Absolutely everything. The family, the room, breakfasts, the localization, the evening piano concerts. Breakfast are fresk and you may order whatever you want. The family is serving The breakfasts. Lenno is a very good place to stay because it's silent place with nice path greenwalk del lago, an historical centre, with the most beautiful place on Como Lake - Villa Balbianello and its garden. The best is that the localization is in the Middle Como Lake where boats can carry you to Menaggio, Bellagio and Varenna. Also Como is is a nice city. The shuttle boats can carry you to Domaso or Colico - very silent place with beautiful view on Alp. We spend here one weekend with our dog. The room was big enough for the two of us and a cocker spaniel 😊

The atmosphere was great at Il Grifo, we only stayed one night but would’ve gladly spent more if we had the time. The room was a good size for our needs, really warm when we got there, which I liked, especially since we were walking around in the rain since the morning. In the morning we had breakfast served which was more than enough for the two of us and quite varied. We would absolutely come back if we’ll be in the area in the future.

Beautiful location. very clean and tidy. The place is family ran and it was felt, very warm hospitality! We went in low low season and I think we were the only guests and they treated us very nicely. Plus thier restaurant is super tasty, we had a great dinner in the evening, and a super breakfast:)

Everything was great! the only thing to improve was the comfort of the beds. (it wasn't very bad but it can improve)

it is a family run hotel more than one hundred years. the hostel is an ancient well kept building. the room is spacious fully equipped although we did not use the kitchen. very very clean. very romantic restaurant. very nice team although some have difficulty with English. breakfast is simple but very good (Italian style: good bread, espresso/ cappuccino and Dolci among other things). the location is good. it is in Lenno village with lake view. very quite and romantic. Lenno has very narrow alleys kept as it was hundred of years ago. a must. i would chose the hotel again.

Great family owned hotel reachable from Lenno dock using either bus (Ossuccio Isola stop) or walking along the Greenway of Como. Nice restaurant in house for the evening you just want to spend in, serving a really enjoyable tirimasu which will have you come back for seconds. Breakfast served at the table will make you feel special :) Beds are solid 10/10, and one bedside table has a USB-charger outlet. Plenty of towels and shower products. They have a wide assortment of tourist information available in different languages on the second floor, which is great since the tourist office by Lenno dock wasn't really open during our stay. Room had a real quite AC.

Sadly, Google suggests a route without sidewalk parts of the way here from the Lenno dock. It can make it feel intimidating to get here, but keep an eye out for Greenway of Como signs! There is a tourist tax, which is not included in the booking price, note that this is pretty common in Italy and nothing unique for il Grifo. While roomservice overall was very nice, our toilet paper was not replenished, resulting in us running out on our last day. I had the bad timing to not find someone to ask, since I am sure it would've been provided when requested, probably just forgotten, not intentionally held back!

We had a spacious and clean room for me and my daughters. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The WiFi was good and reliable. The included breakfast was very generous, with pancakes, eggs, baked goods, yogurt and a lot more.

The parking situation around lake Como is tricky. Although across the street under the bridge we could park our vehicle.

Great location. Beautiful building and interior. The room was gorgeous and very spacious! Had lovely cold air conditioning as it was very hot. Huge bathroom. Comfortable beds. Stunning food at the restaurant the best food we had in Italy! Lovely breakfast included. Very friendly staff. Has a Laundromat 5 min walk away which was handy. Very clean and beautifully styled hotel. I highly recommend.

Nothing it was a wonderful experience!

The owner Alice and all other staff were very welcoming and helpful. The food in the restaurant was brilliant and came in handy for us. The piano in the lounge was an added bonus for us since I play. The walk to see Lake Como was less than 5 minutes which was great. Very clean property, lovely bar and lovely place to have breakfast outside. No issues with parking your car for free.

We had food at the restaurant twice and was looking forward to having the salmon but on both occasions they had run out. Also would be great if eggs are added to the breakfast menu. Eggs were available but was not included in the cost of the room. The boat stop "CAMPO" has only 2 boats coming in per day. A few more stops would give the flexibility and added value.

Plenty of things to do around this area. Not crowded, and peaceful place. And It served wonderful breakfast to start the day. Room was perfect, maybe not facing lovely lake, but can see mountains from the window. For me just fantastic. And staffs all helpful, and lovely.

Nice hotel well located for everything around Como and Leno. Staff was kind and courteous and made us feel welcome. On site restaurant was great and it was nice to have the coffee bar in the receiving area, as well as a full bar. We were busy with family wedding events and were unable to enjoy their lovely breakfast.
