Our first time in Osaka and the family running Hotel Kuramoto are very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasant surprise for us to be taken to our room and shown where everything is and given a round down of what to expect at the hotel.Fabulously clean and rooms were serviced each day. Location good and stations not that far a walk. The hot bath at the hotel was great. We were very grateful to have someone manning the desk 24 hours a day. We had a couple of very long days and there was always someone there to welcome us back to the hotel Would stay here again.

We wanted to experience a traditional ryokan and this place delivered that experience, the feeling of stepping back in time, the owner and staff are so kind and accommodating to anything you need or want to know, this ryokan has a public bath and they encouraged me to use this, I’m tattooed from neck to feet and they had no issue in this which was a fantastic experience. Do yourself a favour and come stay here!

I personally couldn’t find anything I disliked

Of course the onsen, but also the breakfast room, which looked very friendly and open. The breakfast itself was very good as well, especially nice as it was a traditional breakfast - as well as traditionally served. The room was nice, but of course traditionally small as a Japanese room with futons. We got exactly what we expected as a "typical Japan experience"

More hangers for towels would have been good - no real place to dry wet towels or put the hand towel.

The staff were great, always very friendly and the location is another bonus as it is within walking/train distance to most things. They were a great place to stay even when my Japanese was basically zero.

For the price and location you can't really complain about anything here. If had to be nitpicky it would be an extra pillow would be great.

The Japanese ambience of the overall hotel was superb. The overall interior felt old but authentic. The public bathroom was small but it was clean and cozy. The staff were very polite and were able to communicate in basic English. They had great smiles too. And they lent us umbrella when they saw it was raining.

The futons were slightly thin. When I woke up the next morning, my ass felt pain as if I had sat for a very long journey. The toilet seat's heater in our room was not functioning.

The authentic feeling, and being in a real Ryokan 😄 The staff (owners?) Were perfect and so kind! It was a special experience that I will treasure 🥰 Also quiet place but close to everything! (1 km to the train, so a little walk to the ryokan).

I think it would be nice if there was some renovation soon, the sink was leaking and the bathroom seemed old. But it sort of gave a nice charm.

I liked how much room there was inside our accommodation; the furnishings and appearance of the room were a snapshot of traditional Japan, including an area to take off your shoes and sliding doors. The bath was good too.

The futons had holes in them, and the bidet wasn't working in our bathroom. The bathroom lighting was also quite dim, which made it hard on my eyes.

The personal is very very good; they offer support and guidance whenever is needed. in the room, you can have the experience of a real Japanese room, with the small and short tables and chairs; the tatami floor and the beds in the floor.

If you are used to sleep in a comfy mattress, these beds are not the ones for you.

The staff is friendly, they can communicate in English. The Public Bath is good, and it very near, walking distance to Dotonbori.

It's a bit far from nearest train station, you need to walk around 15-20 minutes if you carrying luggage. Overall the stay is ok, just some places like ceilings looks a bit old and has a little stains.

Really enjoyed the bath at right temperature (not too hot). Staff was very professional and the facility relaxing.

Something they can improve is simply to put a clock in public bath (or changing room) because sometimes you need to be on schedule and it's hard to guess when enjoying.
