One of the best accommodations I’ve stayed in, the room is full of everything you need the owners are extremely nice and respectful; we had a problem with charging our phones the owner lent us her charger for a night then at checking out she bought us a charger socket as a gift It was extremely nice. We even order food in their restaurant it was delicious. It’s 3min walk from the station and 3min walk from supermarket even the two rooms we booked had a view with green mountain .i think that’s everything you need in a place to stay in

The only issue which had is it’s far from Nikko itself about an hour by train but the property has no hand in this we just didn’t understand; but with even this I don’t regret it because i had to vista Kinugawa itself which was an amazing place very calm surrounded by green mountains so yeah it’s totally worth it.

Great value for price, friendly (and bilingual!) owners, convenient location, fabulous restaurant!

The check-in time is a bit limited, although we realize this is mostly because *everything* in Kinugawa and even Nikko closes up at sunset! Because we went straight from work in Tokyo, we arrived after checkout time and it was hard to find the hotel because the sign was turned off. Also, the beds were pretty hard, and the plumbing was a bit creaky. I do feel like I'm being too nitpicky because the owners are nice, the restaurant is great, and the price is so much more reasonable than the onsen resort hotels down the street.

This was very close to Kinugawa Onsen station and also a convenience store. We had 2 rooms with a shared toilet for our family of 4. It was small which meant little floor room for suitcases but the price was excellent so I think that was worth it. However there were onsen nearby that the hotel recommended for us. This was wonderful!!

The bathroom had a toilet and shower over bath in one, which is not so easy to bathe. We couldn’t bathe in Japanese style easily with this set up.

The venue may have appeared a little old, a little basic, but in reality it was as good as any of the larger hotels we had stayed in. Staff were friendly, even though I don't speak any Japanese. Nice little downstairs restaurant where I got to eat a hamburger with chopsticks. Close to the station. I'd recommend this place.

Nothing to complain about. It was what it said it would be for a reasonable price.

Rooms are very simple (don’t expert à large baht room for exemple), but you have what is really necessary for a really chez p price :climatisation, central location in the Kinugawa valley, close to the station. The meals are Good and unexpensive ans it is quite nice not to search for food at night after exploring the area du ring the day. During the day there is noise from the main road next to the building, but it is perfectly quiet at night.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, located in a quiet village that provided a peaceful retreat from the city. The hotel's close proximity to the train station with good connecting trains for sightseeing in Nikko made it a great base for exploring the area's natural beauty and cultural attractions. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's restaurant, which served up some of the most delicious food. The chef clearly took great care in selecting the freshest and highest quality ingredients. The room itself was small, but clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities one would need for a pleasant stay.

Not the best wifi in the rooms but quite stable.

Proximity to the station and bus stop to Edo Wonderland, as well to the river cruise. All you need for a budget one-night stay. Restaurant on the ground floor (tasty food at a reasonable price). Welcoming staff.

You should take off your shoes downstairs but the provided slippers are not disposable. Everyone can put on any of the provided slippers. By default, no sheet is given for the blanket (but is available if you ask).

There were nice homey touches; ammenities for personal grooming, tea bags and even a yukata. Conveniently, I ate dinner @ it's resturant downstairs and the food was delicious. Also, the pension was close to the train station.

While the pension had it's own charm, I had to lug my heavy suitcase up and down narrow and steep stairs. Also, the walls are thin and you could hear every door opening or closing as well as people conversing. Lastly, there was a little mold on the shower curtains.

If you are not expecting complete luxury, then this place is ideal. Quirky little place with the basics and for the price, very adequate. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The food in the hotel was great, and lucky for us as places to eat in village are few and close early. Would stay again.

It was really nice to have a very good restaurant in the first level as it was delicious and affordable. It was always nice to get some dinner after a long day of walking. The place is perfectly located, very close to Kinugawa Onsen station and an hour train ride to Tobu-Nikko station.

It was just a bit noisy at night, when other guests arrived at night. But it wasn't a big deal.
