Good location, friendly staff

I booked the high level (17-26) room but instead of port view room I was given city/mountain view room. Maybe make it clear that you want a port view room when you are booking.

You could genuinely feel the hotel thought hard about making everything easy to use and comfortable in the room and providing everything you could possibly need. The view from the room was really nice. There is also a convenient and cheap parking right next to the building, so it is very ideal for drivers, and the Osaka region is one where a rental car can be quite useful for visiting things. The staff - especially a Nepalese member- was genuinely caring and helpful.

The hotel is clearly outdated now in many ways, and there is quite a lot of dust in the carpet and other places so that it could be an issue for someone with a dust allergy like me. Also, the air is quite dry. There are air purifiers/humidifiers everywhere, including the room, but they can only do so much. Also, I needed to replace the water that ran out quite often myself. When it runs out, the air gets so dry that you get a headache, as I experienced one night. This certainly would need some more attention.

I had the ocean view , and it was a lovely view overlooking the port of kobe. The main lobby was spacious and featured a very nice Christmas tree. The grand driveway leading to the entrance was also very nice and posh. The location was central in accessing most of the attractions along the port. There is a carpark was handy and linked to the hotel. For 1000 yen a day , allows multiple in and out of the carpark. Rooms were big and spacious, layout of rooms was thoughtful. allow space to stow our 2 big luggages and stroller.

One has to be mindful that some of the staff English language is not as proficient as one will expect, especially for the night shift staff that i have encountered. Took a while to communicate but they were still extremely helpful and responsive despite the communications barrier. More explanation of the facilities might be also helpful , eg: there was an actual shorter route to access the Starbucks outlet at the waterfront, but it was not apparent till the last day of our stay. Perhaps to include some self explanatory notes in the rooms for the guests to refer to ?

The interior of the hotel is impressive. It is a bit dated, but in a good way in my opinion. It’s high quality and well aged. I stayed on the 33rd floor and the view was mesmerising. The room was very spacious and made me feel at home. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The hotel is situated brilliantly, all the major sights are within walking distance.

The mattress is too hard, it feels like sleeping on the floor. I understand this is what Asian guests prefer but maybe offer a soft topper for us Europeans? The carpet has a little too many stains in it ;)

Great View! The staff were polite in the check in counter. They brought our things and led us to our room.

1. There is no short cut to walk going to Meriken Park at the back of the hotel. We were looking for the pathway going outside which leads to Meriken park but you need to walk by the side of the front entrance and you have to go around the parking of the hotel to get to Meriken Park. We thought there is a path that is clear and easy to spot. 2. There was a lady waiter who saw my food tray already finished but did not bother to get it. The table next to us were glad their waiter got there food tray. So I just brought my food tray back to front.

Arrived after very long trip from Europe, tired. Beautiful room. Good to rest. Comfortable beds & pillows. Nice bathroom. I always ask for higher floor & my room was beautiful with a sea & park view. Perfect for me & my first visit to Kobe. The staff everywhere were so nice & helpful. Appreciated the hotel shuttle bus from Sannomiya Station: when I first arrived from the airport ITM with an Airport Limousine Bus & again during my stay in Kobe. Breakfast buffet is splendid & also can get a good espresso coffee. I like Japanese Breakfast! Had one dinner at the Chinese Restaurant: very good. Beautifully presented. Lot of food. I arrived hungry & left very full! I inquired about the swimming pool, but ultimately did not have time to use it this visit. Hopefully next time. (Extra cost to use the swimming pool/sauna)

All was fine!

The view of kobe port was magnificent. The room was very spacious. The staff were nice and helpful. Parking is very convenient and cheap. Location was wonderful land just walking distance to kobe port. Too bad the Kobe Tower was under renovation. The beds were comfortable and nice, apart from the blue cushions that came with it.

The smell of cigarette in the corridor carpet was a bit strong. It spread into the room which was non smoking. But I used the air filter machine inside the room for 2 hours and all the smell was gone. The blue cushions that came with the beds may not be as clean as the actual bed pillow, mattress and sheets. I put that cushion near my two beds and both my wife and I started to feel itchy. Then I put the blue pillow away to a far place and everything was nice since.

The room was comfortable and well appointed, the bathroom was large enough. Beds and pillows were very good, so we got a good night's rest. The hotel is by the marina, so it is possible to go for a very pleasant stroll close by. The breakfast was very well appointed, with loads of options and a very good view over the marina.

The closest metro station is about 15 minutes away walking, which can be too much with suitcases or if it rains. There is not enough room for putting clothes away in drawers.

Spacious room for a family of 2 adults and a 7yo. A triple-sharing room had a decent extra bed that was not a sofa bed. The room was clean and bath amenities were generously provided. Location was great as it was within walking distance to Motomachi station and Harborland. Parking was also affordable at ¥1000/day for guests. Service staff were always warm and helpful. Overall a lovely stay at a reputable hotel.

Nothing as it was a typical well-run Okura hotel in Japan.
