strategic location, near train station and across the Family mart. complete facility. comfortable room

there’s no women’s toilet on 2nd floor. the women’s public bath on 1st floor is not really safe. You can directly see the dressing room when you open the door. So, if someone is undressing herself, you can see her immediately from the door and it’s facing the men’s public bath door. Actually someone opened the door while we were about to undress ourselves. fortunately he didn’t look at us and closed the door immediately. I hope they can add proper partition/blind before the dressing room. Another thing is that bcs we are staying in the capsule rooms, we couldn’t really enjoy ourselves because we need to keep quiet all the time and it’s prohibited to drink/eat in the room. I think this hotel, the capsule room in particular is more suitable for solo traveler and not for group.

Located in a convenient location, 5 mins away from Tobu-nikko station. There is a nice hot spring to use too!

Not much to dislike honestly. Price was fair, room space was narrow, but enough to navigate through.

Good simple hotel, good location, clean, friendly staff

Breakfast finishing at 9 is too early. sometimes things removed at 8.40. Ok for business hotel but not for people on holidays

This little local hotel exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be a "dorm room", but it was actually a very small private room with a capsule sleeping pod. So much more private than a typical dorm or capsule, and crucially, no need to put your stuff into lockers and constantly having to go back and forth to the lockers. Nice bath, great location, friendly staff, and very close walking distance to the train station (4-5 minutes), and immediately across the street from Family Mart. Another thing worth mentioning - you can't leave your stuff with the office if you want to arrive early or late. Instead, there are big private lockers in the lobby that they provide which cost only 100yen, which is VERY reasonable, and which can accommodate even a very large backpack and daypack. Can't comment on the single rooms, but for a solo traveler thinking about the dorm, this is definitely recommended!

No complaints really - this place exceeded my expectations and was great value.

Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is very close to the train station, making it a very convient location. They offer free coffee, tea and juice in the morning. Small comfortable rooms with your own personal toilet. Has a convenience store right infront of the hotel and ramen shop right next door. Onsen on first floor. The room also had a clothes line incase you do laundry in the hotel, which is convient.

I could be wrong, but if you have tattoos you won't be able to use the onsen or book it to use privately.

Supermarket is in front of the hotel, easy to get food.

It's imposable to open the window.

I stayed in a small room on the second floor with a twin bed (it was on an upper bunk, because the adjacent separate room had the lower bunk). The location was great, just a five minute walk to the Nikko-Tobu station! The room had a little desk, and a large locker for keeping things secure. The room also provided slippers, which was nice. The room itself is lockable, but the staff will come in to clean once a day, which is why the extra locker was nice to have. Everything was clean, too. There is also a small public bath (gender-separated, of course) on the first floor, which was empty when I used it. It's probably most comfortable for one or maybe two people to use at a time, as it is quite small. The hotel also provides breakfast for a fee (you have to get a ticket in advance the night before); I didn't eat breakfast there, but it's an option for those who want it! There are also four free coin lockers outside the hotel for guests to use (you will need a 100 yen coin to use it, but the coin will be refunded when you return the key). Keep in mind that if you want to use it after checking out, you may want to put your bags in quite early; by the time I checked out, it was fully occupied and there were no lockers left.

The room was a little too warm, and there was no women's restroom on my floor, so I had to use the sink/WC downstairs or upstairs. The downstairs sink was too public at times (no closed door), but the upstairs toilet smelled a little odd to me.

Soundproofing isn't great, even though you're in your own little room

The room was very clean and the location was excellent. We had a twin room with a private bathroom. The Wifi worked well enough for social media. The hotel is quite small, so there was no one at reception until 3.pm but there were coin lockers to keep your things if you arrive earlier. You get your 100Y back when you open the locker, so that was a nice little surprise. The ‘onsen’ was a waist-deep tiled bath big enough for two people only if you are friends, I think my expectations about it might have been unrealistic given the price of the room. The check in staff was very patient with us when we had a bit of confusion about what was included in our booking, and super patient with another guest who was clearly not having a great day.

The front entrance and ground floor was a little crowded and it did not give a great first impression. The room was much cleaner in comparison.

Close to the station and main bus station, Family Mart right across from the hotel. The room with a private toilet is great for one person, futon was comfy. Plenty of lockers to store you belongings before check in. There are coin laundry machines and dryers, there are on the ground floor and there were also on the 3rd floor. Might be washer and dryer on every floor, didn't check. Shared showers were very clean, and so was the room. Great value for money if you come for a nature hike and pack lightly. Quite even though there were a lot of people staying that night :)

Vending machines are expensive but you can literally stock up right across at the FmiMart. The women's bath area was very small, and could be a bit cleaner in my opinion. Privacy curtain is not long enough, considering you have to change right in front of the door... There is an extra "bath fee" not included in the price here, but it's very small (190¥) Mind you, the hotel is closer to the Tobu-Nikko station, and not the JR Nikko station, it adds about 5 minutes to the walk up the hill to the hotel.
