The hotel is located just above Nagahoribashi station which is very convenient when getting around. You don't have to walk far to grab a bite to eat because there are several restaurants located nearby. One ramen restaurant is located on the corner of the hotel just outside and there is a club just across the hotel. Walking distance to Dotonbori which we loved! We mainly chose this hotel because of the location and easy access to the metro. They had amenities located in lobby free of charge and several vending machines for beverages. Breakfast was delicious and I loved the spread, soup, curry salad some entrees and breads. Beverages served as well. Hotel Staff were very courteous and polite. Overall our stay was pleasant for the price we paid.

Hotel room at first smelled very smoky but turning on air humidifier made it more cleaner. Bed was kind of hard but for the price that it was it was manageable.

whilst the room was small. it was perfect for a solo traveller. I put my bag open against the window and had space to move around the other parts of the room. I loved the bathroom. especially the bath, it was perfect after a long day of walking. I requested my room not be cleaned for my 5 day stay, they placed fresh towels on the door every day. they did need to clean the room on one of the days.

most of the lights were on the same switch. I like to sleep with some light on but I could only have the room light, a small lamp above my head or the bathroom light which made the fan run. pillow was a little hard. room was quite warm and I tried making the ac work but wasn’t sure if it actually did work. the lock on the door handle didn’t work, but the other lock above the door handle did.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Ark Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi during my trip to Japan, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the overall experience. The hotel's location was fantastic, situated in the heart of Osaka's bustling Shinsaibashi district. It was just a short walk to the nearest train station, making it easy to explore the city's top attractions, including the famous Dotonbori street and Osaka Castle. The rooms were spacious, modern, and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities to make my stay pleasant. The bed was cozy, and I appreciated the complimentary toiletries and Wi-Fi access. What really stood out to me was the hotel's customer service. The staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and always went the extra mile to ensure my stay was enjoyable. They provided useful information about the local area, helped me navigate around the city, and even made restaurant recommendations.

Overall, I highly recommend the Ark Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable stay in Osaka. I would definitely return on my next visit to Japan.

Lots of positives: - VERY close to the subway station, and close to Dotonbori & Shinsaibashi - fresh towels daily left at the door - vending machine drink vouchers - luggage storage, wifi, radio, alarm, bath tub - very spacious room by Japanese standards

The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable.The walls are quite thin too, we could hear a lot of noise from other people.

Location is the best, just 15 seconds walk to the subway exit. Closed to Shinsaibashi shopping area, even if it's raining you could easily access there through an underground street without getting wet. There is a comics library at the lobby that all guests could read anytime.

The only downside is the room is quite small, but I guess it's quite normal in Japan.

I really love the location. Hotel is just beside the subway exit and about 10 min walk to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi shopping street. Though I booked a no-room-cleaning-service, they provide new towels daily and they still clean the room for every 2 nights of stay.

I had the eco room so they only cleaned every third day. It gave a sense of privacy which I liked.

location was excellent, right on top of metro station. Very good service from staff. Room was adequate with all amenities, although small.

although i booked non smoking room, there was still a smell of smoke that could not be dispelled despite all the air freshener provided.

Tiny tv with only local Japanese channels. If you cannot offer international travelers news + movie channels in English then at least please upgrade to smart tvs so we can watch Youtube or Netflix.

Property is right next to a train station and it’s 10 minute walk to the bustling area of Dotonbori.

The bed was slightly uncomfortable and the pillow was very wierd… seems like it was filled with some type of plastic beads. We only stayed one night tough so it wasn’t that bad.
