The location was fantastic - located off the central piazza where the Duomo was, bit still central that the hotel was accessible from all areas of Florence. The room was lovely and clean. The bathroom was nice and big and the rainhead shower was luxurious. Barbara was so welcoming on our arrival and provided a great amount of information regarding the hotel and local family run restaurants to dine at. Would stay again.

Prime location, wonderful (and clean) rooms, and Barbara, our host; professional, helpful, sweet, and always available! Thank you Barbara

It says it has parking. Nope! It is extra, not part of the property, and if you have big luggage... have to walk dodging cars, crazy mopeds and people. Also, the elevator is available after 4 flights stairs (= 1 floor in medieval palace)

Outstanding location, right in the heart of the city with tons to see and do and great restaurants.

There is one floor of steps to deal with before reaching the elevator, but they are wide with ramps to the side to drag luggage up. Not that bad.

The location could not be better, right in the heart of the tourist centre. The roof terrace is a little scrappy but provides superb views of the Duomo and is a great place to eat breakfast or take an evening drink. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and was cleaned every day.

It was as advertised, but the number of steps would put off an older or less fit traveller. The breakfast was a little ordinary but was not part of the deal so you could take it or leave it.

Exceptional staff, brilliant location, good additional snack and drink amenities, a rooftop area to sit with amazing views of the Duomo dome and campanile, as well as a library.

Unavoidable, but it is a bit of a hike up the stairs for at least part of the way to reception as the lift only operates from the first floor. More of an issue was that, whereas we stayed in 2 different rooms at each end of our Italian trip, 3 nights then 2 nights later, the second room had noisy plumbing from the room above. However, that room had an additional private sitting area as well as self catering facilities. But the first room, closer to reception had a bigger bathroom.

This was in a great location, very close to everything. The room was huge. We didn't have breakfast there.

While we knew we could drive into the pedestrian-only part of the city, finding the parking garage was not as easy. Also, driving in the pedestrian-only zone was not the easiest when we arrived, because we were literally driving through thousands of people. We needed a car for this portion of the trip, or we wouldn't have driven. This was not the fault of the hotel, but it was not as easy as the hotel made it sound.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the exceptional location of the hotel, which was right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of all the main attractions - just a couple of minutes from the Duomo and Piazza della Repubblica The first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful rooftop, which offered stunning views to Duomo and Palazzo Vecchio in a laidback environment. What really made my stay unforgettable, however, was the very friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed and offered great recommendations for restaurants, including for the famous Bisteca Fiorentina. The room was cozy and comfy. Also, I must say the bathroom was really really nice and relaxing. The exceptional location, beautiful rooftop, very friendly staff, great Wi-Fi and comfy room all came together to create an unforgettable experience. Thank you for making my trip to Florence so memorable!

The location is superb, right in the centre with cafes, ice cream stores and a supermarket very close by. We stayed in the Beatrice Room, the room was tidied every day and very clean. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful; from printing information regarding train times to Pisa to storing our luggage on our final day.

Even with the windows firmly closed it was very noisy, from people on the street below to others in adjoining rooms especially during the night, often until 5am. I had to buy ear plugs!

Barbara at the front desk was like a personal concierge. She was willing to do everything for us and provided us with so many recommendations and tips. We did not expect this level of service.

We had two separate rooms on the first night and then moved into one room for the five of us on the next three nights. Our room on the first night (102 or 103, I don’t remember) had only moderate air conditioning and it was a little uncomfortable but next three nights were perfect and we slept so well.

Wonderful staff, upgraded our daughter’s family room to one that was very spacious to accommodate her family of 4. Location couldn’t be better! Rooftop patio views at night -Florence is magical.

Bed was worn, needs replacing. First night the AC did not work and it was a very hot night. Hotel fixed it before the next night. We felt we should have been comped the night. A few too many stairs for our old knees, but some people - possibly other guests -helped us carry bags up.
