Excellent property located right at the base of Tsugaike mountain (in my opinion the best resort in the Hakuba Valley). The staff were incredible, most spoke english or had enough english language skills to answer any questions. The people make the place and staff here were really exceptional. I stayed in a dorm room whihc are laid out well "capsule style" which gives you alot of privacy and seperation from the other guests in your room. The facilities were super clean, like scrubbed daily. Breakfast was great; coffee was SUPER strong. There is a small meeting room available if you need some privacy for work calls. The drying room stays hot all night long and gear was always super dry in the morning. There is also a kitchen were you can cook for yourself if you need to. Also laundry machines and dryers available. The bus stop from Nagano/Narita is almost at the front door of the hotel and the bus to get to the other resorts in the area is a 2 minute walk away from the front door. My only complaint was that the wifi was pretty weak, had trouble streaming video more than once but was capable of uploading youtube videos thought it did take a little longer. overall I HIGHLY recommend the UnPlan Hakuba. I didn't want to leave and would 100% stay again. You will not regret staying here

Wifi could have been stronger throughout the facility

Great value and location beside the Tsugaike Gondola Station. Both unplan locations have drying rooms to store ski equipment so it’s warm and dry in the morning. Communal bathrooms were clean with good setup and lovely hot showers. We didn’t use the kitchen, laundry, or workspace but these were available to. We stayed in a 2 bed room + futon, beds were medium firm with futon and pillows being firm. Staff were extremely helpful and supportive! Provided information on local attractions and transportation.

Breakfast had limited options with items running low in the last half hour of breakfast. Bread rolls, hard boiled eggs, salad, soup, and plain yogurt with granola. Visited late in the ski season end of March, limited open restaurants in walking distance.

Great location right on the slopes near the gondola at Tsaigke Kogen. Very clean, nice staff and everything you need for a basic ski lodge style accommodation. The value for money is excellent and the restaurant within the main building is great and very good food and a great selection of wine and Japanese whisky. Drying room, kitchen, free wifi and shared areas.

Liked this place but this one is not for families, younger people, couples or solo travellers will get value for this families may struggle with the shared kitchen and bathrooms. However, for a person, group or couple seeking excellent clean accommodation right on the slopes and close to bars and restaurants this one is for you.

Location is the best 2-3 mins walking to the Gondola, the room is clean as well as the property. Very friendly staff where they're always accommodate us during the stay, reachable when we were struggling with the windows, their response are swift and impressive.

There are 2 minor things, first is about the choice of the breakfast is too basic but understandable. Second is there's no elevator which our group ( mainly contains of girls ) has to put an effort to take our big luggage to the 3rd floor.

In a perfect spot, close to everything. Staff were all lovely and place was comfortable to stay in.

As a solo traveler the hostel doesn’t have a very good system allowing fellow travelers to interact and meet others staying in the hostel. Felt a little more like a hotel vibe but in shared rooms.

Super modern looking and nice, clean, spacious, nice bathroom utilities, love the kitchen, great location next to the slopes, helpful staff to foreigners

No shuttle service, not as friendly and took care of their customers COMPARED to a hostel like K’s House Hakuba, where the family that owned it took great care of their residents and were VERY sweet. UNPLAN was more busy, so the staff did not have the time to converse and talk with the residents.

Location amazing, close to Tsugaike gondola. It's a good idea to choose here instead of Happo One since buses from train station run frequently and stop nearby. The hotel has a cozy restaurant with delicacies made with local ingredients. Room was simple but had everything you need for a snow trip, including a unit bath

Room heater was very strong even on weak configuration. Breakfast could have meat options and cheese. And drying room could have hangers with clips for gloves and goggles.

The location is very good, near by the Tsugaike Snow Resort, you can just walk to there. We were stayed at Dormitory Room, the mattress was good enough for the price. Each bed has outlet and light, that is all I need for a night.

Location, very clean, restaurant downstairs has awesome pasta/noodles, nice chilling room for hotel guests.

Very basic room. Not even a table next to socket to charge your phone... so phone on the floor... if the cable long enough. Also no kettle in the room. Its available though if you go 2 floors down to a tiny kitchen/ common area... both thigs not the end of the world, just a bit inconvenient for the price of jpy25.000 a night.

Great location: Gondola and bus station just across the parking lot, very clean and calm. Music was great in the lobby

Breakfast was tasty but way too simple. Only toast with butter and jam, salad and boiled eggs. After 5 days I got bored and it is not difficult to offer different spreads, sausages, fruits etc.
