Very clean and comfortable rooms. A very modern and well kept hotel. Excellent value. Located within an industrial park so lots of parking and close to the centre of town.

Arrived for breakfast at 10:20 (breakfast finishes at 10.30) and all of the pastries were gone, the bread for toasting was hard and there was very little left in the hot food section. Staff started clearing away everything at 10.30 on the dot and noisily rearranging furniture. This was the only downside of our stay. Have stayed here before and was happy overall with the cleanliness and location.

Comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff, well groomed staff with clean uniforms in bar/restaurant. Plentiful parking spaces. Good overall standard of cleanliness in building. Quiet corridors and quietness in rooms so restful sleep. Good quality of food and plentiful choice of items at breakfast.

Lack of natural ventilation in rooms. Very restricted opening of windows in bedrooms, resulting in being most uncomfortable. Lack of signposting to hotel, and confusing access from main road. No food available after 9 p.m. and in addition no snacks (crisps/nuts etc.) available in bar for group while spending considerable amount for drinks.

Room was very hot and no air conditioning. Asked for a fan and the very nice receptionist brought it to the room. I know Ireland is not always hot but when it is, you need to be able to cool it down. The window would not open enough to let a good draft blow through the room. if you can not put in air conditioning in the rooms please put a large stand alone fan in every room all year around and allow the window to open more. Also TV channels could be better sound quality on some stations were bad and some Chanel’s would not work.

The breakfast items were well laid out and there was plenty of space to obtain each item of food and drinks. The staff were 'on the ball' and friendly. My room was refreshed each morning and the staff were happy to clean it at the time of my request, which was very helpful.

A suggestion: due to peripheral location to the city, the only means of getting to the centre is by car, taxi or walking (the latter of which I did daily). It would be extremely useful for the hotel to offer a bike-hire facility which undoubtedly would attract more people to use the hotel as well as setting a green example to the whole city and help to reduce the pollution in the city caused by the very slow moving traffic on all the main central city roads. Waking to the city centre takes about 25 minutes which will deter some from using the hotel as a base for viewing all the many attractions that Kilkenny has to offer.

Hotel very good spacious rooms but let down by limited bathroom size. Food very acceptable and reasonable value. Only complaint was asked or confirmation no pork in my wifes chicken dinner but there was, Changed with me for beef so no problem until waitress argued say no pork or bacon pointed out there was ham but she did not seem to realise ham was also from the pig and as such not acceptable to my wife somewhat heated argument followed although the swap with me was no problem she seemed to want to disprove our remarks.

Evening staff very friendly not so much in morning staff. Breakfast adequate if not inspiring. (no scrambled egg). Hotel out on its own in business park to no where to stroll in evenings.

The room was clean and location was good but needs a bit of an update as it didn't look like it had been redone in years. Bathroom very old. For the price we paid for the 1 night we did expect more. We did not get breakfast as thought it should have been included for the price we paid for 1 night.

The room was very large and very very comfortable; the bed was very large and comfortable, and the shower was really great.

This is just a message to management: the toast maker in the breakfast room could do with being turned sideways so that the hot metal part does not stick out into the room - it would improve safety and would take a couple of minutes to sort out. This aside, there was nothing I didn't like. I don't think that the location is easily walkable into Kilkenny - it would be an idea to check with the management if this matters to you.

Hotel is good, a little bit outside town, costing us €13 per taxi run to the centre of the city. Breakfast was good, but started removing food very promptly (before?) the breakfast deadline, so dont leave it until the last minute. Nice bathroom and room was quiet and dark. Staff pleasant. Close to some large stores if you feel like shopping on the outskirts of town.

Disappointing that the hotel did not leave a bottle of water for us in the room (coming in late from pubs in town it would have been nice) and Kilkenny hotels charge well so i would have expected bottles of water!!. We drank water from bathroom taps - hopefully this was okay, often not recommended. I would have liked a shower cap too. In November i wouldnt be sure of walking too town...reception suggested to call a taxi.

Restaurant was lovely food good and service.Well priced.Pizza served late delicious.

Location too far from town centre.No comfortable bar area.

The shower tray is very slippery and I almost slipped as did my friend after I had given them a warning. could be very dangerous for an older person. I advised the receptionist about it and she said she would pass it on. 2 of the bulbs were gone but again we advised receptionist at checkout. overall very pleasant stay. was a little cold in the room… possibly due to high energy costs. staff very accommodating.
