The hotel is so impressive inside that it takes your breath away. The service was second to none. Every day before we arrived, we were contacted to see if there was anything we needed and the responce time was very quick. At the hotel everyone as smiling and they made sure we were ok and if there was anything we needed to make to stay perfect. The Hotel manager came over a few times to say hello and see if we were having an excellent experience. We asked for a few services, like massages in our room and barber services and this was offered in the hotel or at the place of the service provider. There are not many hotels i would go back to but this hotel i would. The food was amazing at breakfast and the evening meal we had was michelin standard, as the chef had a Michelin Star at the previous hotel he worked at. Top rating for this hotel and staff. Thanks for Ciara on the front desk who looked after us from start to finish and the other staff who made our stay exceptional.

As the hotel had just opened some of the facilities were not available, like the pool and the spa facilities. These would have been available if we had arrived after the 15th June 2022. I did search for hotel with a pool and this was the biggest disappointment for us. But they did upgrade us to a duplex suite which was amazing. So, i hope when we next go they will look after us and again and we can benefit from all the facilities.

This hotel is absolutely stunning and meets well beyond expectations easily. The staff are all well trained, very pleasant and helpful, every person no matter their area of responsibility. Our room was perfect, not large but intimate and extremely comfortable. We had an extraordinary view from the terrace and spent a great deal of time there. The spa was outstanding and the policy of only allowing a few guests at a time means it can be enjoyed in comfort and peace. I applaud them for doing this. The breakfast is very good as are other meals at the restaurant in the lobby. There are many exquisite spaces to spend a quiet time reading or contemplating what has brought you to such a beautiful haven.

The gym could be better organised and equipped.

This is a beautiful historical villa turned hotel in the heart of Florence, like 3mins walking distance from the Duomo and not more than 15mins walking distance from all the major tourist places. So first of, location can't be beat! Second, this is a stunning property - the main breakfast/lunch area has such a sophisticated and festive vibe! The rooms are beautifully decorated, well appointed and spacious! The staff is very nice, warm & welcoming - super thanks to Emiliano (hope I get the spelling right!) and Chiara! My only regret is that I couldn't spend more time at the hotel due to our packed itinerary. A truly beautiful place and so well restored - we're so grateful to have visited and stayed at Palazzo Portinari! Overall, 10/10! Already planning to come back!

It’s a wonderfully grand hotel but with a lovely friendly atmosphere. The staff are incredibly helpful and caring. we were even given an upgrade as it was our anniversary. Nicola helped us with restaurant choices and rooftop bars. The breakfast was delicious and the dining room just how you’d imagine a beautiful Florence room to be. The Manager Angelo Rizzi was often in the reception finding out from guests how things were going. And the spa was amazing! we loved our trip and can’t wait to return. It’s moments from the Cathedral too. we walked everywhere!

One of the most beautiful, comfortable, and elegant places ever stayed in all my travels. Superb experience with a warm and welcoming staff who took care of us in every way. It's worth it, especially with the views, the spacious rooms, location, and of course in a city such as Florence.

The staff was very accommodating.

They couldn’t find us a professional dry cleaning & washing service. We found the hotels laundry service very expensive. So we researched and found a laundry ourselves who washed & dried our clothes.

This is the place you want to stay in if you are going to Florence. I booked a suite and everything was perfect. The room, the food, the service, the location. The staff were nice and helpful. I would definitely come back.

They managed to book restaurants and winery visits that were very difficult to get! thank you so much to all the time that work at Palazzo Portinari Salvati! you are doing a very impressive work! we hope to come back soon!

Everything was just AMAZING! Staying in such an incredibly beautiful historical building that has been restored in a stunning way, it is an once-in-a-lifetime experience. The staff is very polite, helpful and friendly. Probably the best hotel in Florence!

You can not find a better hotel in Florence. Location, history, decor, quality of rooms, food, drinks, breakfast, spa. Everything is world class standard.
