This was our first Japanese hotel and I was surprised what they can fit in such a compact space. The bed was comfortable and as we were out and about each day the small space was not a problem. The laundry rooms had washer/dryer machines that were the cheapest I have ever used. We had breakfast included and after some confusion on morning one as to how the process worked, google translate came to the rescue, and we settled in. Each morning you received a breakast plate of a strange mix of salad, pickled veggies, cold meat, hot meat or chicken rissole and egg roll, all of which were very tasty. There was also tea, coffee, miso, curry, rice and a small selection of breads. The train station was only five minutes walk away, but then the main centre of Tokyo, Parks and the Zoo at Ueno were within 2 kms - so also very walkable. Many small food places were in the surrounding streets.
I didn't like the pillows, but soon came to realise that the pillows in all the hotels were the same. They are flat or big and quite hard and the underside (or is it the topside) is full of beans or some kinds of hard balls.

Good service and spacious for a business hotel solo room. Located close to stations and relatively close to adjacent neighbourhoods too.
Hotel was great, and location is very convenient for both metro, JR and walking to Akihabara or Jimbocho area. These are specific to personal issues experienced but my tap wasn't functioning right and only ran water consistently when it was on max pressure. Clothes took 3-4 days to dry despite bathroom ventilation being on (they don't have laundry in the hotel, so I used the nearby Pierrot). And I think there's only one elevator for the whole hotel - only had an issue with it once but it was a long wait haha

Hotel was very well presented. Room was beautiful and clean. All rooms in Japan are small so I wasn't surprised by the size. It was actually quite comfortable. Their complimentary toiletries were good quality. Staff were friendly. They held our bags after check out while we went exploring. Short walk to Akihabara and lots of coffee shops nearby. Kanda Station is only a few mins on foot and Tokyo Station is only 20mins. Lots of power outlets.
The bathroom smelled a little mouldy and the hot water didn't get hot hot. Bed was very firm.

What a brilliant hotel, perfect for our stay in Tokyo. Location Just a 3min walk from Kanda metro, which itself is 1 stop from Tokyo station, the main hub of the city. Excellent location for connecting to metro lines, main rail lines and the bullet train. Also a good hub for taking a walk to nearby temples and attractions in the popular tourist district. Room All hotels in Tokyo are relatively small and while this was no exception the space was well organised and presented. Plenty of storage space under the bed, nice little fridge, big TV and lots of little amenities, not to forget a bath and shower. Staff Very friendly and always willing to answer questions.
There was nothing we didn't like. The hotel was brilliant and we loved it.

This was our second stay at APA Kanda Ekimae, and we are delighted to say it met our expectations once again. Located just 10 minutes walk from the awesome Akihabara in a quieter neighborhood, the hotel is a comfortable and accessible base for Tokyo exploration. Kanda station is very well connected to all JR lines, and just 1 stop from Tokyo station. It honestly couldn't be much easier to get around the city from here. We like it as it is much smaller and less busy than Shibuya, Shinjuku, etc. Giving the whole area a more chilled experience to the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas.
The breakfast is the same each morning, consisting of fish, omelet, chicken, salad, and other bits. There is no other option, so consider using the 7/11 opposite the hotel if you're not a fan of Japanese breakfast.

I stayed at Hotel APA Kanda Ekimae 1 month ago and it was perfect. Really close to the Kanda station. And 5 minutes walking to Akihabara. There are many restaurants and cafes around the hotel. The room was really clean and modern. The bed was quite comfortable and big. There were many switch and USB connections in the room, which was quite satisfying too. Besides the staff was amazing. They were really kind and helped me when I had a problem about a ticket concert I couldn't resolve / understand by myself. Really professional in all services I had questions like how I could send luggage to the next destination or how get to any point of Tokyo. Furthermore, if you didn't understand Japanese, they use quickly a device can translate to your language. They made me feel really care. Thank you so much from Spain 🇪🇦

The location of the property was excellent since it was exactly near Kanda station which also connected to various other prefectures through the Yamanote line. In the hotel itself everything you’d need was already provided and fresh accommodations were brought daily.
It’s not really a problem itself since it is APA Hotel’s intended design but, the rooms are quite narrow so big luggages are hard to open and organize. But as I already said, it isn’t that big of a deal.

Room is clean. Amenities are provided. Bonus point is that a very famous ramen is just right under the hotel. Hotel is near to Akihabara (1 train stop away/ 12 min walk away- to reach Akihabara Donki). Room are just enough for 2 pax.
Window unable to open and tend to be quite stuffy and warm even thought is winter (end Feb- beginning March). However manage to get a portable cooler from the staff after feedback to the staff. The wifi is very slow and it get disconnected sometimes.

PRICE: APA Hotel is known for its affordable accommodations and this was no different. Considering the location of the hotel, it was definitely worth it. LOCATION: It's within walking distance from JR Kanda Station. This already is awesome. There are nearby convenience stores, izakayas. Akihabara is within walking distance. Tokyo Station is one station away. Other sightseeing spots such as Ueno is also accessible via JR Line. ROOM: The room where I stayed was facing the street and it was generally quiet. The size was just right for one person. It was comfortable. For some reason, I found the room lighting just right, neither too bright nor too dark so it was kind of relaxing. MATTRESS: The bed was quite firm. It's perfect for me because I like this kind of bed. ROOM AMENITIES: In addition to the usual amenities, I liked it that there were power outlets at the bed headboard. There was also a paper crane origami which I thought was really kind and thoughtful. STAFF: The staff at the reception when I checked in was very helpful. They were friendly and smiled a lot.
This didn't bother me so much but just a note to other people if you're considering to stay at this hotel: JR Line is nearby so you could hear the train sound a bit.

Check in and out were both quick and easy. The room was very cozy with a fantastic shower. The bed was extremely comfortable! Super fluffy blanket and comfy memory foam pillows. Honestly one of the best beds I’ve ever slept in. We were worried it would be narrow for a couple or short for a 6ft man, but it was spacious. The location was close to a station, near lots of izakaya, and a short walk to Akihabara or Tokyo Station. There was a laundromat around the corner. The amenities in the bathroom were also fantastic and replenished every day so you don’t have to bug the front desk for anything.
The room is narrow like practically anywhere in Tokyo. However, the space under the bed helped. It was a bit difficult for two people to manoeuvre in the room. As well, the air conditioning was switched off (the staff couldn’t turn it on) so we had to crack the window, which was generally fine but sometimes there was cigarette smoke outside. It was November but since we’re from a colder climate we found the room hot.
