Modern and well equipped, good access/short distance to subway

Unmanned self-checkin works well but no contact person available for questions/help, no English speaking personnel available - even for the emergency phone number provided

Checkin process was easy. We had a group of six comprise of two adults and four kids, and while accommodation was on the smaller side, we were all comfortable and it added to the experience. It's not easy to find a room that would fit our family of six in one room and Sakura Cross Hotel was a great option. Location wise, it was close to the convenient store so we can pick up breakfast in the morning, and close to the train station. Facility was clean and we loved the shower! Because our itinerary started in Tokyo, followed by visits to other parts of Japan before ending back in Tokyo, we decided to stay at this same property during both parts of our trip, and we were happy with this decision, as by the end of our trip, we were very familiar with the area.

Truly, we were happy with our choice. The one thing to be aware of is in general, front desk/reception is typically empty but staff is reachable by WhatsApp and Booking.com, and they are responsive via those channels.

The hotel was in a quiet area but only a 10 minute walk from the metro and 20 minute walk from the busiest parts of Shinjuku. It was the perfect base to explore from. There are several convenience stores nearby if you need anything and a coin laundry 3 minutes away. The rooms are very clean and tidy and while we had to stand sideways to pass each other in the hall there was ample room to relax and hang out. We had the six person room for a family of four (kids 11 & 13) and it was a great size. Really nice shower too!

Nice to get a place where our family of 4 could stay together. My wife and I slept in the Queen and each teen had a bunk bed. The place is tight for 4 large adults but we liked it. The room was very modern and the shower was great as it was totally enclosed so acted like a sauna after long, long days out. The property is in a quiet area but only a few blocks from the action of Shinjuku.

I’m 6’4 so my feet and head just touched the foot and head boards of the queen. if you are over 6’4 you may need to look elsewhere.

My family of 5 (2 adults/3 kids) were very comfortable with the room we had (The Sakura generously gave us an upgrade). The beds and comforters were a treat after a day of sightseeing. The bathroom was top notch and the shower was excellent (great water pressure). We were very happy with the amount of towels provided - it may seem arbitrary - but all the hotels we stayed in on our 3 week Asia trip never had enough for our family. The Sakura was our home away from home and we would definitely recommend staying here!

The property was east to find and in a good location. I liked that we were able to open the windows. The layout of the family unit was amazing - loved the bunk bed. tatami floor/bed area, and the alcove with double bed. it fit all five of us perfectly. The refrigerator was helpful. There was no microwave. I really liked the contactless online check in process.

The towels could use some freshening up. Early check in, early drop off of luggage, checking in luggage are not allowed/possible.

Clean rooms with plenty of bed space. Quiet area with plenty of convenience stores nearby. Great for family of 4. Bathrooms clean and modern. We really liked the hotel and would recommend to a family that wants a quiet place to stay away from crazy areas.

A little hard to find, but not the fault of the hotel. No front hotel staff if you need to send luggage, but there are ways to send and receive luggage on your own.

Very clean, ok location 20 min walk to Shinjuku. Self serve was great, we did not see or need any staff for our stay. We stayed with our child, they were very happy with the bunk bed

A little far from Shinjuku but good

The hotel is excellent value for the cost. We found it clean and comfortable with a nice set up for our family. It was efficient use of space. The location was convenient and walkable to main attractions near Shinbuku Station. The automated check-in and check out process was easy. The staff were helpful and responsive when we needed them and had questions. We would stay here again.

The beds were very comfortable, and the room was unique and fun. Everything in the room was clean, functional, and comfortable. We had a nice stay.

The elevator had an unpleasant odor. There was a sign in the lobby that said "do not vomit in the hotel" which we found a bit off-putting, that said, the room was clean, functional, and quite comfortable.
