Staff was friendly, nice place to sit and eat, drink or read, clean toilets, showers, bathroom in general.

'Rooms' were not clean enough, found some old dirt, so called 'blankets' should have linen to cover it all.

Very quiet at night despite many guests. Book and bed is well located in shunjuku. Interior decoration/design is very cool, the books and furniture create a cozy atmosphere. The accommodation offers a great view.

The sanitary facilities such as showers, washbasins and toilets were dirty at all times of the day. Apparently it wasn't cleaned every day, because dirt from the previous days, such as old hair ties or hair, accumulated on the floor or in the sink. The floor in the lounge area and the tables in the breakfast room were also not cleaned, even breakfast was served on the dirty table. I traveled in Japan for three weeks and never stayed in a single accommodation that was so dirty. When i prepeared the bed, old clouds of dust appeared.

The staff were fantastic, the location was perfect, and the coffee at the cafe was also very good! The novelty of the property was fun and there were plenty of books to read in the common area if you were bored. The bathroom facilities were basic but adequate, and it was a great spot for a short stay or something unique.

The bathrooms were shared, cleaned once a day, and could use a refresh. The facilities were basic, but adequate for a short stay. The mattress in the pod was thin and more like a ryokan mattress. Good for short stays, but we stayed for 4 nights and it was a bit much.

The situation is very good in entertainment area Shinjuku, even a little bit restless. The hotel was silent because it was on the 8th floor. The place is very cozy and unique and has lots of cute details. The café is very nice and stylish even the menu is small. The capsule is spacious.

The thin bed and thin pillow weren't so comfort. You sleep in the common area so there is not so much privacy. There is background music from 9 to 24 so you can't sleep before or after the music starts.

The place is well located if you want to go out and immediately being in the heart of the city. Internally is really intimate and relaxing, and if you struggle with sleeping there are books!!! Love the vibes, i'll definitely come back.

Hosts could be more polite when using toilets cleaning the sink, maybe an advertisement could help. Moreover in my bed, on the locker there was some dust that should be cleaned more carefully.

The only things were was the futon was a rock and the bathroom wasn’t clean. Although these things are manageable. We love book and bed

The duvet/pillow case bed sheets set up was a little awkward, I have OCD so ended up just not using the duvet and slept in bedsheets.

Privacy of the room, toilets very clean and location. Possibility to leave bagagge before check-in.

Extra cost to leave the bagagge after 4pm.

The interior and design for the books and beds are really nice. Its also quiet because of the atmosphere of a "library" so you'll have no problems sleeping.

They only had 2 women shower rooms so you can understand how messy it is to wait, not knowing who is next in line. I'd like to suggest a name sheet for the shower queue to make it organized. Another is if you sleep on the upper row of the beds, you'll need to use their ladder. The ladder there is only for aesthetics. Since you take off your shoes to climb up, bare foot and pipe ladders are super painful. Not sure if they actually tired it but I've seen some of my neighbors fall down trying to get off the bed. Its a hazard really.

A little but stylish and surprisingly quiet hostel right in the heart of busy Shinjuku that has the basics down. The staff was mostly very forthcoming and helpful! If you are a lone traveller who enjoys the nightlife but is in need of a break here and there, then this is perfect.

Some of the staff weren't as friendly. But do keep in mind that some seem to work very late or long hours, so I understand. Aside from that, I think that the Café is a bit pricey. But that too can be understood, as there is a gimmick to what's served. Didn't catch me personally is all.
