The room was spacious and comfortable. All of the staff was very professional and had our breakfast tables prepared each morning along with a lovely cappuccino. Also, the location is unbeatable - just a few minutes walk from the Duomo and main square. Nearly all the key sites were within a 10 - or 12-minute walk. We had to check in late, but the self check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. Staff met us for breakfast the next day to complete check-in.

There is no elevator in this building, so it's best for people without accessibility restrictions or extremely heavy luggage.

Location - 100 yards from Il Duomo, 200 yards from Palazzo Vecchio. the room had high ceilings, air con, furnished very well - it was a perfect room in a perfect location.

The stairs - it is on the 4th floor, no lift. 77 steps (yes i counted them...) but I'm 50 and overweight and managed them no problem. You are only up and down a couple of times each day and given the location, they are more than acceptable.

Fabulously appointed, period correct, opulent rooms. Incredibly accomodating host who would personally make us breakfast in the morning. Check in was painless, and held our luggage for us a few hours before and after check in / check out. Room is accessible through RFID swipe cards, which also open the door to the several hundred year old building from the street. An amazing place, only about 300m from the Duomo so right in the thick of it, superb location. Breakfast was amongst the freshest and tastiest I have had in Italy.

There was no elevator, and there’s about 60 large steps over 4 flights / 2 levels to get to the rooms. This can be very problematic for older travellers and as we returned to get our luggage an older couple was checking in so I helped the gentleman carry his luggage up. There’s also 2 number 5’s on the same street, you want #5 Blue, if you have reached the leather food store, you have gone too far 😂

Responsive host, only a few rooms so very personal feel. High ceilinged rooms with a luxurious feel.

Had to carry luggage up to the third floor, which was more like a fourth floor walk up since each floor is spaced far apart (using the American rather than European method of counting floors). Also, the bathroom fixtures were more fashionable than useable. both the "rain shower" and the deep bucket sink were difficult to use.

The guest house is in a great location and it is perfectly placed to get to all the sights and around a 15- 20 minute walk from the station. There are great restaurants in the same road and it isn't noisy overnight. The room was large and had everything we needed. Breakfast is one of the best I have had and is checked constantly to ensure there is enough of everything. I would definitely stay again.

No lift but I did get fit. It isn't suitable for a disabled person or someone who can't climb a lot of stairs.

Highly recommend staying here. The location is right in the heart of the city and easily within walking distance to everything. The rooms are spacious and the beds are huge. The modern bathroom was clean and tidy. The building is the highlight, a truly authentic experience of Florence. The daily breakfast is enough to set you up for your day of exploring Florence. The owners are friendly and accommodating. If you stay here open the windows to hear the delights of life in Florence. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was as expected continental, delicious and well served. The cappuccino’s were great. The hosts were excellent always smiling and helpful. They made us feel comfortable. The room was spacious and cleaned everyday. Location perfect for all the museum’s & sights.

Just the 77 stairs but it wasn’t too bad after getting used to it and keeping you fit. Noisy a little being right in the centre of the city which is to be expected.

The location was perfect! Everything you could want to see was within a 20-30 minute walk. The room was comfortable and the breakfast pastries were delicious. It was easy to check in and felt safe and secure.

While it wasn’t an issue for us, and it was clear in the description, there are a few stairs to get to your floor. Maybe don’t be like us and climb the Duomo in the evening before heading home. Not an inconvenience, just something to be aware of!

We received the warmest welcome from the host . the property was spotlessly clean and facilities excellent. We stayed in the aptly named Florence twin room. The building has been renovated to a high standard . It was great value for money considering its fantastic location in the heart of the city. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others and if I’m ever back in Florence I would definitely book here again.

Not a dislike as such as just a heads up to anyone with mobility issues. There are 70 plus steps to climb before you get into the guest house. It’s a beautiful old building so it didn’t bother me and you only have to carry your cases up once during your stay! If you can do the stairs then the climb is worth it!

Location, cleanliness, and value for money were excellent. Contact via email with the owners about where to park and finding the hotel were also excellent, especially as Florence has a Limited Traffic Zone in the centre. Staff were friendly, breakfast was lovely and the building is spectacular. There are quite a few stairs to get up to the second floor (no lift) but it’s definitely worth it. Enjoyed our stay there and would stay there again.
