The bed was very comfortable. The staff were helpful. It was a short taxi ride to the place with the windmills and folk village. There was a supermarket near the hotel. The hotel was close to Zaandam station. You exit the station to the right and go down in the lift then turn right at the bottom. It was a bit difficult to find the first time but easy when you know the way.

The breakfast was OK but a bit expensive. The train to Zaandam only goes once every 30 minutes to Amsterdam. It was about 15 euros return for an adult from memory. Apart from an interesting building next to the station there was not much to see in Zaandam itself. We didn't find any nice restaurants either.

Good stay in general. Hearty breakfast, pleasant, spacious rooms. Comfortable bedding. Just 2 minutes from the station for Amsterdam Central and with free parking, the hotel is ideally located for a city trip to Amsterdam

Too bad for the lack of communication with Mr M. because his female colleagues are smiling and pleasant I tried to speak in Dutch but not understanding all his answers I asked to speak in English, I unfortunately did not understand his answer nevertheless he did not want, or perhaps knew, to speak English, the conversation continued in Dutch ... which I understood only half. Too bad in such an internatinal hotel chain...

The room was clean, quiet and spacious. The kitchenette was an added asset. We returned 2 days later and the staff was very accommodating. We asked for the same room, since our daughter had slept well on her first stay.(she is not too keen on new places). The receptionists went out of their way to make sure we had the same room, furthermore, they arranged for our room to be cleaned with priority so we could check in earlier. A late check out was not a problem either. Overall a great experience, I can highly recommend this hotel for families.

Maybe some extra lights on the kitchenette area.

The Hotel has large rooms with good mattresses and good pillows, allowing a great rest. It is well located, close to the Zaanse Schans, and right next to the train station that connects to Amsterdam. As you don't pay to park, it's ideal for road trips, given the absurd price of parks and hotels in Amsterdam.

the only less positive point was that the room did not seem to be very well vacuumed and had some fluff in the corners and on the legs of the chairs, something to be reviewed by the Hotel.

Great hotel in a quiet safe neighbourhood. We got upgraded to a great big suite with comfy lounge, eating area, fridge, microwave.TV in lounge and bedroom. The TV had BBC.1 and 2 Bike hire from hotel was easy and great fun. Staff were all very friendly, particularly the girl who served our meals in the evening. She sorted out some different menu choices when we asked. Great choice at breakfast Great little shopping centre and local market in Zaandam. Very beautiful traditional Dutch buildings around Zaandam station. Easy regular trains to Amsterdam central and Haarlem. Would highly recommend for breaks to Amsterdam.

Shower floor was same floor as loo and basin and the whole lot got very wet. A mop was provided but floor remained very slippery for a good while afterwards. We had the dinner bed and breakfast deal and the choice was very limited - some evenings no choice! We did manage to ask for a few variations though.( Have to say the meals were lovely though)!

Great location, just 5 mins walk to train station with regular direct trains to Amsterdam central taking around 10 minutes. The room was bright, clean and spacious, with hair dryer provided, so would be great for work-related travel.

Train transport was quite expensive in Amsterdam region and not included as part of the Amsterdam city transport network (GVB), so this additional cost did add up. Staff were very helpful but could have been a little more knowledgeable of local directions or have maps available for cycling locally.

On a cycling holiday touring the Netherlands. The suite was reasonably priced for a central location just 4 minutes from the railway station, and just what we needed for a 2 night stay while we visited Zaanse Schans. Microwave, kettle, coffee maker and fridge, and Albert Heijns just two minutes walk away meant that we could be self-catering. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Lock-up bike shed for our bikes during our staty. Stains on the carpet and dirty windows meant we couldn't give it a 10.

The location is great, being close to the train station means you can get quickly to the city center, to the airport, etc. It's far from the city center and the overpriced and tiny accomodations there. But shopping centers and restaurants are also close by in Zaandamm. The bed was soft, the room was big, parking was available if you're by car.

The furniture is a bit old, there was a funny septic smell on the floor and some stains and worn spots in the carpet. Nothing really bothersome but it seemed like they were optimizing their costs at the expense of style.

The location is the best part. This hotel is right next to the zanndam station. That helped a lot. We just walked a few steps and we were on the train. Rooms were pretty nice.

The staff wasnt that helpful. They were nice but didnt have that much information. We had a problem with KLM and they coudnt help us find the number. Also, they didnt know any recomendation around the hotel (where to buy a carry on or stuff like that). They were polite but not that helpful. Rooms were not cleaned everyday.

The family room was perfect and great value. We had a main room/bathroom. And another room with 2 twin beds, kitchen table and sink area with kettle. It was very comfortable for a family of 4. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs and it was AMAZING!! We also rented bikes, but I wouldn't do that again with the kids. It's 1 size bike and the bike paths are a little crazy with scooters, motorized bikes and trying to navigate. We took the train into Amsterdam, but check prices. It was sometimes cheaper to Uber with a family of 4.

The bathroom door is glass and see through! I'm mean... seriously.. no privacy. It was a bit odd. But the rest of the room and hotel was great.
