The room was large and very comfortable. The location is great, just minutes from the centre. The staff were very friendly.
The breakfast was ok. My son had pancakes which were ok but small and not as described on the menu missing Nutella. I had the "bla" with sausage, bacon and egg. It was nice but the sausage was very oily and probably not good for my health. We paid about 175 Euro a night for the room which is very pricey for a 3 star hotel with no swimming pool.

Nice staff lovely beds.. nice restaurant
Nothing to do with hotel!! But recommend by them Car park should be clearly marked long stay a short stay areas. Very annoying trying to sort this after long drive as there no sign for long term areas only short.

The hotel was perfect for our weekend trip. The central location was perfect for access to the main shopping area and restaurants. We had a problem with our room when we arrived but it was dealt with professionally and efficiently. It was quiet and the beds were very comfortable - we slept soundly. Every staff member we met was friendly and greeted us. Nothing was a problem. The staff were all very efficient. There was a great choice of hot and cold options at breakfast. We had an early and late breakfast during our stay and had plenty to choose from at both. We would definitely return.
There was nothing that we didn’t like. The shower pressure wasn’t great but it’s the only criticism we have.

Beautifully decorated hotel, renovated, with a mix and much style, classic and contemporary, very cosy and welcome. The room was specious, warm, having very nice furniture and a kind of classic desk to work on, bright, very comfortable bed with closet, facilities to make coffee or tea, and iron along with iron-board, in the adjacent mini hall room. The rooms are insulated, quite and spotless, very clean. Moreover the whole staff is very friendly, polite and ready to help you with everything you might need. Great food and coffee, nice bar and sitting rooms next to the reception. Dooley's is located at the heart of Waterford's old city centre, facing its river. The taxi is just a call from the reception. Dublin's airport bus stop just outside of the hotel, and local bus stations 3 minutes walking. Train station at very close proximity. I would definitely recommend it.
A mini fridge in the rooms would be very convenient and essential for every traveller nowadays.

It was spotless and very comfortable plus for us as a family with someone with disabilities it was great. We had room #1, 2 beds a single and xl double bed and a wet room. Inner courtyard view, so quiet even though we were close to the lift. Blackout curtains so lovely and dark, great for anyone with sensory disabilities. Staff were great Shout out to RIO in the restaurant bar he was brilliant, he looked after us and answered all the questions my son had about the lamp on our table, he’s a credit to the hotel, definitely couldn’t fault anyone, staff practically sprinted to open doors for us (son is wheelchair user), totally had a great time.
Only issue was no automatic door opener in the lobby so meant having to open heavy doors to get in and out (although like I said staff practically sprinted to open doors for us) of the hotel but was difficult for my son to open on his own so needed help from me and I think it would be an issue for other wheelchair users if they were on their own, most would need to open both doors to get in and an automatic door opener would solve that issue/problem

My son and I stayed at this lovely hotel to do Waterford Crystal Factory Tour the next morning. We arrived at dinner time after having trained from Dublin. Staff were great and our room was fantastic, roomy, comfortable, clean just perfect in every way. We went down for dinner at the restaurant, so grateful to have one onsite because we were tired, and the food was really nice, and there was this talented singer on a keyboard singing a wide variety of songs that really added to the great atmosphere of the place. We were shown to a table the next morning for breakfast which was great, a selection of cold food and then hot food from a menu. We were going to taxi to the train station to go back up to Dublin to get a flight out, but the man on reception said there was an Express bus that left from the bus station just across the road, so we ended up using that which saved us money and it was a very pleasant trip. And we had time to have some lunch in the restaurant before it left which was more relaxing and a bonus way to wait. I would definitely stay here again! A really fantastic affordable place! Thank you Dooleys from New Zealand!

It is so central to everything. Staff is so helpful and friendly. Room beautifully well fitted out and warm. There is plenty of warm water and beds so comfortable
If there was anything, it would be the service at food times were a bit lacking, breakfast was a bit slow in the order been taken and dinner much the same. Also the food was warm, not exceptional hot. But we didn't go for breakfast until 9.30 so that could have been our fault. The music in the bar could be a bit more for such a big place. One person really doesn't cut it. All in all, the great time was had, thank you

This is a four star hotel hiding behind a three star rating. Lovely room, comfortable beds, and the best hotel bathroom we've seen in a long time. The restaurant/bar served us an excellent evening meal. The location of the hotel is perfect. Close to a reasonably priced parking lot on the quay and a less than 5 min walk to the city centre.
The floor layout, across several adjoining buildings, with lots of short stairs and an incomprehensible numbering of the rooms makes you feel that you have gone slightly mad when you look for your room the first time. After that, a piece of cake!

This is a gem of a hotel.the room was spotless and the bathroom also fabulous and modern, also spotless. Staff were polite, friendly and v helpful, The service for breakfast was the best I have seen and the breakfast food absolutely gorgeous. Again the young staff were fabulous and it was clear that all the staff were trained in the same way. I couldn't speak highly enough of the staff.
We had dinner on one evening, and while it was fine, it was a bit of a letdown in comparison to the breakfast. Now in saying that, because of the standard in the rest of the hotel was so high my expectations may have went through the roof.

The girl on reception who checked us in could not have been nicer, always a big smile on her face. I'm sorry I did not get her name. Thank you for being so kind and helpful. We were served each morning by Jack for breakfast in the bar again, very helpful and excellent at his job. Nothing was too much trouble, so thank you, Jack
I found the staff in the bar at night very rude. At one stage, our drinks were nearly thrown at us. Very unprofessional. Three and four people behind the bar when we went up to order a drink, they stood around talking among themselves, and you were left standing at the bar waiting to be served.
