Extraordinary Country Estate in the hearth of West Cork. The rooms are big and spotless clean with comfortable beds. Great breakfast selection in a lovely setting and excellent dinner in the main restaurant. Very friendly staff, I will definitely be back again.

Beautiful setting with lovely gardens and views. Very comfortable bedrooms and delicious breakfast. The staff are excellent in all areas especially Sinead at reception. Great location on the edge of Clonakilty town.

My room didn’t have a view of the beautiful countryside but everything else was perfect.

Everything. The room was amazing, so spacious, comfortable and clean. The bathroom was amazing!! Large free standing bath with beautiful mood lighting and the ceiling with the lights that looked like stars!!!…. one of the most relaxing baths I’ve ever taken. breakfast was so tasty. The staff were all wonderful too. They remembered that we asked for extra coffee at breakfast and the next day, when they cleaned our room, they added double the amount of coffee / milk etc in our room which I thought was so lovely of them!! Highly recommend to anyone

Nothing really but just one small little thing was that we booked to eat in the Restaurant on the first night but due to low booking numbers we were told it was closed so had to order from the bar menu. It was still a lovely meal but we were a little disappointed not to be able to eat in the main restaurant. We completely understood the situation though and still had a lovely evening.

I had a very good evening meal. Would have liked more fish choices but the goats cheese starter and duck main were both very nice.

I had the eggs benedict for breakfast which was a bit disappointing and the coffee a bit tart.

Breakfast was fabulous and the cold buffet table was beautiful. The welcome chocolates and complimentary drink was a lovely touch and sets fernhill apart from its competitors

I would prefer a walk in shower as I have a shoulder injury and it was challenging using the shower

The hotel was amazing...staff excellent, breakfast super...great choice of same ,attractive presentation of food layout. Evening meal very enjoyable. Lovely touch on arrival chocs in room. Looking forward to one of their special offers

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous part of Ireland. I told the receptionist that it was my special birthday and I got a lovely box of chocolates. They also offered us a complimentary drink. Very nice.

In a word…. EVERYTHING…. On arrival every staff person was so welcoming. Fabulous location, lots to see & do nearby. Rooms were very comfortable & spotlessly clean. Dinner & breakfast were both very tasty, all clean plates going back to the kitchen. We will definitely return. BIG thanks to everyone that made our trip so memorable.
