From the moment of arrival and checking in the staff couldn't have done more. Very professional,, courteous, My pattern and I were very impressed at the friendly banter at the same time professional. The rooms were immaculate. The toilets also immaculate. The pint of Guinness 10/10. The food was delicious. I had the beef my partner the salmon. Plenty on the plate and more if asked for more. I highly recommend to any future guests to Skibbereen to give West Cork Hotel a try. Well done guys keep up the excellent work and customer care.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like.

The breakfast is fantastic - a full Irish (and other options) is included when you pay for the breakfast add on, which is a great deal - would definitely recommend. Carpet was new in the room, it was very comfortable. The restaurant was also great, we ate and drank here and loved the wine selection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking lot was great for the rental car. There isn't much to do in the town itself, but it is a great spot to park for the evening if you're exploring west Cork.

Service was a bit slow around dinner, but it seemed that the staff we had as waitresses may have been newer.

Great quality hotel, with friendly and professional service. We stayed here while on a cycle trip in West Cork. The welcoming reception staff arranged somewhere safe for us to store the bikes. At breakfast Superstar Sheila even packed us up some treats to take with us on our onward cycle, which was very much appreciated. The room was very clean and comfortable with a lovely view over the river and heritage centre. The food at the West Cork hotel is exceptional. We enjoyed a delicious 3 course dinner in the bar, again with great service. And breakfast set us up for a day on the bikes. It was not my 1st stay and it won't be my last either. A great hotel.

This is a nice hotel right near the river and close to the main strip of shops and restaurants We stayed in the second floor in a huge room 208 overlooking the river Comfy bed and plenty of space in the bathroom We had dinner at Annie’s across the road from the recommended former church restaurant which was closed Annie’s has a lovely history and the lasagne and salad was delicious!

As in most hotels in Ireland, breakfast included cereals etc but all hot food was extra and had to be ordered There’s no hot buffet ( this may be a sign of the times with cost-cutting measurements, but it’s annoying )

Check in was very fast, girl on reception was lovely. Food in the bar was lovely as was the staff. Room was very clean and spacious.

We were a family with 2 boys and we all didn't sleep. The mattresses were extremely uncomfortable, so hard and lumpy. Also some of the older restaurant staff weren't the nicest especially to my 10 year old who we encourage to speak. He gave our room number and our name and said good morning and the staff member completely ignored him. It's only a small thing but as a parent trying to teach our children manners you would expect some bit of respect back from an adult!

Nice big room comfy beds and clean. Although a little dated it was in good maintained order. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and all the staff were super friendly and helpful. We chattered to the hotel owner who was only too please to tell us of the history and story behind the hotel and the large iron bridge that is situated outside. There's a large carpark to the rear, nice and out of the was to park our motorbikes. Definitely stay here again.

The small town is lacking the bars, as a tourist you seek out for a pint and music. Not a big problem as we drank in the hotel bar/lounge and talking to the staff about the place.

The West Cork hotel is ideally located in Skibbereen, with easy access to main routes to other towns in the area. The town itself has lots to do and see and is a wonderful base for touring the west cork area. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and no request is a problem. The room was immaculate and the beds were extremely comfortable. The Hotel restaurant serves exceptional food, with fresh local produce and the presentation is second to none. I could not recommend this hotel more highly and I very much look forward to returning there at another time.

I sat at the bridge bar for a pint before dinner and I didnt like the way the older lady serving behind the bar addressed and spoke to the waiting staff. I found her to be rude and short to the younger staff members who seemed to be quite nervous in her presents. I thought it to be unprofessional and reflected badly one her as it was quite obvious to the paying customers.

Our room was really spacious and the hotel itself was in a great location in the centre of Skibbereen. We also loved the old railway bridge attached to the hotel.

Some parts of the hotel could do with a bit of a revamp (it looked like some parts had been newly done); our washbasin, for instance, had a big crack in it. We had our evening meal at the hotel and we felt that they were understaffed. The staff there were excellent - friendly, professional and efficient - but they were rushed off their feet and several people were turned away as they couldn't manage more tables, although there were some empty.

We got an upgrade to a room with a balcony, it was a spacious, clean and comfortable room. The staff were welcoming, warm and friendly. The pork dinner was very good, the brownie with berries and cream and ice-cream was the best we have ever tasted. We had a good night sleep, the hotel is in a nice setting on the river with a lovely covered bridge and the ambience was relaxing and it is convenient to the town as well as the surrounding area. The staff at dinner and breakfast were friendly and efficient. Breakfast were very enjoyable and we were sorry to be leaving after one night! We enjoyed our stay, it exceeded our expectations and we would happily stay again.

For a three star this ticks every box, is great value for money and they are doing Skibb and West Cork proud!
