The staff at the front desk were really nice and friendly. We didn't rent many items but they had really cool things you could rent. My favorite thing we rented were vinyl for the turntable. The large wall TV in the room also had YouTube which was really nice because we were tired of watching Japanese cable channels. Our room had the best bathroom and the hotel had the best drying machines in our entire trip to Japan. The dryers here can dry a load of clothing in less than an hour while dryers in other hotels take around 2 hours. This hotel is really modern and feels high-end with the POLA shampoo, conditioner, and body wash and the Dyson hair dryer.

We got a room on the first floor with the door opening into the hallway leading to the lobby, so that meant there were a few mosquitos and other bugs hanging out inside the room. We used the stove to cook but the fan was weak and we didn't want to open the window wide (no screen) so the room smelled like oil for a while. Although the hotel is pretty modern, there were barely any electrical outlets besides the ones near the beds and kitchen.

Fantastic property in a great location; across the street from a beautiful temple. The staff were very attentive & kind, and, took care of us very well. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment & had plenty of space for my family of 5; the attached kitchen with utensils/appliances helped with cooking some light stuff for the kids or to heat up/keep cold all the awesome snacks we got from the nearby Family mart (2 mins walking distance). The proximity to Kyoto station (10 min walk) was great for us to catch trains to various nearby cities we visited & to catch the Shinkansen to Tokyo.

We are a family of 4 with two young children and travelled from Tokyo to Kyoto in late August. We loved staying in 20 Pieces! The 2 bedroom suite was very spacious and comfortable, well equipped and there was a generous selection of high quality items to rent from Reception. It was located opposite a beautiful temple with easy access to Kyoto station via an underground walkway and Family Mart supermarket round the corner. The laundry room was very handy and easy to use for a small fee. Reception staff were also very helpful and welcoming and assisted with restaurant bookings and luggage transfer.

20 pieces is so modern and sleek looking! The location was close to the Kyoto station walking distance and was easy to find. They’re so many little shopping shops and restaurants along the way and also a huge temple across the street. The room was spacious and very clean! We even got to rent some neat stuff like Bluetooth speakers, vinyl records and d happy birthday signs to celebrate my son’s birthday that night! Staff very friendly and helpful- spoke great English! Looking forward to stay here again on our next adventure.

Close to the Kyoto station. The room is spacious. There are self serve laundry services. The bathroom is modern and clean. There are pots and electrical kitchen appliances you can loan for no charge. 7-12 and Lawsons are close by. Staff is wonderful

It’s not that convenient to the gion area. Take buses more than train whenever we go to gion area for restaurants. The room is kinda dark when first walk in. There’s no freezer in the fridge. Also two washing machines are not enough. Long wait in the early evening

We are family of 4. 2 adults and 2 teens. We bring 1 medium suitcase & 1 cabin suitcase. When we arrived the room was cleaned and ready for us. Check in process was quick and easy, the person in charge showed us how to use the password doors and explained the cleaning rules (no cleaning or changing bedding until the 4th night), and the rest are by request. 20 pieces has a nice room! We chose Loft B room in 4th floor and it’s huge for Japan’s standard. The room has 4 bunk beds and big living - dining room. Our room view face to the temple across the street ❤️ Laundry room is on the ground floor across the check in table, it has 2 washing machines and 2 dryers. Plan ahead a good time to wash, otherwise you'll be queuing. Washing is 200 yen and drying is 100 yen for every 10 min. There are convenience stores close by, and walking distance to Kyoto station. Easy to find food. Thing to consider: - Maybe providing a handheld broom & dustpan or handheld vacuum is a good idea. We can clean the crumbs or hairs from the floor.

The hotel was great for a family of four. The beds were comfortable and big. Having a full kitchen was great when we wanted to just cook some light breakfast or snacks. The location is right across from a beautiful temple/shrine and is otherwise in a quiet area. There is a metro station exit only a few blocks away, although it is the last exit on a long underground walk-way (but beats walking in the sun/heat).

The large main couch was not comfortable (very stiff cushions), but we didn't spend much time in the room except at nights to sleep. Instructions for the AC units would have been helpful, but we did figure them out using google translate.

This hotel was perfectly located, close to Kyoto Station, convenience stores, Yodobashi shopping, restaurants and a lovely temple. The beds were so comfortable (great shower and bath) and everything was clean. We appreciated the bench seating under the window along with the dining table - in most hotel rooms the only seating is on the beds. Best of all was the staff in the lobby! They were so helpful, answering our many questions about where to go when it was raining, how to transfer our luggage to our next hotel, what/where to eat, etc.

Perfect for a family of four. Clean, spacious and friendly staff. We made sure to get a view of the temple across the road, which is very impressive and you can watch people as they enter or take photos or walk/cycle past. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet and could be made dark for a nice sleep. Nice touches include items to borrow from reception area such as a turntable and vinyl records. Coffee machine down there was handy too. Great location just a few minutes walk from the station.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at 20 pieces. We were welcomed, shown the facilities and even permitted an early check in. The design of the loft is beautiful, functional and innovative & was in excellent condition. The layout, furnishing and amenities in the room were well thought out and well designed. The beds were very comfortable - the 4 of us enjoyed ourselves and the door between the kitchen dining and the living/sleeping quarters was a god send! We made good use of the kitchen - the appliances and design making it easy to work in and keep tidy. The record player was an unexpected treat which we also put to work - we enjoyed having a big selection to borrow from the foyer. The bathrooms were generous and the best water pressure of all our stays in Japan. There was storage enough for our 2 suitcases. The location was excellent - directly opposite Higashi Honganji Temple, a block away from Kyoto Tower and 2 blocks from Kyoto Station, with 2 other smaller subway stations even nearer. There is a local Lawson's and shopping complex within 3 mins walk. It was wonderful to end our trip on such a high. Thank you
