Hotel staff was very professional and some can speak very well English, the room is big for luggage and comfortable to stay in. TV comes with channels other than Japanese (Chinese and English). Hotel able to handle luggage transfer with ease. Onsen facility is excellent also. Hotel is very central with shopping streets, convenient shops, shopping centres, train/bus stops nearby and a medicine/cosmetic shop downstairs

The entrance to the hotel is not very obvious to find, more signage would be great. Even with windows closed, given the location of the hotel, sometimes at night we can hear the siren sounds from emergency services.

The location is great. It's ~10min walk from the Gion distritct. It's very close to a main street with lots of shops, restaurants, convenience stores, etc. Although the staff did not speak much English, we raised an issue and they tried to fix it. We found a letter in our room to let us know they checked. This was very kind of them. At night, staring ~9.30pm there are free rice and beverages. The room had a decent size, with a clean bathroom and a big shower. Overall the room was great. The hotel also has a public onsen! And honestly, really cheap. I had expected less for what I paid and the hotel exceeded my expectations, by far.

For some reason, the ventilation system in the bathroom is quite noisy even if it is switched off. We raised it but they said it was ok, that they did not find any issues. It was difficult to raise the issue because the people at reception did not speak English. We needed to use Google Translate (but they tried to help a lot, they were super nice!)

The location is fantastic, right next to the shopping area, close to important cultural landmarks in Kyoto, and close to public transport to move around. The public bath was a great experience.

I tried to book with a breakfast, but I did not read carefully the email I received, so I did not make screenshots of Booking.com at the moment of reserving to keep as proof. Aside from that, the room was nice, pity there is no space for suitcases or a small wardrobe to store things. For a couple it can become tight very quickly.

We loved this hotel so much! The room was spacious with really comfortable beds. It was also perfectly cold with strong AC, it's so hot in Kyoto right now and we actually looked forward to coming home at the end of the night. It's in the perfect location. Walking distance to many shops, train stations and the famous Pontocho Alley. I would stay here every single time I come to Kyoto. The hotel also has an onsen which was a surprise. I went in around 11pm and it was empty. Something you have to experience while you are in Japan!

Room had no view but that was to be expected.

The location is very convenient and you can walk to Kyoto shopping district in just minutes. Pontocho is just 10 minutes walk away. Nishiki market is even closer to the hotel. I was very impressed with the staff working in the hotel, very friendly and helpful. Facility is clean and no one smoking in the rooms! This is a minimalist hotel, nothing fancy but it provides all the essential things you need.

Frontage of the hotel is little bit obscure and not easily noticeable. The entrance is tug in a narrower side street but safe.

Good location near Nishiki Market, a big bus stop and next to an entrance of the underground walkway to the subway station. The shower with massage function was very nice. The staff was also very kind and helpful. The hotel's musical theme is well done - there is even Bach music playing in the corridors at daytime.

Every day you put the "do not disturb" sign at the door because you don't want your room to be cleaned you will get a printed notification to your room. This is unnecessary and a waste of paper. If the hotel still wants to print this notification it could at least been reduced to the first time during your stay. Also there are almost no possibilities to hang or store stuff. There is no safe in your room but lockers at the lobby.

The hotel is well located at shijo kawaramachi. There are several business streets with restaurants and shopping nearby and we can easily go there by walking. The bus stop is nearby and we took a bus to Kiyomizu dera. The hotel is super clean, everything is provided in the hotel and the bedding is very comfortable. There's a public bath too but we didn't use it. The breakfast set was superb too. We stayed 2 nights here and we chose Japanese style breakfast. They prepared different dishes for 2 days of Japanese style breakfast. I guess that's everything we need for a hotel.

The room is smaller than expected but still enough for us. Maybe because the bathroom is slightly larger so made the room space abit smaller. And the hotel entrance is not facing the main road, need to access thru a street next to a pharmacy.

Such a cute hotel in the middle of the shopping streets of Kyoto. It's all musical themed, Bach playing everywhere, music notes on everything, very adorable. They offer free non-alcoholic drinks in their restaurant for guest for a certain time during the day, and after 2130, they offer a little ochazuke snack bar. Their onsen is public and a fairly good size. Rooms are small but typical for most Japanese rooms. Really nice shower. If you're looking for the hotel, look up for the hotel sign, the entrance is in a small alley way off to the side.

Nothing in particular. Rooms are small but thats expected from most hotels in the area.

The location is fantastic, right off of Shijo in the heart of downtown, less than 10 minutes away from the Karasuma subway and the Keihan train. The Teramachi and Shinkyogoku covered shopping streets are a few minutes away as well. The room was pretty, clean and very nice, though tiny by our standards. We purchased the excellent breakfast, where you can choose a Japanese or Western meal and unlimited coffee/tea/juice. We especially liked the public bath that was available just for guests.

The room was very small for two people. There was almost no room to hang up clothes or store our luggage. Some hooks on the walls and doors might help. Or maybe provide a chest of drawers instead of the tiny sofa. But we'd stay here again due to the good breakfast, helpful staff, and fabulous location.

We loved everything! The hotel was super nice, modern and very clean. The room had everything we needed. The beds were comfy, shower and bathroom amenities were perfect. Laundry was available and so were the public baths! We especially like the coffee and tea station in the reception area as well as the late night snack offered by the hotel. The location was the main reason for booking this hotel and it did not disappoint! We were minutes from any subway station, Pontocho Alley and Yasaka Shrine! Would definitely stay here again!

Nothing! Would definitely return :)
