Room was clean and nice. The hotel is huge, and it was a little confusing to find the room. The room was quiet and comfortable. Would recommend.

The location is at the periphery of the art nouveau districts, so any walk toward the centre will take you past gorgeous buildings and through leafy parks. Across the street from the hotel is cafe Cafyx, open for breakfast at 07:30 (as when I was there, Viktorija had no breakfast available). Viktorija is also very close to Kozy Eats (a vegan restaurant) and Big Bad Bagels. Thursday nights at the nearby Radisson Blu might offer a live jazz band, and across the road from the Blu is Cynic Bar, with very creative drinks. Counter staff at the hotel are friendly and helpful, there's a somewhat creaky lift, and I very much appreciated the non-carpeted floor in the room. Cleanlinesss is prized in the hotel, and it shows. And even though the hotel is on a main road, the double-glazed windows kept the room quiet.

The beds were a little too soft for my back, and the curtains could have been a little wider to help keep light out. I wonder about deep summer, though, when nights might be hot - an open window for ventilation would mean a lot of traffic noise as well.

The hotel location is nice. 24-hour front desk was also a must for me as I arrived after midnight. The bed was comfortable. The price for a single room with a bathroom was extremely pleasant. There are public transport stops within a few minutes walk from the hotel (bus, trolley bus, tram). Good choice of grocery stores and restaurants nearby.

No major complaints taking into account the price. There were a few minor ones though. There were only two sockets in the room: one was occupied by the TV, the other one by the bed light. If you have a few devices to charge you'll definitely need a power splitter. There was also a bit of mold on the bathroom wall and low water pressure in the shower.

This place is well worth of money. Even single room was not too small and well equipped. In bathroom there were basic necessities provided as well as slippers. There is small fridge in the room (actually even 2).

WiFi was weak. Doors were pretty thin and all sound came through. Place where to store clothes lacked. Room was also somewhat cold.

My 3rd time staying at Viktorija, so obviously I'm fairly enamoured of the place! This time, I booked far enough ahead as to reserve the suite, and a magnificent space it indeed is. Easily able to accommodate 4 people, this very large room will transport you back to the Art Nouveau period (except of course there was no YouTube TV back then!).

The bathtub had a couple of chipped enamel places that should be repaired, and the tap for the bathtub/sink could be replaced - it needs to be cranked very hard to close the water flow.

Great location, just a short walk from the city center. All necessary shops are nearby. Bus and train stations about 20 mins walk. The hotel itself located in beautiful beautiful with very nice interior inside. Reception workers are very friendly, they speak english and russian. I really loved the room, it was spacious and bright with big bathroom, frigerator, TV with many chanels. I think sound isolation was also very good, because I didn't hear any other people like it happens in many hotels. Definitely will come back if I will be in Riga again.

The only minus WIFI was disappearing quite ofter, otherwise everything is great

Fantastic value! I booked a single room and was upgraded to a large double room which was a nice surprise. The bed was a little squeaky but the mattress was uber comfortable. The staff were attentive but not overly friendly, which was fine but just a different style than what may be expected in Western countries. Easy 15 minute walk from all the main locations including the old town and bus station. Would stay again.

Nothing aside from perhaps more communication from the staff. That said it was a nice surprise that I got an upgrade and am definitely not going to complain about that!

The bed was comfortable, clean towels were provided every day, and the place was generally clean. Guest slippers were provided. The stand-up fan was useful. When I forgot something important in the room when I left, the staff called me soon after so that I was able to retrieve it before I left the city.

The hotel does have a feel of faded elegance. It has been renovated, but the choice of colours emphasizes the old rather than the elegant. The room is furnished with antique furniture which would look very nice if it were refinished, but as it is it just looks old and beaten up. The bathroom is very small and the sink was cracked.

I really liked the hotel's building and the old furniture inside, it created a special vibe with all that high ceilings and everything. Nice location of about 15-20 minutes walk from the old town, a good opportunity to observe not only typical places in Riga, but its lovely surroundings. In the hotel was a bar with drinks, but there are also a lot of pubs and cafes nearby that is very convenient. Also, my special thanks to the hotel receptionist who did his best to find my phone's charger that I forgot in the room before check out! It was very professional and pleasant.

It was noisy when the window was opened, but sometimes you can't do anything about it in the big city. Also, one of the bed was not comfortable enough and had a sort of hole in the middle.

For just 44 euros, a junior suite and a huge double bed. Not sure why the rating isn't higher. The rooms were spacious and we liked the old-fashioned shabbiness of the place. There was a fridge and a kettle was supplied on request. Great location surrounded by fabulous Art Nouveau buildings and a 15-minute walk to the train station.

The sink was cracked and the toilet didn't quite stop flushing. A revamp will see prices shoot up. Right now, it's a real bargain and the imperfections are more than made up for by the charm of the rooms and the building.
