The place is very clean and the staff incredibly friendly. Great location for the tram service direct to historical centre.

I was there for five days and only once did it take a few minutes to gain entry to the 24/7 reception. The other guests were at times noisy but that isn't the hotel's fault. I asked for directions from the hotel to get their from airport and they advised taxi. The call driver wanted €80 which I rejected. The tram cost €2 and took less than 30 minutes. Tram instructions: T2 Airport, to Unita, get off at Alamanni Station. Cross road to T1 Tram to Careggi Ospedale, get off at Poggetto... walk five minutes to hotel. Note the return journey from the hotel the tram starts on the next street beyond the tram stop to the hotel (follow the signs).

We had to stay there because of health issues with my husband - they were very kind and wonderful to us during a very stressful time. I would highly recommend staying here - not fancy but very accommodating and good location with delicious breakfast and great restaurant right next door.

Nothing- they were very friendly staff and responsive to all concerns and helpful to us when my husband was in the hospital. Can't say enough good things about how good they were to us.

It was a nice accomodation, great value for the price. Everyone was nice, spoke English and was very helpful. It has easy access to the old town with a short ride with the tram. All in all it was a nice stay and I would totally book it again (but two rooms instead of one).

It was our fault, as we booked one room for three adults and a small kid (the crib was for free!). The room was in my opinion too small for that, but if there were just 2 people in that room, it would be a perfect sized room.

Very hospitable host, helped me to move in after 11 pm and gave a detailed instruction on the operation of the nearest transport and bus schedule. Offered a bottle of cold water for free cause it was very hot outside. The room was clean and comfy, very convenient for a couple of nights of stay. When I was moving out in the middle of the night, the host offered me help with getting to the station and gave a very kind-hearted goodbye. Spasibo!

It had a 24 hour reception, kind and helpful staff. Super clean and comfy beds. Cheap snacks in reception. And great coffee.

It was a bit far away from the center, a 20 minute tram ride and about 6 minute walk on both sides. The main light was industrial white. We could never turn it on without our eyes cringing, because the lighting was so cold and bright. We used the reading lamp instead. The room was just tight enough to be slightly uncomfortable.

We had great stay at Careggi hotel. The staff is amazing and kind, from receptionists, hotel owner and lady at the breakfast. We would especially like to thank Musa Abdel for kind welcome and hospitality and lots of useful information and advices for amazing visit in Florence! Warm recommendations, we will return for sure! 👏🏼

Everything was great

Location of the hotel near by the center (T1, direct connection 7 stops), very good beeakfast (6 EUR) - good choice and high quality, very clean room, free parking place and free stay for our dog and of course, the best of this hotel is staff - very friendly, especially one guy from Eritrea (Africa). He helped really a lot and cared about our comfort. Thanks a lot!

Some firniture is very old

Far enough from the tourist trap, but close enough to get there. There’s a train stop right down the street that takes you to the center of Florence in about 5 minutes. The staff is great and the rooms are good. There is laundry places around the corner if you need to wash and there’s coffee and pastry shops around. I would say good location and easy transit situation.

Clean and comfortable room in simple traditional hotel, breakfast available every morning (extra), easy to get to/from tram stop to go into the city centre (10 min walk, 10 min by T1), one good Italian restaurant next door, nice staff.

Nothing in the neighbourhood for tourists

The staff was freandly and helpful; provided information about transportation services and answered questions about tourism attractions in the area; the hotel is clean and has good location walking distance to Santa Maria Novella Train Station and historic district.

Beds are not the best, and it will also be good to have a coffee maker in the room..
