Kildare House Hotel

Fabulous hotel. Absolutely immaculate. Staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. There are two restaurants. We ate in The Gallops the first night, fabulous. Second night we ate in Soul burger, again it was fabulous. Definitely the best pizza in Ireland. Special mention to Rebecca who was outstanding. Rooms had everything you could need. The place was just fantastic. Glad we opted for two nights.

Lovely dinner in the Soul Burger restaurant and breakfast in the gallops again was fantastic. Service from staff is brilliant and all very friendly. Comfortable bed and good facilities in room - kettle, tv, several lights etc. Facilitated requests we had. Lovely recent upgrades in the restaurants, all looks very modern.

Parking a little bit hit and miss but not much can be done about the car park due to the location. The room cleanliness could have been better - very sticky floor in bedroom and I slightly moved a bedside table but the dust behind it and I suspect behind and under the bed was wild. The bathroom could also have been cleaner. The windows didn’t close properly (old so understandable) and general decor in rooms could do with an upgrade (some peeling wallpaper etc). But overall still a lovely stay with lovely staff!

hotel was super easy to find - really close to the town and a 10 minute walk from the train station. good for people who don’t drive. there’s 2 lovely places for food and drinks down stairs so you really don’t have to leave the hotel if you don’t want too. lidl, maxol, dealz and bus right beside the hotel we traveled to white water shopping centre and Kildare village with ease. staff were super lovely aswell really friendly:)

The place was easy to find especially for someone like me who’s been in Kildare for the first time. The staff are friendly and there’s a restaurant just adjacent to the hotel lobby which was very handy for quick meal. The food was lovely!

The room was so tight and small. I feel claustrophobic, but I suppose it was for the price we paid. If I had known, I would have booked for a little bit more spacious accommodation. Also, there were biscuit crumbs on the carpet.

Convenient location. Lovely artwork throughout the building. Very helpful man at reception.

Staff in Soulfood restaurant offered me a table by the entrance because I was a solo traveller despite a practically empty restaurant and much nicer tables. I didn't bother quibbling and just went to the other onsite restaurant, where the staff were much more welcoming. Could do with a plug by the bed.

Everything was great. Lovely room at top of the house. ( No lift if this a problem for people) very good location. Food was really good. Ate both nights in the hotel very good value wine and dine menu for 69 euro for two. Three courses and a bottle of house wine. Beautiful food. Lovely breakfast too and all staff friendly and helpful. Second time staying here and won't be out last.

Very close to Kildare Village. Only and minute or 2 drive and 5/10 minute walk to the shopping village which was the main reason for our trip to Kildare. We had dinner in the hotel which everyone agreed was excellent.

Parking was super busy on Saturday late afternoon when we arrived, but we managed to find a space after circling a few times. However we noticed parking spaces were much more readily available after the Saturday evening rush.

We were a little disappointed when we arrived outside hotel but when we went inside we were proved wrong. We were met on arrival by a very helpful, friendly member of staff. A beautiful friendly atmosphere. The room for my mother and myself was small and beautifully clean. After a very well priced delicious meal we retired and I had a relaxing bath before sinking into the glorious cloud of bed.... literally. Would definitely recommend

Location was really good, pretty close to all city attractions and also to bars, shops and restos. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

There was no lift in hotel, so if your room is on 2nd floor like mine and you have suitcase, you need to take it with you through stairs. Also WiFi connection was provided, but in my room (204, 2nd floor) I had only one bar of range, sometimes there was no WiFi at all in my room.

The staff were extremely welcoming & efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. Room very comfortable & restaurant excellent !

We kept banging our heads on reading lights because of their position. Bulbs are not working either in rm 202. Shower attachment needs tightening & bracket on bed base is loose. Small things in an otherwise comfortable room.
