well.... i couldnt wait to leave a review on this hotel as the experience i had was amazing ! when i arrived i was met with a warm welcome, check in was a breeze . my room was lovely and clean and the bed was really comfy, hot drinks available 247 in the room and downstairs , and the breakfast was cooked to perfection! all the staff were lovely , kylie the woman on reception was hand on heart one of the loveliest people i have ever met, the location was perfect , 1 minute walk to the beach and a short walk to town , this hotel is great to stay at and also great value for money .

From before we even arrived we got great customer service. The staff answered our questions in advance about the travel cot that was to be provided. We got the warmest welcome we've ever had at a hotel of this size. We were made to feel at home throughout our five night stay. Every member of staff we dealt with acted in a highly professional manner throughout. The family room we had was on the front of the hotel and had a lovely sea view and plenty of space. It was comfortable and was cleaned impeccably every day. Breakfast buffet was very good. We got parked outside the hotel easily and for free every day. The hotel was in a good location for us to see our friends living in Douglas and to go further around the island.

I can't think of anything we didn't like. Perhaps some people might struggle with the few steps up to the hotel doors from the street, or the relatively small elevator, or the lack of designated parking. But these were not issues for us.

We arrived early morning to drop our luggage off for later and was told our room was ready, an unexpected but very welcome surprise after an early start. Our room was a very good size and clean throughout, room was made up daily and tea and coffee in room restocked too. Breakfast was included with our stay and was excellent with plenty of hot and cold options, free tea and coffee was available from a machine by the bar 24/7. Staff were very friendly and always on hand to help with anything you needed. If I return to the Isle of man in future I would gladly stay here again.

Large room with sea view and big bathroom. Big comfy bed. Coffee machine in reception as well as kettle in room. Bus stop on seafront near to hotel location. Buffet style breakfast. Good meals available in evening.

Room was really hot when we walked in, but fortunately we were able to turn off radiators and open some windows to cool it down.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Ascot. Wonderful staff who were always friendly and cheerful and couldn't do enough for you and it was great to meet Norman the owner who is a very nice guy. If I need to stay in Douglas again I will be staying at the Ascot again.

We had a family room, which was effectively two linked rooms and there were two TVs. Lots of space. We had a view down to the sea and it was a good location just behind the promenade. Breakfast was good with a buffet selection combined with a cooked to order cooked breakfast. Good value for money, would recommend.

Breakfast is amazing, all you can eat great to set up for the day. Staff and owners are lovely people and couldn't do anymore for us. Home from Home.

being honest the parking on the street but is what is , clearly states on street , but when busy you can have to park a little bit away and walk to the hotel.

hotel was lovely and clean friendly staff bed was very comfortable and needs where sorted straight away couldnt of asked for a nicer place to stop very happy customers would stay again but longer next time.

nothing to dislike was just what we exspected couldnt of been better pleasure to stay.

If I’m going to be REALLY picky, the lack of a fan in the bathroom has caused a mold stain on the ceiling, but that is a really minor issue.

I didn't have breakfast. The location was excellent! The staff were amazing - very friendly and helpful.

The two flights of narrow stairs to my room! Also, this is not the hotel's fault - the floor in my room was really uneven!
