The staff here are so friendly and accommodating you feel like family. The room was big...the bed was super comfortable...the breakfast was served in the most delightful room with a view of Piazza della Signoria. There was a self serve bar available 24/7 and plenty of free cold water bottles to take on your travels around Firenze. My room had a sunken whirlpool bathtub....amazing! And I won't forget to mention the fabulous location in the piazza.

In order to maximize the air conditioning efficiency, it was necessary to keep the bedroom door closed. This made the bathroom as hot as a sauna, which was unfortunate, particularly given the heatwave. I did not mind climbing the stairs, but it may be a problem for other travelers, as it is an old building.

Perfectly located on the square near the Uffizzi Gallery and Duomo — we could even see the top of the Duomo from our amazing room at the top of this uniquely vertical hotel! Really enjoyed the lovely, large and formal breakfast table where all the guests gathered each morning for eggs, bacon, pastries and fancy coffee drinks served by welcoming and efficient waiters, combined with lively conversations about where the other guests were from. where the we’re traveling to and an exchange of “must see” recommendations! An unexpected and wonderful benefit was their beautiful and well-stocked bar and lounge where guests could serve themselves whatever their hearts desired🍷! But the best part of this hotel is the proprietor Umberto, bubbling over with enthusiasm for the unique history of the property and how he and his family have developed it over the last 20 years! He’s so welcoming, warm and helpful - what a prince of a man!!

The bed was very firm - a thick mattress pad would be ideal.

The location is perfect for visitig the Uffizzi and other sites as well as cafes, restaurants, and shopping. The staff are friendly and kind. I have a bad knee which made getting in and out of the sunken tub difficult and they moved to a bigger room with a walk-in shower. They also provided breakfast early to accomodate my gallery booking. The rooms are spacious and the breakfast was delicious with eggs cooked to order, and homemade cake.

Nothing really. Just be aware that there are some stairs to climb to reach the elevator.

Excellent and safe (due to visible police presence) location in the corner of the Piazza della Signoria, next door to the Gucci museum, within easy walk of all the major attractions and about 15min walk to the "Unita" T2 tram stop that goes straight to the airport. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent breakfast, served around a large family-style dining table. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. There are multiple historical and excellent restaurants within a short walk from the hotel, as well as the main shopping area just around the corner. The hotel has a tiny elevator, but we chose to climb the stairs daily to work off all that fabulous Italian food.

Unfortunately, with the prime location comes the increased street noise and the proximity to churches - with ringing church-bells early in the morning, even on weekends. We kept the window cracked open for fresh air, so the noise was more noticeable. The pillows could have been a bit softer, but it's a matter of preference.

Residenza D'Epoca In Piazza exceeded all my expectations. The staff are extremely friendly and cannot do enough for you. The room was stunning with little added details that made the stay for me. Breakfast was superb, nothing was too much trouble, and in all aspects throughout the whole stay all members of staff was so attentive and helpful. I was made to feel very special. The location was ideal and the accommodation lived up to its location and more.

This was a lovely surprise. Staying in accomodation from the 13th century was pretty special. We felt like we were in a relatives home, the way we were able to help ourselves to the bar etc. Breakfast is served at one large dining table where we were served fresh fruit, cooked eggs of your choice and an assortment of pastries and cakes. My favourite part was the freshly squeezed orange juice. Location was fabulous.

It was wonderful to stay right in the centre of Florence. Everyhting was on our doorstep. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Restaurant recommended on our first night less so. We would defnitely stay here again. To be so close to everything but also not to be overwhelmed by the noise was wonderful.

We were recommended a restaurant over the river on our first night which was not good.

Very good location at the main Piazza however it is situated in a quiet corner. The hotel is very well taken care with good touches in every details. The family owners take care of the operation by themselves - and that makes a difference! The bedroom and bathroom are beautiful, good size and clean (quite big compared to Italian room size!) I love the breakfast. There are plenty of food arranged nicely, freshly squeezed orange juice, eggs prepared as our request. Breakfast table is on the upper floor overlooking the Piazza. I want to return if I will visit Florence again. Highly recommended ♡

The property has been renovated in an elegant, traditional style. It is very central - you could not be more central - and the perfect location for visiting the sites and seeing the city. The rooms (I ended up staying in three different rooms during my stay!) are very spacious. Delicious tea and good toiletries provided. The staff went out of their way to assist me with restaurant bookings and moving me to different rooms (the first time because I wanted a bath, the second because the room was too warm/loud). The breakfast was nice - a highlight was the freshly squeezed blood red orange juice - and I liked the feel of serving it to all guests on one big table. Candles lit for breakfast - all very elegant.

The second room I stayed in was problematic. It was very warm and there was no way to turn down the heating. As I understand it, the air con for the property was not on for the season. The sound from the single pane French doors onto the street was very loud at night - there is an industrial bin below the room used for the Gucci bar and people were throwing bottles into it and waking me up all night. This was only a problem with one of the three rooms I stayed in however. The other two were the perfect temperature and no sounds from the street. Also the staff moved me to another room as soon as I mentioned it.

It was a great time to stay here, the room is clean, cozy, impressive decoration and very beautiful with the old painting on the wall, comfort bed that we can slept very well. Breakfast is not much, but perfect. The reception and staffs are very friendly and helpful. The location is in the area of Palazzo Vecchio and very close to Duomo. If we have time to visit again Florence, this place will be our choice
