- Both the private onsen and public onsen facilities are great and convenient especially in cold weather. - Buffet meals had a good variety. - Complimentary extra bathrobes for guests to choose near the reception area was a nice touch. - Staff were helpful despite the language barrier. - Short distance from Hakone-Yumoto Station by shuttle bus or cab.
- Design of the private onsen and room's shower area could be improved. The shower facilities and open air private onsen bath could be separated with a door to prevent insects from disrupting guests while showering. - Intervals for the shuttle bus are too long during certain times of the day.

we enjoyed the Onsen that was adjacent to the hotel. Very cool to experience. Also the dinner and breakfast buffets provide a wide choice of selections. Again allowed us to sample various Japanese dishes. The room was charming and the yukatas added to the Japanese experience. the staff were friendly and very helpful.
The hotel is a bit of a hike out of town. On the time/day of our departure the shuttle bus that serves the hotel was full so we had to use a taxi to return to the train station (860 yen). Minor problem.

excellent place, nice staff, everything clear
the location was kinda hard to reach if you are going using public transportation, you need to walk a lot after the bus stop. And be aware most of the clients are group of people so at night you can hear sometime others people be loud. And remember if you want to dinner you need to ask in the check-in process.

Loved the Open-Air Bath - (SUISAI) room. The room is very spacious. The breakfast and dinner buffet is good with decent varieties.
The limited shuttle service to Hakone-Yumuto station. It's every hour and no shuttle service at noon. The 11:20 shuttle was so packed because everyone had to checkout at 11. If you missed or cannot get on this shuttle, you have to wait until 1:20 pm shuttle.

Hotel is a walking distance to the train station. Our room had it's private onsen, which was nice. Room was very spacious and clean. We had a full body massage, which was great! We stayed for 1 night and did a round trip in Hakone. In the morning we walked to the train station, got train to Gora, went up the eat some black eggs, got down, took pirate boat went by the shrine and then took taxi back to the train station. It's all possible to do in 1 day (6-7 hours).
All the hotel looks a bit old, the dining area is not very pleasant to be honest (due to old looking). It had that smell of old people (like the smell when you go to visit your grandparents). Also it would be good to have some information in the room in English language. Some people went for dinner with clothes which were left in the room. I thought it was pajamas.... For the price we paid I thought we will have a better experience.

On porch Hot Bath was awesome. Outdoor shower was fun as well. Room was very comfortable. Buffet was a big hit as it served both Vegetarians and non-Vegetarians. Lots of options. On site Onsen was nice. Staff gave us a ride to the train when no cabs would come get us. That was great service.
Policy on Tattoos is very restrictive for this day with so many young people in the world with Tattoos. Several of our crew could not use the Onsen and I would not come back with my family if that policy doesn't change. Not may restaurant options close by. Long walk uphill from the train.

We had initially booked a Japanese traditional room without a private onsen, but then we decided to upgrade and it was the best thing in the world. The staff was really accommodating of this. The room was just great, with all of the comforts and very new. The private onsen was great, we used it a lot. Dinner and breakfast were buffet style, with a wide variety of choice. Definitely recommend, we would have stayed longer.
The hotel doesn't have a shuttle bus from the station. Also people with tattoos cannot access any of the services (I was able to cover mine to access the spa, but they are very strict with this)

I liked the private bath in our room, the excellent bathroom, amenities, and big room. Our room was 203, kind of far from the centre and poor wifi BUT the outdoor bath area had the best view of the river AND the mountain since it's a corner room. I spent a lot of time just sitting in the outdoor bath room and even took a nap out there. The outdoor public onsen was also very nice (the one outside their property, not a far walk). The hotel had ample vending machines and some that sold alcohol, and their gift shop in the main lobby had plenty of snacks, drinks, food, and souvenirs (even exclusive to Hakone Evangelion stuff). I booked a massage (extra cost) and the masseuse was friendly and we were talking in half Japanese and half English. The hotel staff was also very helpful for calling us a big taxi when we checked out since we had too much heavy luggage to use the shuttle bus or walk to the station.
We had to kill 2 cockroaches, I understand it's common in Japan and it's also the mountain countryside. At least the hotel provides roach spray which actually did kill them without us having to kill them with our feet or something. The hotel is also halfway up a mountain so be prepared for a walk if you want to save money and walk to eat or drink. Also we are 2 big dudes the beds were kinda small, but that's why the room is big.

Wonderful location in Hakone, a short walk from the town centre but with breakfast and dinner included there is no need to leave the resort. Our room included a hot tub that was a treat after spending the day seeing all the attraction in this wonderful part of Japan.
Not a real complaint however the Buffet style food while very good was always the same ( which I can understand for ease and the dishes would be tried and true favourites) also it was limiting if like me you have particular dietary requirements. That being said it was hard to go past the fresh sushi that was served and all of the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
