Clean, modern room and comfortable bed. Rooms are on the small side, but not overly small considering the standard in Japanese hotels. For a one-night stay it was great.

Not the hotel's fault, but beware of booking.com trying to get you to "upgrade to a room with a private bathroom". All rooms have private bathrooms, yet I constantly got upsell emails and messages to get me to pay more for what was essentially the same room, but a smoking room instead of non-smoking. Apparently booking.com think an "upgrade" means paying extra for something you already have, and changing to a smelly smoking room. Bizarre!

We’ve stayed here before and love the location. Perfectly situated in the very heart of Akihabara and a 30-second walk to the Akihabara Station. The room is small, but great in comparison to most in Tokyo and the bath is full-sized as well as a full-length bathroom mirror. Good size for a couple, but if you’re larger-framed the bed will be a bit too small for two people.

Although the room was very clean overall, once again, the bathrooms (under and around the toilet) were particularly filthy and had not been cleaned in a long time. There was so much hair and dirt all around the toilet that it was a bit off-putting.

Washington Akihabara is in proximity to almost everything, we have decided to rest 2 days before our departure from japan and we still found ourselves doing a lot of things. It’s a walking distance from akihabara station and the jr station, probably a 5 minute walk. Also like a 5 minute walk from: GU, Uniqlo, Starbucks, Mcdonalds, Familymart, 7/11, Lawson, Yodobashi Mall, Electric Town, Drugstore and just about a lot of food options. We haven’t even explored the other side and yet there’s so much to do just around. And a few mins walk, maybe 15-20, there is also a Don Quijote, maid cafes everywhere, and etc. Hotel has amazing facilities, like hair blower inside the room, microwave oven and laundry on the reception floor, laundry can get crowded and the other guests is annoying for leaving their laundries way past the finish time but this is not the hotels fault, the laundry only has 3 washer and 3 dryers, but it’s open 24 hours and inside the hotel, so we sometimes do our laundries on our pjs. There is also ice dispenser and water dispenser on the reception area whenever you need a refill. Refreshment vendo machines are also available per every floor, and there is a restaurant floor on the building as well. Room also has everything you need, so you may choose not to bring anything, like toiletries ( including razor and hair brush, which you can get on the reception ), shampoo and conditioner, as well as towels and they even provide a night wear! We stayed winter and didn’t really need to open heater as well as air conditioning. There is a humidifier inside the room as well, we made use of it every night so it’s not drying for our throats overnight. We are positive we will be staying here again, and amazing staff!

Selection of food for the breakfast is not that many. Although i love the laundry, i hope they come up with a stricter rules regarding guests leaving their clothings way past the finished time of washing and drying, otherwise no one will be able to use it

The location can't be beat. If you leave Akihabara station through the south Central Gate and it's right there! The room was small, but great for the price. There was plenty of room for me traveling alone and my suitcases. Staff was extremely friendly. They knew minimal English but were willing to work closely with me to figure out what I needed. They helped me ship my luggage through Yamato Transport and it all showed up safely at the airport. I will be staying here again when I go back to Tokyo.

There are some parts of the bathroom that could have been cleaned better (grout). You could hear emergency sirens sometimes when they rolled through, but mostly quiet.

The location was absolutely great! My partner and I spent alot of time in Akihabara, so it was great to have a close hotel to quickly put down our goods, and go out again to buy more things! Bathtub was also bigger than our previous stays, and it could fit the 2 of us. Hotel service staff was also very friendly and accommodating! They were always there ready to help us when needed (e.g. when we enquired about the laundry washing machine, when we needed a taxi to get to our airport). The room was great too, we could open our luggages fully and still had a little space to walk. We had a window looking out into the river canal, and the sunlight was great. All in all, a great time! We spent 7 nights there.

Not much to dislike, perhaps the lack of an onsen. Having an onsen in a shared floor would be great, but not complaining!

Staff was super friendly, room was small but nice and had what we needed. We felt safe and comfy, and the location couldn't have been better.

Bed was extremely hard. The mattress didn't give at all, which caused me a lot of pain. Even my husband who can sleep on most surfaces didn't sleep well, and the bed was pretty small too.

As per usual, this is my 2nd long stay at Akihabara Washington Hotel. The staff was very kind and responsive when i asked to extend my stay by yet another 5 days. Over my stay of around 20 days, the hotel has been a good place for respite due to the location and services as well as fast wifi. I am looking forwards to my 3rd long stay here near the end of 2024.

Having water dispensers on each floor would have been a good touch so that guests can refill water during their stay would have been a good addition to the overall quality of life.

Convenient location can be the best description you can describe Washington Hotel for the following reasons: -Its directly beside Akihabara station Yamanote Line and Hibiya line, -It has a Starbucks accross the street, -There is a Family Mart nearby -Yodobashi Akiba is just a corner away, -past Yoddobashi are several fast food chains and a 7/11. The as for the room, ours was spacious enough to accomodate us and our luggage. Also, the view from our room

The location is really good if you want to explore Akihabara, It's 2 minutes away from the train station. The card keys provided security as it defined wich floors you had access in the building. They had drinks vending machines in each floor, and that helped a lot.

The room was a bit too small, I was traveling with my fiance and he always had to go over me to get out of the bed, there is a really tiny space between the bottom of the bed and the wall so it's almost impossible to get out from there. The toilet flush is really loud and the bathroom positioned in a way that the other person in the room would be woken up by the light, no dim light with sensors in the bathroom and the light switch was outside. Also, since the location is really close to the train station, you could hear the noise of trains passing by, the noise wasn't too bad, but if you have sensitive hearing may become a problem.

The best thing about this hotel it is the location. You are literally in the middle of akihabara. You can take stroll all around akiba easy and move extremely fast with the station at just on crosswalk. The elevators work with your room key so you just place the card near the reader and it takes you to your floor.

The cleaning is a bit bad, it’s common to find hair yours or of the previous tenant, even thou they “cleaned” the room. I feel like that’s the only complain. Well also, they started construction in may, I made my reservation in February and they didn’t tell me about it so in terms of communication also lacks a bit
