly recommend a visit to this area and a stay at Abhainn Ri Farmhouse, but beware the carparks to the local lakes eg Glendalough shut early, so don't plan any evening trips to the lakes or you might be disappointed.

This property really exceeded my expectations. It is a lighting in a bottle type situation because the setting is absolutely magnificent, the property and grounds are really well kept, the room was modern and clean, and then the owners are really nice and hospitable too. We had a super relaxing stay and enjoyed pattering around the farm. It was a nice touch that they let you borrow some wellies and interact with the animals. The breakfast was really nice too.

The location is a bit tricky to get to due to the very narrow one lane roads, so there are times when you may meet a car coming the opposite direction and need to figure out a way to squeeze past. However the seclusion of the property is a large part of the charm and it is not so bad once you get used to it, plus every car we met was very cooperative.

This booking is absolutely stunning. Out of all the places I’ve stayed in my 5 trips to Ireland, this view might be the very best. Breathtaking! Farm animals, a loop walk to the lake, the Wicklow Mountains…really incredible. The host was lovely and attentive, the house gorgeous, an original Irish cottage completely refurbished so elegantly.

Was miles and miles into a long stretch of winding roads deep into the country, far from attractions I had scheduled. But we managed and the house and view made it very worthwhile.

Lovely host who told us all about her organically-minded property (only one of 300 such farmlands in Ireland follow such a strict protocol), guided us to fabulous walks down to the lake, provided us with an upgrade because we were the only visitors mid-week and spoiled us with a absolutely fantastic breakfast. The property is beautiful especially for taking walks down to the lakes.

Nearby towns for dinner had very little to offer. Pub-grub and nothing more.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely host! She was super friendly and accomadating, the farmhouse is where we stayed although rooms are not very big, they are so beautiful and the view from our window was stunning. Breakfast was really lovely and honestly the atmosphere is so relaxing there, if you have kids I believe the cottages next door are where you would stay. This place is perfect for a couples trip like ours when you want to to disconnect, especially if you like animals/nature or even for families to peel kids away from screens and get out into nature. If you are looking for an authentic irish stay this is the place to try. The grounds are truly exceptional we had lots of fun and will absolutely be back.

Stunning location. Beautifully decorated old farmhouse. Our room was lovely with gorgeous views. The owner is delightful and she has literally thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. There’s a fridge and wine glasses in the room Which is great as the property is remote and too need a car.
