It is a lovely hotel, ideally situated above Nagoya Station—large rooms with multiple elevators to the rooms. Housekeeping was top-notch. The front desk and guest relations were polite and helpful. The view, especially at night, was spectacular! I had a room on the 45th floor and felt like I was in the tallest building, looking down on Nagoya.

I wish there were not two sets of elevators to get from the train station to your hotel room. I also wish there were more than three elevators to the 15th floor, where you had to catch another elevator a short walk away. I wish the taxi service on the second floor were more efficient. Because of the wait, I went to the first floor and caught a taxi in front of the station.

The room is spacious and in Japan, should be considered very large. It is a convention hotel, hence many guests and very good facilities.The breakfast buffet is excellent, freshly prepared food stations and a large variety of food. The hotel is situated in the same building complex as the central train station and is very convenient in travelling to outside areas such as to Magome, the Nakasendo trail. The hotel itself is starting from the 15 th floor upwards in a twin block building complex. Our room has a wonderful view of the city. The 12 and 13 floors are all kinds of restaurants. Shopping malls and department stores are either downstairs or reachable through underground paths. One literally need not go out of the building. The main road outside is already lined with brand shops. Staff are all very helpful and speak good English.

The hotel has a well equipped gym and yoga room with free entry for guests. A swimming pool and sauna are also available nevertheless entry with a fee. I feel that a hotel of this class should not be charging a fee for use of its facilities.

There is a direct train from Nagoya Airport to this hotel. It’s a 35 min ride at a reasonable cost. Use the West Gates exit to go up to street level and you will see Marriott just across the street. JR train and subway stations are just below the same building - very convenient. Many good restaurants and shopping centres are close by. The double bedroom is not spacious but comfortable and clean. We enjoyed a good breakfast in the hotel. The “Express Check-out” saved time as we have prepaid our accommodation. The Reception staff was helpful and arranged our luggage to be delivered to our room. The service at Pergola was friendly and efficient.

The hotel service should be standardised. We went for a side trip in between our stay at Marriott. When we checked in the second time, the Reception staff didn’t arrange our luggage to be delivered to our room this time. We had to do it ourselves. It was disappointing as this is a basic 5 star hotel service. The TV volume was set low to almost inaudible even we were not having a conversation. We think the volume can be slightly higher so that we can watch some world news while we are away.

We stayed at the concierge level and they were very helpful in arranging everything. On top of that all the facilities were included: gym, pool, sauna, afternoon tea, cocktail hour.

Not everyone of the staff speaks as well English. My luggage was to be picked-up at 17.15 then they came at 17h. When I asked them to come back a little later they came 17.30 instead of 17.15. Being on a tight schedule it was a minor setback. The same with the taxi. I ordered a day ahead but since it was a little far away out of town they had a hard time to locate the address. Use google maps or anything.

The room service food was high quality and delicious. The free bottles of water every day were appreciated. The view was fantastic. We enjoyed a different view from the bar on the 52nd floor. The room was comfortable. Convenient location for catching trains.

The size and location of the hotel made it take longer to get around. Two sets of elevators to take and sometimes we had to run to catch a far away elevator. But it's worth it for the room size and the view.

Everything was great at this hotel. It has direct access from the Nagoya station, which has all the necessities one could want. The room, hotel amenities, bathroom accessories, and everything was great. Hotel staff was very courteous and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic. This hotel was one of the best I have stayed at in Japan.

Can not think of anything I didn't like.

Great room with incredibly comfortable beds, best so far in Japan where, in my experience, most hotels beds have no top mattress. For someone who needs good support to sleep, it would be worth spending money. Location was also fantastic and the views.

Unfortunately, the room keys stopped working mid-stay and needed to be fixed.

The location was excellent, no need to get dizzy finding the hotel. The Front Office staff was friendly and spoke english well, thank you. Housekeeping was excellent and responsive when requested extra coffee tablets, thank you so much. The gym, though “tucked away,” was clean and spacious, with a stretching/yoga room provided…wow!

Everything was superb. Looking forward to returning.

Great location: nearest NagStation and good restaurants, shopping and the like. Spacious enough room that was reasonably priced and graciius, good englisg-speaking staff at check-in and check-out.

The fitness centee/gym was too “tucked-away” and seemingly inaccessible, having a separate elevator and personal footwear banned from its floor. Highly unusual and restricting

The hotel has an amazing location, and our room was very clean & spacious room for the price. It was very convenient since we used Nagoya as a base to commute to surrounding areas. We'll stay here again for our next visit to Nagoya :)
