The location of the hotel is fantastic, close to all the interesting sites. The breakfast nicely served in the pleasant room downstairs. The staff extremely helpful and friendly always. The only small thing i would mention, are the curtains in the bed room which left quite some light through. But very interesting settings in the whole of the hotel. I will recommend it to friends who want to visit Riga. My partner got ill and had to go to hospital. The hotel staff helped us as much as possible. Thank you

As mention, the curtains in our bedroom were a bit light and didn't close easily. But well done otherwise.

The Hotel has a perfect location in the old town Riga, so it’s very comfortable getting by the city as well as the train/bus station. The hotel is very cosy, nice old 30s style, great to take pictures inside! The staff were all very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was very good as well as very neatly served! It was one of the best stays in Riga!

Since it is in the heart of old town, nights might be a bit loud, but closing the windows helps to keep the noise down. There is a coffee machine and kettle on the 2nd floor but no milk or refrigerator to store it. Would be great to have these in the room, but not a big problem :)

The location couldn't be more perfect, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Public transport is very close, and all of major attractions are reachable by walking. The breakfast is simple; however, all food is fresh and delicious. The room is very spacious, and the view is nice. The beds are surprisingly comfortable.

The room was not cleaned all that much prior to our visit. The room can get very cold, and the heater provided doesn't warm it much. The bathroom is in dire need of renovation - water pressure is very low, the layout is odd, and there are a lot of weird stains.

The hotel was lovely! Perfect breakfast in the morning, enormous room, plenty of hot water & excellent reception.

This is absolutely not the hotel's fault, just a word of advice for anyone going to Riga for the first time! The old town is somewhat lackluster, despite what every other review said, my friends & I really liked the new town far more and wish we'd stayed over there! We asked a few people and they said COVID absolutely wrecked the old town, so perhaps it'll come back again some day, but if you're looking for a fun base to explore Riga, we all agreed we wished we had stayed in the new area.

The keys to my room were left on the reception desk when I arrived which was a nice way of doing it. I didn't have to check-in until the next morning which was quick and easy. The room I was staying in was massive and had a very rustic/traditional Latvian feel to it. The bathroom was spacious and was topped up with clean linen everyday. The windows were also huge and the bed was super comfortable, possibly the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept on. Also, despite being located in the Old Town, pretty much the centre of Riga, there was very little-to-no noise whatsoever at night outside which was fantastic for me as I am a light sleeper. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. Very happy that I chose this hotel especially considering how much cheaper it is compared to it's nearby bigger competitors.

Floorboards in my room were a bit creaky, but I didn't mind it too much. The curtains for the windows weren't dark enough and were also too short to go across the entire length of the windows which meant that a lot of light came through at night. Finally, breakfast was okay, nothing special, they could definitely benefit from having more to offer to guests.

The location was excellent, close to shops and superb restaurants. Breakfast was substantial with a variety of things to choose from. It was particularly nice to have tea and coffee, cakes and biscuits freely available throughout the day. The room was extremely warm despite the sub zero temperatures outside and the bed was large and very comfortable. There was an extra oil fired radiator in the room to plug in if necessary. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Riga.

This little hotel is just amazing. I had a huge room with traditional furniture, a very comfortable bed, a desk etc. If you want one of these modern restyled hotels, the hotel room is not for you. However, the lobby and breakfast room will be. It was calm although in the centre of town. Staff was extremely friendly and accomodating.

Nothing - or if I really have to find something: I found the electric installation somewhat difficult to understand, but managed to charge all my devices in the end.

1) Excellent location for sightseeing; 2) Very friendly and polite staff (they checked us in much sooner and offered to advise what to see around town); 3) Unlimited free coffee/ tea/boiled water next to the reception (also complementary cookies/little bite desserts) all day, and a 4) An excellent breakfast buffet!

1) Poor noise/sound isolation (it gets really noisy with music at night from all the parties in the old town and sometimes from the neighbours' baby crying/loud talking, so bring your ear plugs); 2) The quality of toiletries and towels could be better; 3) Not enough hangers for the towels (just one short bar, no even wall hooks), 4) No electric kettle/fridge/coffee/tea in the room.

The property is very picturesque, and blends in well with the beautiful architecture of Riga. Rooms were spacious, exceptionally clean with modern well equipped bathrooms. Staff are very welcoming with a smooth check in process. The all you can eat Continental Breakfast is served between 8-10am and has a good selection. The property is secure and has a key-code entry for guests, and is central to all amenities. There is a large indoor shopping mall directly across the road from the property, that houses a large Rimi supermarket for all your essentials. Brilliant, quiet central location, with a two minute walk to all the Old Town bars and restaurants.

Can’t fault anything

The location of the hotel is excellent close to all the important sites in the old town. Our room was spacious and very warm which was wonderful as temperatures were down to -5. The breakfast was good and had lots of choice. Vitaly who was on breakfast duties was very helpful and delightful.

The shower in our room was over the bath which was high and it was tricky getting in and out. We are over seventy so I would recommend asking for a room with a walk in shower if anyone has mobility problems.
