Like: can easily walk to from the train station; we were greeted warmly; hotel is right next to river - can see river and wildlife from breakfast room; we were on 2nd floor; room and bathroom are spacious; strong water pressure in shower; 4 pillows on the bed; the one window opens; 2 soft chairs to sit in by the window; writing desk with 🪑; 2 nightstands - each with a lamp; liquid hand soap and shampoo provided - thought put into scent; bed was very comfortable - not too soft; furniture was simple, yet also well thought out; breakfast: many choices - fresh fruit, a variety of sweet breads, berry compote, yogurt, eggs, rashers, red and white blood sausage, link sausage, mushrooms and tomatoes, a variety of juices; especially enjoyed the porridge and brown soda bread

Don't like: the view from the one window is the parking lot; we prefer rooms with more natural light; if window is open we could hear all voices/noise in the parking lot

I needed a hotel on short notice and was able to get room during tourist season. It was only for one night and on a weekend. The food was excellent. The waitstaff were excellent. The bistro dining area outside is lovely and has a great view of the castle, river, and bits of the town.

The kitchen was slow in preparing meals. My evening meal included potato chips. Someone in the kitchen thought dumping the end of the bag of chips on my plate was a good idea so I not only had to wait a long time, instead of full chips I got the little bits and pieces of the chips at the bottom of the bag as my entire side order. A minor incident which the very good server offered to remedy but goes to note that the kitchen needs to up their game.

Fabulous location. The staff were faultless, the best customer service I've had in Ireland and that's saying something. We were upgraded to a river and castle view room with bathrobes and slippers. No air-conditioning but a fan provided.Breakfast staff so efficient as the hotel was fully booked and the breakfast room was packed. Could not fault a thing. Would definitely recommend.

The windows were really dirty outside I realise they are hard to clean. Couldn't leave windows open at night as our room was above outside bar and too noisy, particularly music during a wedding reception.

Front office staff were amazing, Well experienced and trained. Hotel was very clean and interior design was gorgeous. Room was great. Lovely balcony and view. Slippers and dressing gown were lovely. Huge bed! Free bottle water! Proper coffee machine! Free newspapers. Free car parking Excellent location.

Breakfast was very disappointing. Not 4 star standard. Had to go looking for tea and coffee. Other guests aswell. Staff need training in customer service, awful. Couldn't eat the porridge. Obviously made from water and tasted like paste.

The staff are all really friendly and professional. The two front of house Jade and her colleague from Italy, I'm sorry I didn't get her name were just brilliant and patient

Only thing l can possibly fault and l knew this when we were going is theres no pool.

It was my wife's 60 Birthday, and your staff was incredibly kind and gave us a room with a balcony. I'm not sure if that was a coincidence or just the attentive nature of the staff. The view was spectacular, and the breakfast was to die for. I think we almost did because we ate so much. We found parking very easily at the front of the hotel and we didn't have to move because of the awesome location your property sits on. I give you, your STAFF and hotel 6 out of 5 stars!!!! bravo and thank you again for making my wife's birthday special. Steve and Teri Zitter

I couldn't find anything wrong with your property. Including price, location, STAFF, cleanliness and beauty of the hotel.

The hotel was in a good location opposite the castle. As we were travelling by car it was great to have a free car park on site, there were a lot of things within walking distance of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped. There was a restaurant and a bar that did bar snacks, the breakfast was very good with a choice of fruit, cereal and a cooked breakfast which you helped yourself to. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially on reception. I would definitely recommend staying here.

There was nothing to dislike.

Ideally placed for exploration of Kilkenny on foot. Good views of castle from breakfast room / restaurant. Good, free car park. Courteous, friendly, well trained, professional staff. Good food and service. Very clean room with tea and coffee provided. Well thought out shelving in bathroom. Good shower above bath. Strong handrails for safety in shower. Thick, fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Water provided in room each day was very welcome.

Ideally, I would have liked a walk in shower, but otherwise facilities were excellent.

We were amazed to have a suite when we had only booked a double !! Everything about it was lovely . Breakfast was very nice . My only quibble was that on returning to the bar for a drink after having dinner it was very quiet and lacking in atmosphere could def benefit from live music there was no free seats so we thought we would sit in the lobby and listen to the music coming from the wedding but alas no free seats there either . Only place to seat was the living room/ library area off the lobby and the children from the wedding had taken it over so it was a no from us and we left without bothering to have a drink and went back out instead .

Location in the centre with parking included was excellent. Reception was very efficient and full explanation regarding breakfast times, parking, food etc all given. Room was very comfortable and spacious although pillows a little hard (personal preference so not an issue) Bathroom clean and very good shower. Had a room overlooking the river and castle so that was lovely. Tea/Coffee facilities in the room always a bonus with a bottle of water also a nice touch. Had a lovely message from the manager handwritten to wish us a happy anniversary. Breakfast very good with plenty choice and all food was fresh. Real orange juice with bits my favourite so extra points for this. Overall a really lovely stay

Heating in the outside area which was under used in the cold as the views here are really nice.
