This family hotel is next to a small park. The room was spacious with tiles on the floor. 8-10 min to the Firenze Train Station. There is a small refrigerator and A/C in the room.

Unfortunatelly the breakfast quality was poor for a continental buffet (ok if you like supermarket 1st price or if you have a croissant and coffee for breakfast), limited choice of fruits / veggies, but the good thing was that you could stay at a table outside in the inner court.

Beautiful classical building and rooms with great atmosphere. Perfect location directly next to the city centre. Everything you want to see in Florence within walking distance and still a pretty calm street, so away from the crowds at night. Very kind and helpful staff who truly understand how to treat their guests. Nice garden with a decent breakfast. Highly recommended and as we’ve visited many hotels this is simply very good value for the price.

Parking entrance is a bit small, but like in any other older larger city this is simply a given fact of which the hotel can’t do anything about.

Owners and staff were amazing, so kind, friendly & went out of their way for us. We were on level 2 and in a super clean palatial room. Recommendations for drinks and dinner by the owners were bang on, all avoiding the tourist traps. Lift to get up levels was a bonus! Was walkable to all main attractions and arriving by train, we walked from the station to the hotel with our suitcases (approx 10mins). Lots of people walking with suitcases in the street from the train too, so not out of place at all. Loved our stay :)

The hotel is in a very good location away from the large crowds, just a 10-12 min walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella, and within walking distance from the main tourist attractions. Our bedroom was quite spacious, the window faced the large plaza across the hotel and we could see the golden ball atop the Duomo so I guess we were lucky. Overall our experience was pretty positive but we only spend 1 night so we didn't spend a great deal of time at the hotel. After check out we were able to leave our luggage at the hotel and do some more sightseeing for a few hours.

Our bedroom was right next to the elevator so we could hear a little bit of noise from people coming or leaving, although this was pretty minimal.

Hotel Donatello is a beautifully designed hotel with comfortable and spacious bedrooms that also have perfectly functioning air conditioning. The breakfast was good with a range of food and drinks being provided. The staff were all extremely friendly, especially receptionist Paolo who was enthusiastic and helpful when giving recommendations for activities and restaurants. The location is fairly central and close to the train station.

Overall, the hotel met my standards, however the bedrooms could benefit from some renovations.

Great hotel once I found it. Address took me to the vicinity but had to figure out where it was. It’s close to the train station but with the narrow pedestrian filled sidewalks, it made it feel like is was 30 minutes away. Great breakfast and was given an upgrade to a room that I appreciated because who doesn’t like extra space!

The park across the street was noisy until around 11pm during the week. Couldn’t relax after a long day of sightseeing due to the kids outside enjoying themselves.

The location was perfect! Just 10 minute walk into city centre and rooms were clean, and helpful concierge. I appreciated the 24h concierge and good breakfast. I want to say a special thank you to Adrian who really helped me when I lost my cardholder and was very kind and went out of his way to take care of the issue. You were so helpful, I really appreciate it!!!

Rooms didn't quite look like the pictures but beds were great size for solo traveller and comfortable.

The hotel is quite quaint with nice features. The bed was big, very firm and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful at night.

The only sockets in the room were for 3 pin plugs. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room so you have to go downstairs to the bar. The man on reception was a bit gruff, but he let me check in early so I didn't mind too much! He told me that I could only pay the city tax by cash, yet I heard another receptionist allow other guests pay by card later so I don't know what that was about.

Quiet spacious room. Has a lift. Friendly staff. Restaurants are nearby, although hotel is away from crowded neighborhoods. Leaving the key with the desk means not having to search for it or forget it. Not very far from main train station.

Neighborhood doesn't show up on maps of "city center". A bit of a walk from the Duomo, Uffizi, and Academia.

The size of the room was good, and a decent option for breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Location was good for walking to the sights, although not located in the middle of it; it was about a 15-20 minute walk. Park with playground across the road.

It was a little further than anticipated from the train station. Bed was a little firmer than we prefer.
