Hotel Marconi has a great location, just off Ponte di Rialto. Our room was located in the back of the hotel on the ground floor and was very quiet. It is a traditional hotel with traditional Venetian decor, a tad faded with a lot of charm. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. Our bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom very clean. We found it to be at a good price point in comparison to other hotels for a busy Easter weekend.

Warning! No elevator. Difficulties for elderly and disabled! Breakfast varied, but cold cuts sometimes seems to be not very fresh.

It’s a quirky wee hotel that sits right at the Rialto bridge. Something to note is that it has its own table and chairs at the edge of the Grand Canal and as the hotel has no bar, you can sit with your own bottle of wine or beer you can purchase from outlets nearby so avoiding over hyped prices at the restaurants, sit at your leisure and watch the gondoliers ply their trade.

Water pressure in the shower is a bit low but it’s not a deal breaker.

The property is located on the romantic Grand Canal, just below the Rialto bridge. Charming gondola rides can be accessed just in front of the hotel. They are excellent restaurants along the edge of the canal to the right, and the left of the front door of the Marconi. The staff is excellent, especially those who work at the front desk. From a local Venetian, two employees who have been caring for guests since the 1980s… hats, off to Frederick, who facilitated our arrival at the hotel via private water taxi.

When I questioned why there was no lift on the property, the explanation made me thankful lifts have not been installed. The property was built in the 1500s. The splendor can be seen throughout the Marconi, from the specially applied wall treatments to the venetian glass. Well worth not destroying the building updated with a lift

The location was amazing! Steps away from the Rialto Bridge and so lots of activity, restaurant choices, etc. The helped us arrange for a water taxi to meet us upon our arrival at the train station and then on our departure transport us to the airport, etc. The air conditioning was fabulous! We stayed at numerous properties around Europe on this trip and they all said they had air conditioning, but most of them struggled to really cool down the room. The Hotel Marconi's air conditioning worked very well and easily achieved the coolness we desired. Their breakfast was also amazing!

Great location, right by the Rialto bridge and has a few gorgeous restaurants right on the water. Gondola rides also leave from there and there is an entire shopping street/market within walkable distance. Water taxi stop is across the bridge on the other side of the river, so prepare to carry your suitcase over the Rialto bridge! But, all worth it. We had a wonderful stay.

One of the staff members had no people skills and his demeanor made us feel almost unwelcome or like we are a nuisance. Other staff however were friendly. No elevators but there was a staff member helping us with suitcases.

Excellent central location, steps from the Rialto bridge. Easy to walk all over Venice from this point, and the vaporetto stop is close as well if you need a water bus. The staff are top notch and so helpful. Room was super clean and freshened up daily. Great water pressure and a big bathroom.

The rooms are not soundproof, so noisy groups passing in the alley below woke us up a few times, as well as fellow guests in the next room. Breakfast was adequate, including both hot and cold choices, but it wasn’t very tasty (no salt or pepper), so we ate out the last morning.

Location was great. We were looking for a clean/comfy place to sleep, not planning to spend the whole day at the hotel, so this was perfect. We are a family of four, with 2 older teens, the room was more spacious than I expected, so we were happy about that. The bathroom was very clean, just note there is a tricky step at the entrance and also inside the shower. The breakfast was really good too, I had seen previous reviews complaining about it, but we found a good variety and options for everyone. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place.
