Perfect location, top floor with great air conditioning in the rooms, a cute little common area where guests can have breakfast together. Very comfortable beds and linens, we slept like we were at home. ☺️ Great coffee. A fridge to store your own items in the communal kitchen area. Very sweet host.

For us it was fine but for people with certain physical disability, this property wouldn’t be accessible as it is on the top floor of some pretty steep steps with no elevator. The breakfast was perhaps a bit on the processed side, with mainly plastic wrapped sugary things and jams and chocolate spread.

Gabriella and Suzanne were lovely hosts and gave us great recommendations that were all excellent. The room was very clean, had effective aircon and a fan. The terrace was great for a sunset drink and there was coffee and tea available all day. Also, the location was absolutely perfect for exploring Florence on foot and having lots nearby for eating, siteseeing and shopping!

The reception hours changed day to day, would appreciate a small sign on the desk stating what the daily hours are or something similar. Also would love something fresh like some fruit at breakfast, as options were all bread, pastry or cereal.

We enjoyed the stat at Il Barghello very much. It is right in the middle of everything in Firenze, all the sights and atrractions are just around the corner. From the roof-top terrace you have a splendid view of the Duomo and other well-known buildings nearby. We enjoyed the friendly athmosphere and felt immediately at home. Our appartment with two bedrooms and a separaty kitchen was perfect for a family of four. The staff were very helpful and explained everything we needed to know.

Guests should be aware that the B&B is not the easiest to find, as the authorities don’t allow big signs on the old walls of the building. The reception is on the third floor, and guests need to climb several steps with the luggage.

This is a fantastic little Bed and Breakfast. The stairs to go up are quite a challenge, but once you reach the main floor, it is well worth it. The room was large and clean, but simple. The breakfast was also simple, but had a good variety. The host is absolutely incredible. She loves sharing her passion for Florence and offers amazing recommendations for restaurants. Finally, the roof top terrace is a real gem, with an incredible view of Florence and the Duomo.

Picturesque and cosy, located in a traditional building in the beautiful old center. Fabulous hosts and a nice terrace on the rooftop. Good breakfast. Walking distance to most of the sightseeing points, which was very important for us. We would definitely come again.

If you need an elevator for you or your luggage you should choose another place. The 3 floors can be a challenge. There is Bargello garage to park the car in a 5 minutes walking distance, it's expensive but efficient. In July it was necessary to make a reservation online before.

The location is great. Everything is within walking distance. The staff was very attentive and gave us good advice to visit Florence. They have a terrace for the guests that it's amazing.

The matress and the pillows were very uncomfortable. The windows are not great and you can hear people walking down the street. The walls aren't great and you can hear other guest having breakfast and talking. Be prepared to walk upstairs and don't bring a heavy suitcase as the B&B is on the third floor and there is no lift.

The location was great and the staff/owner was super nice and friendly when we checked in! The property is a lovely old building right in the heart of Florence only a 5 minute walk from the Duomo and some other major attractions. The car parking was easy to find and organise, very close to the accommodation. A lovely little terrace with seating on the rooftop.

It was all quite nice, be prepared for a few flights of stairs if you stay here which could be difficult with lots of luggage.

-Suzanne (so sorry if I've got that wrong!!)-the wonderful American lady who checked us in, helped with breakfast, answered all of our questions, was so friendly and welcoming and genuinely made our trip an even more memorable experience-Thank you! - The location of the accommodation right next to the duomo (but bring your earplugs as the building, like many in Florence due to its age, is not well insulated against outside noise. This is in no way the fault of the hotel though- it is the nature of staying in an original, traditional Florence property!)

The location was perfect! Right in the middle of the centro storico of Florence. Our host Suzanne was super kind and very welcoming and she gave us some excellent recommendations for dinner and activities. The room was very clean!! We also had a very nice balcony!

The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that it was a bit noisy. We heard our “neighbours” quiet often. Other than that, it was perfect!

Felt warm and friendly, easy going. Lovely chatting to other travellers at breakfast and in small roof terrace. Really well positioned for main attractions.

The steps only because I have a damaged knee otherwise would have embraced the excercise. But we knew about them before booking and we did laugh about my lack of stamina.
