The place was very clean, the staff were very friendly.

We arrived back at 12.30am from a night out with family to find the hotel locked and unattended. We knocked loudly several times for about 10 minutes to no avail. I then telephoned the hotel and the call was answered. The night staff the opened the front door to let us in. We are really unhappy about this and it looked like the night staff was having a sneaky 40 winks. For breakfast in the morning we both requested poached eggs one with brown toast and one with normal toast. Obviously there is a language barrier as my poached eggs turned up with no toast.

Located back from the road so noise was kept to a minimum. Food in Henry's restaurant was fantastic as was the freshly cooked breakfast. A rarity now a days Bed was very comfy

Our 'Delux' Room we were in was 105, first door beside the reception. Not very deluxe, not even a large double room, though the bed was comfy and king size. Door needs fixing so it doesn't rattle everytime someone else opens their door! Also the 'monsoon' shower is more like a soft irish morning shower. Very disappointing.

The location is great, with easy access to the M1. Plenty of free parking and it feels secure. Staff were friendly, check in was efficient and they really made us feel welcome. Dinner menu wasn't extensive but the food was very good. Breakfast was great with plenty of options. The rooms are comfortable and very clean.

The water pressure on the shower was terrible and took ages to heat up to a bearable temperature. My colleague had a room with a bath and used this instead, I didn't have the option and had to spend ages trying to rinse my hair. This was the only negative of the stay. It is worth bearing in mind that the restaurant hours are limited, with last orders at 8pm. This didn't cause us too much inconvenience, however, as we were travelling for business.

Glenside Hotel is close to the M1 and a short drive to the town of Drogheda. Also a 5 min drive to Laytown which has a great beach. The staff are very friendly, hardworking and helpful. The restaurant had a good choice of food on the menu which cooked well, tasty and well presented. Our room was clean and comfortable with tea making facilities. The en-suite was also very clean with a great shower.

The reception area had a funky smell not sure if it was damp carpet. That’s what the smell reminded me of.

I arrived as the kitchen was closing but the receptionist was happy to ask the chef for food and he was happy to oblige for which i was really grateful after a long day. Staff are very friendly and appear to know each other well and work well together and there's a lovely atmosphere. While in the cosy lobby the next day i overheard wedding parties and other parties meet the ? owner making plans for events that was all handled beautifully and positively that would make me want to have a function there if i didn't live 3 hours away!

We went with very little expectations, just needing a break and have to say the hotel is a real wee gem! From the minute we walked in we were impressed... the hotel was quiet and bespoke, the décor was very tasteful throughout, the food was amazing and the service was first class! A particular mention for Rhea who greeted us at reception with a genuine smile and then later served our drinks, took our order and then served our food, all whilst still maintaining reception with a hand-held phone! She is the main 'gem' in this gem of a hotel and you're not paying her enough!! We will definitely be back.

Not really that we didn't like anything as the rooms were well appointed, tasteful, had an extremely comfy bed and absolutely spotless... just a bit smaller than what we are used to. I did try to pay for an upgrade but there was a wedding on at the same time and everything else was booked out! We will be going out of our way to book the suite the next time!

Breakfast choice was amazing. Plenty to choose from. Staff were so pleasant and always willing to help. Even had a little birthday card and yummy dessert for my little girl who was having her first birthday trip away with her sister and I. Honestly place was immaculate and so cosy. My girls had the best time and can't wait to come back.

The Internet connection was a little intermittent at times and with two kids and devices that was a bit stressful.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms. Cosy and decorated with style. Extremely helpful and nice staff. Nice beds. The restaurant had surprisingly good prices and the food was interesting and tasty. We specifically appreciated the fact that we were able to change our room on our request. Plus the rooms are way better and closer than they looked in the pictures.

There were 5 of us travelling, including a 3 year old. When we arrived, the Glenside was extremely busy, which is always a good sign. They dealt with us quickly and efficiently, and directed us to our rooms. Reception is low key, basically a phone, laptop and a desk. I reckon this leaves management with the opportunity to re lay out the area should it be required. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had all we needed. We had both our evening meal and breakfast in the hotel. Both meals were good quality and reasonably priced. The evening meal was extremely busy, with the clientele being mostly families. At breakfast they were willing to accommodate personal preferences. One particular plus point was the garden. We had a 3 year old who lives for hide and seek. The garden appears to be only accessible from the hotel itself. That makes it easier, and safer, to allow her to run around and enjoy herself. The crowd in the restaurant cleared early, so when I went for a pint later, the bar was empty.

There were no real negative points. Perhaps a few biscuits with the hospitality tray would be nice.

The hotel was very nice! and very clean. All the Staff we came in contact with were lovely. Breakfast was very good. We also had an evening meal which was very nice too. Location of the hotel is a bit out of the way and on a main road not that we heard any cars. You would definitely need a vehicle if staying in this property, I was lucky my cousin was my taxi driver. Our room was very nice. We had a garden view, nice and quiet.

We were fortunate enough to be out and about for the time we were there, but there wasn’t much else to do. Not that we found. We thought there was a garden, but couldn’t find it, but we may not of been looking hard enough.
