staff was extremely polite.

the room was stuffy. it was warm out but there was no AC because it was too early. however, they quickly found a fan, which worked well. I also felt the front desk should have been more knowledgeable about the things to do and places to eat.

The location, the style of the suite/hotel is fabulous. The staff is extraordinary. Nice and clean was everything. Easy to reach all the famous locations within the city. A picturesque view to the Rialto made our suite really unique.

The controlling panel of the hot tube at the suite was not easy to use. A users manual would have been useful. There were only one electric plug-in at the bathroom and another at the living room area. This is not too much for a suite. Otherwise all was gorgeous.

Breakfast was ordered on a daily basis by completing a form - not buffet service. This arrangement was managed very well with a good selection of choices. The food was of a good quality, plentiful and served by friendly, attentive staff. The breakfast room overlooked the Grand Canal - an amazing view to enjoy when eating breakfast. The hotel's location was very well situated within a very short walk from the Rialto Bridge and about 10 minutes from St Mark's Square. Also the Rialto waterbus stop was just steps away from the hotel.

The hotel room was a standard size, beautifully decorated, ornate and very clean. Just the room you would imagine in a Venetian Hotel. Just a point to mention, that didn't detract from our overall enjoyment, was the limited storage for clothes - adequate hanging space but some shelving would have been useful.

I stayed in two other rooms at the hotel before i got this one during this trip alone. The previous rooms in the adjacent building of the main entrance of the hotel were tired looking but this room was much better though it had its flaws. The room appeared to be for the disabled. The hotel was very central and great location to be though Venice is small and anywhere you stayed, you would still be very close to the centre.

There was a problem with the bide spray and the whole bathroom flooded. Surprisingly no one had seen a problem with this before. People at the reception could be more helpful when I was struggling with the luggage; it took a female staff from their dining to ask if I needed help.

The location is wonderful with a one-mile path along the lake to reach the Port or downtown with restaurants along the way. It's also a few blocks from a pharmacy and more restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel was very nice however we couldn't have dinner in the dining room two nights due to private functions. The breakfast was marvalous. The outdoor seating viewing the lake was amazing - we'll come back if we can.

It would have been nice to have known about the private parties in the restaurant earlier in the day - perhaps just a notice in the dining room when we were at breakfast or something at the front desk. The first night we were almost the only ones in the dining room. The second night, we went down to have dinner and were told it was booked for a private party. The third night it was a special evening by a wine company.

We chose this hotel for its location, which was ideally situated in the centre making everywhere else walkable. Getting here from the train terminal via waterbus was easy and convenient as the stop was about 50m away. The walkway in front of the hotel was busy, but that was expected as it faces the Grand Canal. From check-in to check-out, the staff provided excellent and courteous services. The hotel was cosy, as was our room, with ample amenities for an enjoyable stay. Our room did not have any canal view but that's ok as we knew about it beforehand and we're out galivanting anyway throughout the day. The breakfast was very good and satisfying. Overall, we're glad we chose Ego as it was the cherry on the cake to what was already a fabulous trip and the perfect last destination. We usually wouldn't stay at the same place twice but if we ever do go back to Venice, Ego will give us something to think about.

We are not picky or "Karen" travellers, so really nothing that we did not like. We couldn't use the safe as the previous guest left it locked. It was supposed to be reset but we had our DND light on and it was good that the staff respected that. No big issue with the safe. For us, as long as the first impression from check-in was good and above, then we're cool. Again, the excellent service from the staff was what mattered to us. Well done to all at Ego.

Wonderful hotel! Beautiful historical decor, incredible location near the Rialto bridge, nicely serving breakfast in a lovely dining room with a view of the Grand Canal, boat stop right in front of the hotel - everything was perfect.

Accidentally once we had a morning when the store under the windows took their goods - it was noisy for an early morning - earplugs would be nice.

The decor of the hotel with it’s Venetian vibe & Murano glass lighting fixtures was beautiful. The location was close to the Rialto Bridge and a 10 min walk to everything was a plus! As well as being next to the Vaporetto stop. The included breakfast was good (not great) but the coffee was amazing! The king size bed was comfortable and the room was clean & quiet. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Location, decor, comfort, great breakfast!

we were asked to pay a good amount for the cookies we ate despite fact that we were told that they were complimentary. They were in small cylinder jars, unsealed! we were told that everything in upper part was complimentary and everything below in fridge was not. we did not want to argue with the blond haired lady at check out as we did not want to waste our time and so paid it, but considering that we paid 1309.00 Euros for 3 nights we found it cheap of them to ask for this payment as we were specifically told it was complimentary.
