I liked that the team (staff) at Monna Lisa worked well together. They all have wonderful personalities and were professional in every way. Lorenzo who served me at breakfast was such a delight . He was so accommodating and kind and very professional. The breakfast was by far one of the best I have experienced . truly wonderful . The bartender was a joy to hangout with as well, funny and very welcoming. I appreciated that there was a bar at Monna Lisa and so many nice areas to hang and enjoy a spritz or a coffee. I look forward to the finishing of the remodeling so Monna Lisa can shine to its Florentine beauty.

I didn’t like the construction going on, and that the original palazzo is under remodel. I really wanted to stay in the original palazzo .

The location and the ambiance are particularly good. The breakfast is excellent with a very good variety of fruit and meats etc. The breakfast room staff were particularly good. In 30 degree plus heat the garden was a great place to relax after a day’s sightseeing and is an outstanding feature of the hotel. The barman was very good and always had a joke when he brought our drinks. We had asked for a room facing the garden and were accommodated with a large ground floor room in one of the annexes.

The bathroom again was large and had been to a degree updated but was somewhat quirky. The toilet was very high, more like those found in disabled toilets and the flush mechanism appeared to be old and very noisy. The bathroom door didn’t close properly and was extremely noisy to close and more so to open. The shower was over the bath and as an elderly person I didn’t feel totally safe but had no mishaps. All these minor gripes did not detract from the overall excellent quality and value of our stay.

Beautiful property. Brilliant breakfast with big range of choices (healthy, GF, more indulgent). Friendly staff. Fab location within quick walking distance of all the main attractions in the city.

Got far too hot at night and we couldn’t make our room cooler. DONT open the windows to remedy this - we got attacked by mosquitoes. The rooms are a little dated but we didn’t mind.

old style hotel, the Florence ambiance was wonderful in the hotel. The service was excellent, the breakfast first class.

Loved the building and gardens. The room was small but comfortable. Staff were helpful and nice to deal with. It is in a fantastic location to walk to all the attractions.

No tea or coffee facilities in the room or available for self service. Ordering from the bar was inconvenient and drinks very expensive compared to what we paid on the street. The gardens were lovely but the policy of no outside food in the garden or at the sitting areas made it uncomfortable for us. Aperol Spritz in the street with the same service & quality was €5-8 but in our hotel €15. As we were staying 4 nights and didnt want to eat out all the time we would have loved to have maybe some pizza from takeaway and ordered drinks from the hotel and eaten in the garden.

The garden is the highlight. It has lots of seating areas and is the perfect place to chill after the streets of Florence. My room was nice with a tiny balcony. I liked the location as it's an easy walk to the centre but away from the crazy crowds (I stayed a few nights in an airbnb near Ponte Vecchio and the crowds were suffocating). There's an excellent gelato shop at the end of the street in Piazza Gaetano Salvemini - delicious gelato and prices are reasonable compared to what you pay in the centre.

They have a "happy hour" at the bar where they offer a spread of snacks but there's no discount on the drinks. Nevertheless it was very pleasant to have a drink and chat to other guests.

Great location - walking distance to all the museums and cathedrals as well as the Ponte Veccio Bridge but off on a quiet alley. Felt safe as a solo traveler. Good showers and A/C. Wonderful breakfast with fresh fruit delicious pastries and eggs if you wanted them. Go to museums early in the am as they get very crowded after 11:00 am.

Initially was given a room on the ground floor which was very dark. Asked for a room change to the first floor which was much better with natural light and view of the garden. Ask for 1st or second floor room if able.

The room size and quality exceeded expectations; the courtyard garden was peaceful, and the breakfast buffet was exceptional. The hotel staff was friendly, warm, and amazing. We couldn't have been more pleased with the hotel, the room, the location. Just minutes to the Ufizzi, Galleria, Duomo, and restaurants, cafes, and the Firenze equivalent of bodegas to stock up on water, etc. But the hotel made it all happen. Being happy in your hotel makes all things possible.

Excellent value! I booked last minute and so my choices as a reasonable price point were almost nil. My family stayed at a much more expensive hotel five min walk more central and the Hotel Mona Lisa was far superior. Lovely grounds, staff excellent and available, buffet breakfast allowed sampling of difft local foods - just an excellent value all around. The pricier hotel my family was at didn’t compare the lovely experience at the reasonably priced Mona Lisa. A great value.

Gorgeous hotel with lots of character. Room was large with high ceiling. Bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Stunning gardens for breakfast and drinks. Our breakfast at Hotel Monna Lisa was the best of all hotels we stayed in Tuscany. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great within walking distance of all the main attractions in central Florence. Be aware that due to the central location you will not be able to park close to the hotel but you can get here easily by taxi.

Bathroom was a little on the small side. The shower was over bath, with shower curtain.
