The private room with attached bathroom which has separated toilet & shower + basin. Room is pretty spacious and the shared kitchen has everything you need and the vibe is great for backpackers. Japanese breakfast is a 500yen voucher for you to redeem at a nearby restaurant which is quite nice.

1. The lift waiting time. 2. The location is 200m away from local metro but it is not convenient if you want to strictly use your JR pass as the nearest JR station is JR Namba which is about 2km away or you have to pay for metro, change at Shin Imamiya which is about 3 stops away.

Very convenient location for Dontonburi and Osaka Castle. Surrounded by great restaurants/bars. Upgraded hostel, we stayed in a private room that appears to have previously been an apartment room. Great modern bathroom with shower and nice comfy beds and personal A/C. Lots of outlets.

Having only one elevator that always stopped at the 2nd floor lobby was a little inconvenient.

-quiet area, but still close to walk to main attractions -large kitchen to prepare or heat meals if needed -coffee and tea available all day -coin op laundry facilities -our private room had everything we needed- large shower and sink room with separate toilet area -we were early and able to leave our bags in the lobby and lounge using WiFi while we waited for check in -directly across the street from Lawson convenience store, which had wonderful treats

-a bit more money than we are used to paying while traveling, but that is Japanese pricing!

The property lets you select which type of breakfast you would prefer during check-in. I chose the Japanese option and was given coupons which I used at a Japanese restaurant within 300 meters of the property. The location of the property is very strategic. It's close to two Osaka Metro stations which makes it easy when your walking with your luggage to and from the station from the airport. Because it is around the Shinsaibashi area, you are very close to a lot of food and shopping options. The Glico Man which a lot of tourists go and visit is within a 10-minute walk.

I guess due to the location of the area (and this is becoming a norm here in Japan) - accommodations lock their entrances by midnight for security reasons. Also, because this is technically a hostel, no food and drinks are allowed to be consumed inside your room (even if you get a private room).

One of the best hostels. I was in the mixed dorm one night and the female only dorm another night. Both are great but the female dorm is smaller so less noisey and have private showers. There is 24 hour security. They give free toothbrush, towel and razor upon arrival/request. I left some of my toiletteries behind by mistake and they kept it for me. Really well organized hostel with full kitchen, free coffee/tea and across a Lawson.

Not a big complaint but you do have to set your own sheets which they provide. I was exhausted from my travel and hoped to plop down but needed to make my bed first.

Beds were private pods with curtains plug sockets and lights. Bedding was great quality. Reception were lovely. Location was great. Showers were excellent.

It said I could have breakfast there included but it turns out it was a voucher to a different cafe 5 around the corner. They should have a loyalty system, it would encourage me to stay with them next time too..

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave suggestions and advice on places to go. If you speak English there was a guy whose name slips my mind unfortunately and he speaks fluently. He also speaks like 4 other languages too. The doom rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms and shower areas. Like other hostels don’t forget to bring a towel and washcloth. The first towel is free but after that you’ll have to pay for those. Overall would recommend the stay.

The only complaint I had was my bunk mate at the top must of been playing with dice or something every couple minutes there was something dropping that sounded like dice. It was a little bothersome but not the Stays fault.

The location of this hostel is amazing but for me, the best bit was the huge and multi-functional lounge. It takes up the whole floor and is such a great place to relax in. I stayed in a female dorm room and the capsule itself was quite spacious and so was the room. It was just a short walk down the hallway to the female only showers/toilets.

The worst bit by far was my mattress (two terrible nights of sleep thanks to it), not just because it was so hard but you could feel and hear the springs in it as you slept. I tried to cushion myself a bit with the duvet but it wasn’t great. I would absolutely return to stay here if they fixed this issue in the girls dorm. I’m not sure if other beds were the same….

Shinsaibashi, Namba, Dotonbori, and Nipponbashi are all within walking distance. For train travel, if you center your activities around Shinsaibashi, which is a bit of a walk from Nagahoribashi, you can access most tourist spots. The dormitory is slightly spacious, with a bit of space next to the bed, making it convenient to place your luggage. The facility seems to be well-cleaned.

The maintenance of the diatomaceous earth mats in the shower room is lacking. Since water-absorbing mats for the shower room might be difficult, it would be better if there were mops to wipe the water splashes in the shower room. If there were towel racks on both sides inside the room, you could stretch a laundry rope across, so it would be great if this could be added if possible.

The breakfast was ok. We only tried it once. I was not happy that I was not allowed to have extra butter. It was also quite cold when we were served - however we had access to the oven to reheat. We preferred to buy food from the Lawsons across the road.

I would have preferred if the microfibre towels that were on the vanities in the bathroom were fresh daily. Perhaps they were?? Maybe it was bad timing? Also the only other major thing that was a problem for us was the staff were not willing to help us figure out how to book a taxi. Plus it would be good if the hostel was able to arrange luggage transfer to our next destination. We had to use the Lawsons that was nearby and their staff did not speak very good English on the day that we needed to book the service.
