The staff at the front desk were wonderful. We had a hiccup with the B & B that we had booked, and booked the last 2 rooms at your hotel, and were tired and frustrated when we arrived. The front desk agent (sorry cannot remember her name) was helpful, and when we came back down to ask for fans, she went looking for them herself, and delivered them to our rooms.
food & beverage --- was okay -- order was not correct, and it was extremely hard to find fresh steamed vegetables - like broccoli, cauliflower -- when we brought to their attention.. they were great and offered a discount

A very nice room, very clean. The place was spotless. The breakfast was grand - not going to win any prizes, but had a full Irish and it was quite tasty. Staff were very friendly and extremely efficient.
My room was facing a busy road, so when heavy trucks passed, they made quite a bit of noise. The noise problem was probably made worse by the fact that one of the windows wouldn't close properly due to a broken latch (room 103), so the room was probably a bit noisier than it needed to be. With a working window latch, it would probably have been much quieter.

Room clean and comfortable, the hotel was recently renovated. The hotel staff very friendly and helpful. I had breakfast at Polly's -the coffee shop is a great asset.
Seeing builders walking about in the hotel with dirty boots and wearing their full workers attire e.g. yellow safety jackets etc. Looked they walked straight off a building site... I appreciate they are paying guests also, but perhaps they could remove some of the outer layers of building site clothes and heavy boots before going into the hotel.

I had a great stay. Great value for money. We had a wedding nearby so weren't going to be using the room for long so was ideal. There was two double beds in our room which was great as the beds are on the smaller side. The breakfast was fab. Didnt look all that much from a buffet perspective but was all you needed, a very good mixed fruit salad, fresh croissants, cereal and nice yogurt pots. The cooked breakfast was fresh and hot. The girls were kind enough to give a takeaway breakfast sandwich for the other half who didn't get up. The entrance to the bog walk was on the property which was fab in the frosty weather along with a roaring fire in the stove in the lobby.

Breakfast and dinner were all good. Staff were friendly and made our little boy very welcome. Good location to use as a base to see surrounding areas.
On a number of occasions had to send back very dirty glasses. We usually move bed close to wall to provide a barrier to prevent our son from possibly falling out, area where bed was moved from was very dusty and manky. Word of advice - some 'housekeeping' to be done in case a fire officer ever inspects under the 1981-2003 Fire Services Acts.

The room was spatios, you could open the window to get fresh air, the room was clean and i like the fact that it had disposable cups co paired to normal ones. In the lobby, there was a wood burner, and the smell was very nice.
Not that it is the hotel's fault, but the room next to us had kids, and they cried, and you could hear through the walls. Maybe take into consideration these things when giving the rooms out, leave an emplty room between if possible.

We picked Abbeyleix as it was quite central for where we wanted to travel. Spent one day in Galway/Limerick and the other around Cork before going back to Dublin. Nice hotel and quiet spacious rooms.
The shower temperature didn’t seem to change much when attempting to adjust. Definitely never able to get cold water out the shower but could from the bath tap. Beds were a little hard but not terrible.

It was my little man's communion and the staff went apbove and beyond with his meal they were so accommodating and done everything I had asked and more. They were excellent even the next morning when he asked for egg whites on toast they were so good to him as he has special needs. To make him happy made me happy so thank you all. 😊
I could hear people talking all night so I didn't sleep well but kids did and that's all that matters

Lovely buulding, right next to a beautiful trail walk. There is a 3km loop Ursulas Trail. First hotel i have ever stayed in, with my family of 4, to have 4 towels for 4 people! It's the small things that make us smile. Amazing breakfast! 👏
The bathroom could do with some renovations. Paint coming off the ceiling, big hole at the side of the bath, mould in grooves of tiles. Shower pressure is brilliant though.

Abbeyleix Manor has a fine premises; large entrance lobby with welcoming fire, a comfortable bar / restaurant and a large function room which we used for a meal following a family funeral.. It was a great venue..we took time over lunch as we remembered our loved one. Mags who worked in the restaurant was very friendly and efficient.
The beds were comfortable but one mattress cover was badly soiled. There were insects in the bath. The bar staff were young and in need of proper training.
