Aaron vale BnB is a true bed and breakfast. You stay in a guest bedroom with private en suite within a detacted family home of Peter and Mary in a residential neighborhood near downtown Drogheda. You are about a 4min drive or 20min walk to restaurants in town center. The house is homey and comfortable. Normal middle class finishes and maybe a little cluttered in places. It really is thier home. It is welcoming, safe, and reasonably priced. They have paved the entire front yard for off street parking. Signage to find the house is good. Breakfast is very good, on par with more expensive hotels. I had full Irish and good real coffee.

This room was in a family home and the owners were lovely and willing to do anything to help. The bathroom was lovely and big and very clean. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of fresh fruit, cereals and cooked foods.

The room was quite compact but would have been ok space wise if there had only had one bed in it. The extra single bed made moving around a little difficult as it took up space. The Ed head wasn’t firmly attached to the mattress and every time you rolled over it banged by hitting the wall. We put a pillow between the bed head and this stopped the noise.

The room and bed were comfortable, and ensuite bathroom newly renovated. Good breakfast was available and some off street parking was in front of the house.

Aaron Vale B&B is based in Drogheda, which has next to nothing to offer a tourist. I didn’t feel particularly safe walking the streets in the main part of town. We chose to stay here to be close to the Bru na Boyne Newgrange Neolithic historical site we wanted to visit. It was almost impossible to get anything to eat for dinner the day we arrived (Tuesday), as most of the restaurants are closed down, or on very restricted days and times. So if using this as a tourist stop, please be aware you might need to bring a picnic or eat fish and chips for dinner.

Excellent breakfasts; particularly the choice of fruit. The cooked breakfast was also excellent. The area was very quiet and not too far from the town centre. Handy Italian restaurant at the bottom of the road..

We thought the lounge was for guests but the owner seems to have taken up residence there. We felt we were disturbing his TV watching. But, to be fair, it was Gaelic football and he was an obvious sports fan, It was unfortunate that there was a power cut in our last morning which reduced breakfast choices but that can happen to anyone.

Our host Peter was kind, helpful, and made a great breakfast with options for folks with dairy and gluten allergies, which makes a big difference to us. The space was cozy and comfortable in a quiet neighborhood. Just a 15 minute drive to the Newgrange visitor center and only 25 minutes on the motorway to the Dublin airport (traffic depending for both, of course). Overall a great stay for us!

This was a cosy B&B on the outskirts of Drogheda. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The place was very clean, the bed and pillows were comfy and we really appreciated the hot water in the shower and big fluffy towels warming on the radiator when we arrived soaked having been walking on the Boyne Valley Camino. We would recommend to friends and family.

Nothing!

the breakfast room was of two tables with seating c. 7 people , good variety of cereals, wonderful bowl of mixed fruits including blackberries that were huge & tasty, fresh yogurt variety, decent pot of strong tea, toast & hearty Homebase brown bread, butter & jams. The room was wonderfully decorated with timber framed ,in a variety of sizes on display Rugby tickets with Rugby programmes having a case to themselves on a adjoining wall.I was made welcome from the outset by both my hosts

the fact that I could not stay longer stay but I will return!

The owners made me feel very welcome and made sure that I had everything I needed during my one night stay. My room, with en-suite bathroom, was clean and comfortable, especially so seeing as I'd arrived from a poky, overpriced room down in Dublin! The full Irish breakfast was delicious and the perfect size. The owners kindly allowed me to store my luggage with them for the day once I'd checked out so that I could visit some local sights before leaving Drogheda. I Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Aaron Vale B&B. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Drogheda.

There was nothing I didn't like!

A really nice room and such a comfortable bed I slept like a log. The breakfast was fabulous. Great amount of choice. The hosts were lovely and friendly. Going the extra mile when my boyfriend was unwell and we asked to check out a little later. Also great location close to everything

There is nothing I didn't like. Just a note that this at the top of a fairly steep hill, so for people who struggle with that a taxi might be better than walking. Its absolutely fine for most people, we walked up it with backpacks and suitcases :)
